working by myself.... why do i ALWAYS get the weird customers????

first thing this morning.... i'm walking into my store with my bagel and drink in my hand, juggling the keys... it is FIFTEEN MINUTES before i open.

this guy comes up and goes, "oh, good, i caught you before you went in. i have a question!"

W T F.......

i am NOT in the STORE yet..... so LEAVE me alone i want to enjoy my bagel in PEACE. by the time i got away from him and went inside, my bagel was COLD. auugghhh!!!! ๐Ÿคจ

and i also just now had a lady in here.... she goes, "do you have any of these batteries in stock?"

she holds up a lime green battery that i instantly recognize as belonging to a LANDLINE phone. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

*shakes head*

"no, ma'am, we don't, try best buy or something..."

this is funny

I work for vz plus
2 guys come in, one is mad that he has no fios internet and wants help to get it restored.
my associate happens to help him out.
guys i all mad and when my asociate says that he has to call in to get it fixed, he started getting louder. during the ensuing temper tantrum he claims (no ***en lie) "i can't play world of warcraft"
i wanted to laugh my butt off.
but here is waht makes it funnier he is cut off because it was his fault that he caled to cancled to put service in his roommates name, but the "new" service won't be on till jan 26th
and the main reason he is cut of is also for non payment of his bill.
now his roommate is calm during all this and seems to understand how procedure is for this stuff but the mai...

Worst Paperwork Mistake EVER

So, I work for a VZW retailer and today I had to deal with the biggest paperwork mistake I have ever seen in my 6+ months there. This simple mistake made by a co-worker led to a AM call, then a DM call for an override code. This could have all been avoided with ONE click in a different place. Here's how it started:

My co-worker was selling a blackberry storm to a customer on an annual upgrade. As you retailer's know, this means that you already make very little GP doing this, and are not to discount the phone WHAT SO EVER. The phone is bumped up in price just to make it barely above positive GP.

My Co-worker is doing fine on his sale (3 accessories, data (of course, its a BB), the works) so we think that he is going to make a decent am...

What is the deal with this website? I deal with more issues from people getting "Deals" from here than anything. Are these refurbished phones or what? I just had a lady that got a Moto Krave for FREE!!! Thought I would vent...

Is it just me...

Or are the malls overly dead since the holidays ended? like more then usual. I just became the only t-mobile dealer in my mall, and i barely haveonly have like 12 phones out for the month so far. In comparison to what I normally have at this point in the month, that's pretty sad. I don't know if it's me or my mall at this point.

it stays on the d*mn phone!

ok so just sold a leather case to a customer, the kind that stay on the phone - fit onto it therefore no need to take it off. i'm showing it to her and physically put it on the phone to show her how there is no need to take it off b/c she can still use it with the case on. so i'm ringing out the sale and the lady takes it off and then asks ok how do i put it back on so i put it back on for her and explain that she wont need to take it off to answer it again and shes like o ok and then 2 seconds later her husband walks in with it off and is asking me how to put it on and how to take it off to answer. so i put it back on the right way and explain the same thing to him. i swear do i need to spell it out.

DID I STUTTER?

Disgruntled Dumb Customer = DDC
ME = Moi!

DDC: *Walks into store oozing short man syndrome*
ME: Hello sir, how can I help you today?
DDC: You work here?
ME: Most certainly.
DDC: I was told by customer service to come in here to get the length of rings changed before it goes to voicemail.
ME: I'm sorry, but customer service is wrong, that service can only be changed by tech support representatives.
DDC: Can't it be done from the phone?
ME: *Repeats again, nicely* I'm sorry, tech support is the only part of customer service that can change that feature.
DDC: *STORMS OUT OF STORE DISGRUNTLED AND PROBABLY STILL WANTING TO ASK ME THE SAME QUESTION ABOUT 6 TIMES! RAWR.*

Not only that, the guy looked at me like I was a fre...

stupidity at its worst (best?)

this woman comes in today. she was on surewest plan before verizon bought them, so she's on that local unlimited plan for $44.99 that was just available to surewest changeovers.

she shows me this disgustingly dirty moto 323i ๐Ÿ‘€ . asks if she can upgrade.

i pull up her account, and she's eligible. ๐Ÿ˜

i talk her into the env2, tell her that it's $149.99 in store then a $50.00 mail in rebate, as opposed to the other two phones we were looking at (the w755 that i quoted her $129.99 in store and the 8350 or something that i also quoted the in store price with rebate.)

so i process the upgrade. i talk her into unblocking texting and putting a $10 text pack on there, as well as putting the free month of vcast and vznav. also ta...

This is just wrong

At one of our other locations a lady came in with a broken phone. Obviously out of warranty but she had insurance. No upgrade available, of course she wanted a phone for free because she had insurance ๐Ÿ™„ . anyway, my co-worker lets her have a loaner phone ( OLD OLD NOKIA BAR PHONE) until her new phone comes in the mail. She comes in complaining to me at a different store and says "I've been a loyal customer for this long, and THAT (puts loaner phone on desk) is what she gave me?!! Surely she has something better than THAT!"

who the f*** do you think you are? My rep even sat on the phone with the insurance dept and got this lady's claim filed.

I just wanted to say, "SURELY you have something better to do with your time than going ...

Crazy Caller Lady

Ok get this I work in a call center as a CSR and theres been this lady that keeps calling in before xmas and she still wont quit calling and she will not talk to women only guys and she doesn't talk much/good English. And one time when we got our manager on the phone she was saying stuff like "my body is a gift to you ๐Ÿ˜ฒ " and asking him if he would like to take a shower with her and she sounded older. Were not able to release the call either. Anyways she calls in like 3-4 times a night. She doesn't have an account with us or nothing... Its kinda fun cuz they put the call on the loud speaker so we can all hear it...

So has anyone else had this kinda happen to them?

A customer that I don't want. (ranty rant)

Before Christmas, I had a customer who came in and wanted a Blackberry Pearl. Fair enough.
However, he did not have the money to buy the phone with the data plan at the time.
He decided that he would buy a penny phone, and exchange it for the pearl within his 30 day guarantee period.

Fine.

That gets taken care of, and he asks me to transfer his phone book and make sure to transfer his pictures and ringtones because they are all VERY important to him and he is too busy to take care of it himself.
This is still fine, we do this for all of our customers. For some reason, the cellbrite didn't function properly and it wouldn't allow me to transfer his contacts. So, I go in to do it manually and he has... guess how many?

THREE.

thre...
