Warranty what?

AT&T makes warranty pretty easy for the customers. They put EVERYTHING you'll need to ship it back to them in the box with the phone.

So this woman just came in with three boxes stacked on top of each other.

C- "Can you box these for me?"

M- ".... sure?"

She places three open boxes on the counter. Being sure that the woman can see me, I very slowly take the tape and shipping label out of one box, seal it, then apply the label. She looks at me like I've just performed some kind of magic.

C- "Is that it? That's all you have to do?"

M- "Yes. Everything you need is in the box."

C- "Wow! Has UPS been by here today?"

M- "No, but these are USPS, not UPS."

C- "Oh, the Post Office! Now I have to drive all the way over there...

Cheap Customers

So does anyone understand why people are so cheap. I keep having customers coming into the store wanting the lg vu. They rave about how cool the phones is gonna be and then they ask how much. Well no one knows yet but of course it gonna be 200 or 300 hundred bucks im sure and they people get mad cause thats totally expensive. i thought it would be free they say. BS you idiots if you want quality and entertainment then you have to pay. Stupid people 😢 Im going insane

Tired. Extremely tired. It is 4:00AM here and I am at work for 10 hours. But atleast after that 10 hours I get to teach annoying kids Judo for another hour and a half... And I didn't sleep last night. I am not complaining, just thought you should all know.

You're going to do what to the phone?

Had a business customer of mine that had been having problems with their phone come in today. Due to the nature of the problems, I previously had sent the phone straight to MOTO for repair. Well, same problem exists, and now customer is out of standard warranty period. When I called Moto, they told me that they would allow repairs/replacement on this device due to it being in the facility within the last 120 days.

Now for any of you out there who have ever had to call and speak with the CELLULAR department of Moto, would know that when you call them, you're ALWAYS calling outside of the country and speaking with someone who can barely repeat a plain sentence in english back to you successfully. the lady who walked into my store and tried to get a second rebate for her phone.

lady walks in with a bag and a box i instantly know her i sold her a phone back in January. she pulls the box out of the bag and i am starting to run things in my head, i am sure you all don't need me to explain the C M thing
to protect the identities of those involved the names have been changed.

M-hi Mrs Jones, how ya been haven't seen you in a while.

C-they rejected my rebate they said i didn't put the bar code in the envelope.

i look at the letter and sure enough thats what it says, ok i think customer forgot to put it in, so i pull up her invoice while i try to think of a way to ask the following question without sounding accusing.

SPRINT SERVICE!!!

👿 👿 Okay so I work for a call center that deals with Sprint and i hate the fact that these people will call in and complain about there bill becz some other IDIOT screwed it up and we have to clean up there mess!!! But what I think is funny is when they threaten they are going to cancel there accnt and take everyone that they bought to Sprint, cuz I HONESTLY want to tell them to do that cuz there not hurting me only themself cuz they have to pay the fee of 200.00 and we will ALWAYS find some other IDIOT to sign up with us!!! IF YOU HAVE SPRINT DROP YOUR SERVICE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE METRO PCS LIKE WE HAVE IN TX BECZ THEY YOU WOULDNT HAVE TO DEAL WITH REPS WHO ARE TIRED OF GETTING YELLED AT!!! 😈 😈 😈

For the love of consistency...

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't fear change. I even enjoy it. It's part of what makes working in this industry bearable. New phones, new applications, new technology...I enjoy all of it.

What I don't enjoy is when a company can't get their footing and they constanty try new and ridiculous things to make it work. I'm not talking about being innovative, or thinking outside the box. I'm talking about the way they keep throwing out random objectives and changing the focus every couple of weeks so that the reps just end up running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I feel like as soon as I get my footing in one metric, they stop caring about it and all of a sudden there's twelve other things to focus on. Move your focus to those ...

Co-Workers

Hey here is a question/scenario for anyone...

Im the store lead in my store, well today is slow only 2 people wrking myself in that number and the oter is a 19yr old girl that spend most nights out partying, almost everyday she comes in complaining that she is tired and doesn't want to be here. Well today same story and then after lunch she goes into the back and lays her head on the bck table for like 1hr 1/2 finally she comes out n asks can we turn on the heat(its colder in the back)i say well ya and you can say out here. my question is - Do you all think I should bring this up to my manager??

What part of "Call from a different phone" don't you ****ing understand?!

She wanted a different make and model after having so many N75, but couldn't verify the account (I'm an at&t warranty rep, for those that don't know.) I was willing to help her, but she wouldn't help me help her.


M: Me
C: Cranky Btich


M: "I need you to take the battery ouf your phone."
C: "I'm on the phone"
M: "I apologize, ma'am; but you do need to be on a different phone"
C: "I've been dealing with this for an hour! Why didn't the first person tell me that?"
M: "It says so on the recording, ma'am".


That's only a part of what happened. She was a total bitch! I hope the next person gives her the same make and model! I'm a dick, huh? 👿

C:Um...i have a problem with my phone a person i'm sending a picture to can't get my picture.

Rep:Have you tried sending pictures to other people?

C: yes

Rep: Did they recieve them?

C: Yes, i sent out a mass picture text just one person can't recieve it

Rep: Sir that's a problem with the person who's recieving the text not yours

C: oh are you sure?

Rep: yes sir everyone else is getting your pcitures correct

C: Yes, just this one person can't

Rep:Sir they would have to call their phone provider to get assist on that



Honestly...I thought that was a dumb question...what's the dumbest thing you've heard a cust say or ask?

FREE

I'm so sick and tired of hearing that word. Its all customer seem to say these days. Can I get a free phone? Can I get a free bluetooth? Can I get a free car charger? Can I get free minutes? I mean seriously do people think that we get our phones from the magic phone tree and that it doesn't cost the company to actually get the phone to sell to them? I think I'm gonna start going to other place like best buy and ask if I can have free TVs.

Next person that asks for something free, I'm going to give them a free kick in the nuts.

M = You're paying for the ability to use your cellphone and take it with you. Unfortunately, we are simply not able to call someone for you, or transfer you to outside lines."

C1 - "Well, that's bull****, I want a manager. I'm going to report you!"

So I transfer him to a sup. I stay on the line for a second, and as he finished his whining, the sup says... "Ok, well, my agent did advise you that we are not a Switch Board Operator. Did you have anything related ...

hands down the weirdest last name ever...

so i worked on this chicks account today, and she was either born with the weirdest last name or she's really vain and had it changed, but this chicks last name was... 'everybodytalksabout'... i thought it was a joke but i had to ask the store rep and sure enough she said that was the chicks legal name.. so.. yeah weird.

My goodness

Customer care gets me worked up sometimes. How come they give me a hard time for asking for a credit for a price difference? If they wouldn't tell customers that my department will price match the website for upgrades then this wouldn't be an issue but of course, time and time again, they continue to do so. Well customer care, THIS is why I call you back! Because you even put notes in the account calling my department "webmatch" and now YOU must honor what you told the customer.
That is all.
Two days of wireless industry work for me.
Yay.
