I use my razr v3m mostly for texting. Is there anyway I could have a song or something play when I receive a text? Like, basically make a ring tone for what I would normally use as a ringtone, then just have that play whenever I get a text? Instead of the little bling thing?
Finally figured out how to get ring tones on to my Razr with the 24.1_01.19.07 SW 😳 . Follow the guide here - http://aznuwee.googlepages.com/. I had one problem with using the P2kCommander version listed on the site with my Vista machine. So I went to http://linux.softpedia.com/progDownload/P2kCo mmander-Download-32586.html and got the 4.9.0 version and it worked like a charm 😁 . I also used Audacity to cut an MP3 to about 15 seconds and used it as my new ringtone. P2kCommander is a little tough to work with in that it requires you to "refresh" the file you are looking at when you upload files. But it only took a couple of minutes to figure it out. I'm assuming this would work for uploading wallpaper as well but I haven't tried it.
Well i am on my 2nd razr, this time a v3m. my last one (v3c) started sounding garbled when ringing and when my alarm clock sounded. Then it slowly lost all sound output and i couldn't even hear it ring anymore. My new one is starting to do the same. I dont use the speaker phone but i rely on the alarm clock and a loud ringer due to my loud work surroundings. Is the moto speaker just not up to par? seems like its blowing out?
Hello group. I figured I should ask a group of V3M users. We have two of them, and both of them are constantly popping the battery cover off. What it appears to be doing is, when you open the phone, the raised area where the camera is in fits neatly into the button area for the back and the slightest pressure against your ear will pop the dang thing off. If anyone else has had this happen please let me know how you fixed it. Ours are the red and the gray one..
well, last night I dropped my phone in a muddy puddle and didn't realize it. It had been completely submerged in water for at least 5 minutes before I found it. It was broken for the entire day yesterday, and now this morning it is back to 100% working order, except for one thing. The up direction on the volume rocker key dose not respond to any presses, and its really irritating because I use the phone as my mp3 player alot. Dose anyone know how I can fix this in anyway? I can't take my phone back to the store because due to water damage the warranty is void.

I suspect that I know the answer to this question but I am asking as a last resort....is there ANY way to get rid of the Verizon Wireless banner on the front and inside display?
I have gone to the store and asked and they have told me that there isn't a way...all the other phones have the option of removing the ERI banner, but I can't find how to do it on this phone...
I am hoping that someone has a way to "backdoor" into the phone to remove the banner...
Love the phone otherwise, oh-one more thing, I was advised of something to be careful with this phone in regards to the flip... be careful when opening the flip to NOT flip it hard because of the "ribbon" that is in the hinge has a tendency to rip and break (and it's NOT... (continues)
I have had a v3 for almost two years now and just got a new v3 because my last one was crap and I noticed that there are quite a few differences in the firmware from what I used to have. One of the things I noticed was that I can't seem to make my own ring tones anymore. I used to be able to make a ring tone, then change it to .mid and email to my phone and then I could save it and it became a ring tone that I could use. I don't seem to be able to do that with the newest firmware, I can still email the sound to my phone but it just saves under my sounds and cannot be moved into ring tones. Does anyone know how to fix this problem and be able to send homemade ring tones to my v3? Thanks for your help!
Does anyone know of a setting on this or any phone that would cause the keypad to be completely non responsive while you're on a call (i.e. can dial a phone number no problem but can't press 1 for english)?
I have a Razr v3m (Verizon) and like everyone knows, it's often sluggish, i.e. sometimes it takes a second or two to perform a UI action, just opening messages, or if I hit the camera button by mistake, it takes a couple seconds for the cancel button to take effect, etc.
So my question is: is there any way to speed this up? Any way at all (short of using a different phone)? I'm willing to add RAM, hack it, whatever. I'm not all that cell phone-savvy so I'm sorry if those are stupid suggestions. I just like the Razr's design but don't understand why it's so slow. My friend has a much cheaper, seemingly crappier, Verizon phone and the UI is perfectly snappy.
I have seen several discussions on here about the max memory for the SD card but didn't really see a complete answer. Motorola says 1gb max on this site, users on this site have said 1 or 2gb, and the Verizon store said 4gb.... I got my phone in July 2007.. Anybody know the real correct answer.. I want to buy a card but I want to make sure I get one so I can utilize the max amount of memory.....
I received a replacement phone from a third party source. This phone's home screen displays "Murrays Phone" above the wallpaper image where normally "Verizon Wireless" is. I brought it to my local Verizon Service Center and where a tech put it on the computer and said it could not be changed.
