Motorola RAZR V3m

To transfer music from your computer in MP3 format to the phone, do you have to purchase the USB cable and accompanying software from Verizon? What other, cheaper, way is there to get my music collection on my phone? Thanks.

music (transfered by wm 10, converted from mp3-wma) sound poor--think scratches on a vinyl or cd. could the memory card be the problem( scratched, etc?) or is it the conversion, which should take away some quality (but not like this)? (note--some songs sound better than others, if that helps)

I bought the phone for $149.00 less a $50 mail in rebate. It is now $69.00, just a week later. Will Verizon give me a credit? If I return the phone, can I then buy it again at the lower price?

I just bought a V3M and I was sending myself some MIDI files to my phone via e-mail (mymobilenumber@vzwpix.com) to be used as ringtones. Where does it save the files? I can't figure it out for the life of me. The alarming thing is that I read the message details and it says the message is only 1KB large, so I am thinking it deletes the attachment for some reason. Thanks!

Will Motorola keep up iwth LG and release this phone with stereo blutooth capability so we can use the moto-stereo bluetooth to listen to MP3s? The 8300 will have it i hope my motorola company will keep it up and get their game on with LG.

I have the v3c, and am fairly happy with it - it does the trick. Im interested in the v3m since I already have a transflash card, card reader, plus I just like having the latest...but why would they come out with the same color (dark gray?). I mean atleast they are coming out with the silver, and the pink but if I were them, if you are going to make the same phone but with upgraded features - they should have left the v3c gray, and came out with black, silver and pink for the v3m...then atleast its slightly distinguishable.

Im glad they are coming out with silver though. I will probably get one of those. I am upset however that verizon didnt decide to jump on this opportunity and come out with a black razr - I feel like its a no brain...

does any know if this phone has wireless mode off option?

Anyone else notice that Verizon is showing a RAZR as the V3M that has a black edge around the keypad and screen. The pictures are of the CDMA RAZR too since you can see that there is no center button. Is this my wishful thinking or is there a chance we're getting the black RAZR?!

I was thinking of getting this phone, and I was just wondering if the verizon version of the phone has a mp3 player? I think that the website says that is does not. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Then new silver color was on the vzw website yesterday but now its not there anymore. The main verizon page still shows the fathers day special with a black interior phone. Anyone know anything about this?

Here is my first impression of the phone, finally got mine fedex this morning:


This is the greatest phone I have EVER owned. It blows the samsung a950 OUT OF THE WATER for music. The sound is much higher fidelity, at lowest vol it's much quieter, and at top vol I get much more sound power out of it (without any distortion) than I ever got from my 950. The music interface is FASTER than on the samsung. I always had lag on it and I have ZERO on this phone. IT COMES WITH the motorola OEM tones you may be accustomed to as a motorola user. None of the CRAP tones the samsung came with. PERFECT clarity in the earpiece and speakerphone.

i have several friends who have the V3C and each complains that when the phone is in their pocets or purses, the side buttons tend to get pressed and the phone ringer changes to OFF or Vibrate and they never hear it due to this...

Does this happen as much with the V3M?

For those of you that have this phone, I would love to hear your thoughts. What do you think - pros? cons?
Would you recommend this phone to someone and why???

I got the phone and I am trying to play my own personal music on the phone, I did not get a music kit, becasue the salesman told me that it was not necessary, does anyone else know how play the music via the microSD, any input or help would be appreciated.

When will the V3M be in retail stores?

Okay... so I had a v3c and took it back because I was upset that I couldn't transfer pictures/vids from the camera to my computer without hacking the phone. With this one having support for a memory card, does this solve my problem?

Can anyone who has a v3m tell me if you can take pictures or video with the phone and save it to the memory card and then read that with your PC card reader?

I was able to get some mp3's converted to wma's and onto my razor v3. However, I can't figure out how to assign them as ring tones. Has anyone figured this out yet? thanks

I'm a Mac guy.

So, converting my thousands of MP3 files to WMA using WMP10 will be difficult.

I know some phones (LG LX8300) allow one to turn on the MP3 player, even though it is a Verizon phone.

Does the Razr v3m allow this, or am I up a creek if I want to play MP3s on it?

Does anyone know of a Mac compatible program to convert MP3 to WMA?
