Motorola RAZR V3m

I have heard that the front screen can't be customized. I was wondering if it cannot be changed at all or if the wallpaper on the outside screen is the same as the wallpaper you have set on the inside screen.

I just got the v3m and when I try to sync it with windows media player 10, the player shows that it connected for about a couple of seconds and then says there is no device connected to the computer. at the same time, the phone says connect failure. is there anything i can do, or should i return the music package?

I don't like announcing to the world each time I turn on (or off) my phone. How can one stop the music?

Ok, so since my card wouldn't show any of the ringtones I had when I placed it in the V3m, I just popped the card in my e815 and sent all the ringtones via text message. They were now on my V3m, but I didn't want them sitting there using up phone memory if I'm not using them right now, so I moved them to the card. Big mistake. I can see the files and play them, and even move them back to the phone's memory. But once they have hit the card, it's like they are corrupt or something. You no longer have the options to set as ringtone or set as ringer id, even after you move them BACK to the phone and off the card. It will only give 2 options, rename or move. WTF??? I'm assuming this is yet another thing that verizon did to the phone and ther...

Hi everyone, this is probably a really silly question, but how exactly do I charge my phone using my computer? Do I need to buy a separate USB cord to do this? I'm not entirely sure how to go about this, so any help is appreciated in advance!

If someone has been able to connect their V3M using Verizon software, please tell us how you did it. I have not seen anyone tell me they have successfully used this phone to get music off of their computer using a USB. I am beginning to think it is time to ask Verizon for compensation.

my girlfriend just bought the pink v3m and i was jsut wondering what her BT capabilities are. is it just to support a headset?

and theres an option in tool to sync. does that actually sync with the computer (drag n drop music, pictures)

I spoke with a rep today about the Razr. Currently, I have the LG 9800. I was considering the razr b/c my early upgrade date is coming up soon. The rep looked into the system and told me to wait b/c there are other colors, including the silver and pink, that will be coming out soon. She mentioned that she saw something about a Special Edition purple Razr that may be out toward the end of the year. She said only marketing would know the exact details. So, keep an eye out you Razr people!!!! I just may have to get one myself if the LG 9900 doesn't come out first!! 😉

This is a random question about the Razor V3m. I got the phone about two days ago and I was playing around with it today when I noticed something. When I fliped open the phone and just put it up to my ear (as if you were making a real phone call) I noticed that I heard a high pitched tone. It must have been the screen because when I pushed the screen back just a little bit the tone got louder. Does anyone else experience this?

I currently own a V3c. I want to get the V3m. To do that should I just go to my local store and tell them I have a battery problem and maybe they will switch it out for a silver v3m? Will that work?? Any suggestions?? Thanks

I know others have mentioned the answer to this before but no one has solidified it for sure. Does the software or menu run slow on this phone like the V3C or is it normal like all other phones?

Folks, I've read the manual but have not had any luck with being able to change or see any difference when trying to change my display themes. Is there a hidden trick to this I'm missing? I just got the phone today and have already read the entire manual. So far I like the phone, although any new phone takes time to adjust to. I've already DL'd some ringtones but haven't played too much as of yet. Please let me know if there is a way to change the display themes/something I missed. Also, I was told that there is a way to set the phone to ring/vibe, but I haven't figured it out, and according to the manual there seems to be no setting for it.

i saw the v3m and it looks EXACTLY like the v3c.

i compared both side by side and did not see a difference. unless the card gues underneith the battery like a SIM card, there is no other place to put it. can someone fill me in on this please?

I just got this phone. When I am talking to someone, I can hear myself and it sounds like I am talking in a tin can. The person that I am speaking with sounds okay. This is so annoying. Is this inherent in this phone or is something wrong with mine?

I currently have the A930 but am considering exchanging it for the new V3m. I'm wondering if the additional cost of the V3m is worth it. I like almost everything about A930 but the thinness (carry my phone in my pocket) and the ability to use mobile phone tools of the RAZR really does appeal to me. I do wish the CDMA RAZRs had better screens though. The screen on the A930 is very good. Just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks.

I was reading that there are a few phones that verizon allow you to use for there wireless broadband.

I'm currently getting a new laptop, and apparently they don't come with pcmcia any more, only 'express card'. so until they come out with a card that will work with my laptop, i though i might try to use a Razr V3m as the celular broadband link.

I know that you will need the additional unlimited broadband package (~$50 a month)... but i'm not sure if you can use the USB, or need another cable. Also, how is the speed vs a dedicated broadband card?

Hello everyone.

I got my V3m today but I shipped it back right away. The first time I did after I opened and it was connect it to my laptop with a usb cable. With my VZAccess Manager software, I was able to connect to the VZW network but got the "Access denied". I called customer service and I was disappointed when the representative told me that the RAZR is a Broadband capable and that in order to tether my laptop to it, I must subscribe to the unlimited data plan which is $59.99. There is no other way to get around that. I have to have the capability to tether my laptop to my phone in case I have to vpn to my servers at work.

Well, that was my close encounter with the V3m.

Hello. Can anyone out there with the V3m confirm that do DUN with your V3m to your ISP using either a cable or bluetooth? VZW wants a $59.99 data plan in order to tether a laptop to a broadband capable phone, which the V3m is.
