So I know we've all had a customer come in with a phone and they have some kind of background on there that is less than PG. Craziest thing you've seen on a customer's phone? I don't go through my customers pictures, but sometimes you have no choice. Especially when moving them and sometimes you just catch a glimpse.

and i get a recorded greeting saying that we will be closed so our employees can be with there families 😳 WTF

but not slow enough, 23 calls and id like to have had like ooo 5 or 6 calls? My head is killing me, everytime i talk i have to hold down vomit, im just ready for 6:30 to be here so my 10 hour shift can be over!!

how it will be boring all day long until the owner stops by....

and then 12 customers come in at once?

i just thought that was a weird coincidence...

i was jacking in with a girl and had this little old chineese lady call in and want to know if she could block texting from certain numbers because she kept getting porn sent to her .... i dunno seemed funny at the time

This should be a fun one, I was having the long drawn out argument with one of my co-workers in another store that all customers lie to get better deals or to make themselves appear as the victim to get what it is they want for free discounted or whatever, ( you know the greedy little bastages are just looking for a hand out)

So what have been some of your best customer lies that you have caught them in bold faced red handed and stuttering stupid after you called them on it. 😎

anyone else's store just as slow as ours?

it'd be nice if corporate let us close the store around 2.... it's been dead all day long and i'm about ready to fall asleep on my desk!

i'm bored out of my mind and irritated cuz my coworker is quoting incorrect prices for phones..... AGAIN.....



but i was curious - what is everyone's commission like, and do they work at a retailer or a corporate store?

i'm not a huge fan of mine - was wondering if anyone's was worse?

we have a minimum quota of either 20 new lines or 40 total lines

and a minimum of 65 accessories

and we have to hit minimum lines AND accessories to get commission.

i work at a VZW premium retailer....

WHY do people do this?

we usually do it as a courtesy but i really get tired of people who take advantage.

our wall is FULL of chargers of all shapes and sizes, and you're too cheap to buy a twenty dollar charger? if you're at the point where your phone is dead you seriously need to get your own charger.

we had one chick who left hers on the charger for three hours, would come in to reply to texts and calls, then leave to do more shopping.


another chick came in, plugged in her phone, then stayed there for 45 minutes making call after call after call. she was talking loudly, distracting my customers, and making it difficult for me to talk to my customers.

Anyone know anything about phones that emit less radiation than others? I had I guy that came in with tin foil on his head asking which phone produces the least radiation... I laughed at him and told him to leave but I now am wondering if there is a brand that makes phones with reduced amounts of super-hero making radioactive producing cellular phones.

I'm new to the forum but i just wanted to share my story....

I work in a kiosk in the center of a mall. I greeted a customer and she came over. we began to talk about plans and what not when this nasty smell came up from out of no where. IT MADE MY EYES WATER! I tried to ignore it but she stopped talking and asked me if i S*** my pants! I can't believe she would fart and blame it on me! Has anyone else ever had this happen?

I just had a customer with an unbranded unlocked Moto Razr V3/w edge come in.

She put changed the phone lock code and the security code on the phone, and forgot both, so her phone is now locked out and nothing can be done as far as I know.

Does anyone know of anyway to unlock a phone in this situation? I know some phones have a master unlock code regardless of what the customer sets their phone and security codes to.

How about people that say they dont know their own phone number and ask if I can pull up the account with their last name. If you dont know your own phone number get rid of your phone. I had a customer this morning that said "With all the technology in the world you are telling me you cant pull up the account using my last name?" I says back "Mam, I did not create the system. With all the technology on your blackberry youre telling me you couldnt have stored your own number?" (Knowing that the number is programmed in there I just wanted to be an asshole.) She suddenly remembered her number. haha beotch

Customer comes in with a broken phone. He wants to upgrade. Has no picture ID. He said it would be a 250 mile trip, 500 round trip to get go and get his picture ID.

I told him that I am unable to upgrade him without proof of identity.

He said he would just cancel his account then. I called customer service and gave him our phone to use.

He told Customer Service he wanted to cancel his service with my store and he would just do business with a different AT&T since we would not help him without a picture ID.

That's right, he wanted to cancel his service (which he had begun in Jan of this year) with my store and he would just do business with a different store.

A man comes in with a broken Cingular branded phone. His contract is up in April. I told him I could get him into a new phone today, all he would have to do is renew his contract.

He said, "No, I'm cancelling when my contract is up in April."

I let him know the only options I can offer him were to buy a phone at retail price, or sign a new two year contract for the reduced price.

"Then I don't have to pay my bill, right?"

"I don't understand, sir."

"My phone quit working, so I will quit paying."

I went into imaginary conversation mode...

"Absolutely, whenever anyone wants out of their contract they just have to break their phone. It instantly absolves them of any prior commitments."
