Motorola RAZR V3m

well, last night I dropped my phone in a muddy puddle and didn't realize it. It had been completely submerged in water for at least 5 minutes before I found it. It was broken for the entire day yesterday, and now this morning it is back to 100% working order, except for one thing. The up direction on the volume rocker key dose not respond to any presses, and its really irritating because I use the phone as my mp3 player alot. Dose anyone know how I can fix this in anyway? I can't take my phone back to the store because due to water damage the warranty is void.
