Last Minute Custy

My store closes at 8pm. Last night I was in the store a little past 8 cleaning up and doing the end of night stuff becasue I had a last minute phone sale. So the doors are locked, open sign off and I am in the back counting money when...

BANG, BANG, BANG on my front window.

I come out of the back and a woman is there waving at me. Because I am a nice guy I went to the door to see what she needed.

" My son is going away and I have been in the hospital all week with my mother and I need to get his replacement phone activated."

I am thinking ok this will take 2 min so I say "Ok come on in I'll take care of it"

Her response " Great I'll be back in 10 minutes with the phone"

Me " NO WAY - If you had it on you I could do it but...

why do policies and fees even exsist if a cst can whine and get past them any ways!

this is what we call a get together for our team, with manager involved to talk about changed policies and things we might have to improve on.

we were told that we should not "TELL THE CUSTOMERS" that a credit cannot be applied or cannot and will not ever be applied becuase the fact is that sooner or later this cst will receive the credit if he or she escalates that call as high as possible. isnt this rediculous! why make policies if some person can call in and be rude and irate about a charge and escalate the call and he will end up recieving the credit even tho it is valid charges.

just becuase corperate does not want to deal with it! why not remove all fees and policies! and this is not only for fee's like activatio...

I had a guy walk upto my counter today and say...
"I know you guys are Company A. I have Company C, can I pay my bill here?"


Come on people, how low does the average IQ in this world need to be? I think mine lowered a good 10 points just by listening to him.

I'm not a magician ...

Ok guy just walks in and wanted to know if I could help him with his phone. I said sure, what seems to be your problem. He proceeded to tell me that he just came from the store down the road (the only ASC in town and he knows it). He says the girl down the road had to order a replacement phone and said there was no way she could retrieve his information on his phone. He wanted me to do it for him since she "refused" to do it. I plug it up to the cellebrite and it won't turn on. He said thats right it died and doesn't work any more. Of course the follows the general discussion about GSM/IDEN/CDMA devices how contacts and etc. Then, he still insists that I can do it and gets pissed because he claims to be discriminated against and that we are ...

ugh

is anybody else out there glad that the "remerchandising" for att is FINALLY DONE?? we didn't get in half the stuff we needed...the paper said put this sign here...but wait...we didn't even get that sign. we stayed 2 hours late saturday trying to get everything fixed and halfway decent looking...which cut into my saturday night...which didn't make me a happy camper 🙄

It's always the women

so a lady comes into my store throws 3 phones on my counter and says i need you to take the sims card out of this crappy phone i bought here and put my info into the other one..

first of all its verizon, second it was purchased 5/12/09..

She brought a signed copy of the contract where i circled for her the 30 day guarantee and also where she signed..

needless to say she storms off and slams her cart into my kiosk on the way out..(i work in a warehouse)

is it just me or is it always the women who freak out like this????

As I close... (a reflection)

As i start getting ready for closing i reflect over all the people i've "helped" today.. some considerate and patient, others angry and oblivious..
No matter how crazy the customer i consider myself lucky for 3 reasons.

1) I don't live in Alabama
2) My fridge is stocked full of assorted booze
3) Tomorrow is my day off...

seriously i hope all the idiotic customers know there are driving me to alcoholism..

i hate it when customers think im going to try to sell them something!

i just got a call where i credited this ladies account soo much becuase of an error and part of it was becuase of overage and she added a rate plan so i credited half of the overage charges. i did so much for this lady when i didnt have to! and when im saying im closing line and offered an e-mail of what we did today she is constantly saying no bye, no bye NO BYE! why cant some customers just be nice for once and appreciate what we do for them, and give us some time to get a perfect score on a monitor? is that to much to ask>??? when we can be a$$'$ and go stricktly by policy!! and not credit anything at all! it makes me really really mad. 👿

C: I wunna go frum myfaces 1k minutes (59.99)and 300 text (4.99) to myfaces 600 minutes (49.99) and add unlimmet tests (14.99). How much dat make make my bill be?

M: Well....It'll be virtually the same price.

C: You dun unnastand...i wuna go frum a thousan minnuts to da six hunna minutes and add unlimmet tests...that should make it cheaper.

M: *Pulls out sheet of paper and pencil to show costs, Proceeds to do math*

C: Dats some buuhhhshiiissshhhhh...It posta be cheaper.

M: Nope...

C: Dats a rip off...immuh just cansul..

M: Won't hurt my feelings.

Came in a month ago... asked about phones looked at them I told her all about them and kept going trying to get her to buy. She was or is dead set on a windows mobile 6.1 phone.. I say ok, so I look up her account, she has over a year left. I say sorry, it's going to be retail price for you. She's nice and says it's ok I'll just wait.

Two weeks ago my manager gets mad at me because a lady came in saying that I told the lady she was up and could come in and get one.... I say no... I remember her because she was dead set on 6.1 and I said retail price...
So... today the lady comes in and tells me she is up... I roll my eyes and say ok, I look it up and she still has a year left. Sorry lady still a year. She tells me that a lady that works ...

Will I Ever See It All?

A lady walked up wanting for me to run her credit, she know the plan that shee wanted and the phone. Easy Activation. Right?

Not even. Her credit app was rejected, so she went to get her friend, so she could sign the contract for her.

They walk away from the kiosk mid credit check and come back 20min later with an XBOX 360 for her 5 year old.

Her credit check was also rejected. They both seemed pretty raggedy. Oh well.

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE HOOD.

Buzzirk Wireless Scam or Fact?

OK, I've been browsing the net and I found this "New Carrier" that is supposed to start services on July 1st 2009.
The company is called Buzzirk (Wireless/Mobile) and it's supposed to be a Broadband VoIp Mobile company offering an unbelievable array of services (I really believe this is a scam) Here is a part of the text I found on one of many (more than 100) websites announcing this new carrier:

"Get ready mobile phone users, the mobile phone industry is getting ready to be turned upside down. Launching July 1st there will be a brand new sheriff in town, and we here at Buzzirk Mobile and Zero1 need qualified representatives to help us with our launch! Get prepared for the masses and huge profits. Cell phone services are going out the do...

Wal-Mart

This might be a duh answer, but i'm asking anyways. Why is Wal-Mart so much cheaper on phones?? They don't require the customer to add any more features or do anything different. I'm loosing sales left and right because their LG enV touch is $40 and mine is $150. I just don't get it.

What a star card is? just got this call where this lady wants to pay with a star card. i asked her what logo the card has and she said star. then explained it like : "you know debit cards have logos, visa, master, amex, mine is a star". i just told her i cant accept that as a valid form of payment. she got all pissed off and hanged up. 😁

the thing is, if you wear something that reveals more than the average skirt/shorts/shirt, i'm going to look. It's not like you can't look..because if you didn't want people to look then why wear it?

to the customer who yelled at me for looking...i'm not sorry. they were nice.

I just changed my schedule from mon/wed/fri, 1PM to 10 PM to mon-fri 6AM to 1PM... omg... this sucks!
