Display themes V3M
Folks, I've read the manual but have not had any luck with being able to change or see any difference when trying to change my display themes. Is there a hidden trick to this I'm missing? I just got the phone today and have already read the entire manual. So far I like the phone, although any new phone takes time to adjust to. I've already DL'd some ringtones but haven't played too much as of yet. Please let me know if there is a way to change the display themes/something I missed. Also, I was told that there is a way to set the phone to ring/vibe, but I haven't figured it out, and according to the manual there seems to be no setting for it.

I have had the phone for about a week now and I was saddened to find out that you can not change the display themes (with the verizon UI). So I flashed my firmware to Alltels and finally unleashed the features the phone was built with. I'll be writing up a review in the next few days

Great. I'll look for your write up. Unbelievable the little kinds of features that Verizon locked up on this phone. I could see them doing it for some things that might require us to pay to use because we all know how money hungry they all are. But to lock up simple features like this is completely ridiculous. Thanks for your reply.

thats exactly how I feel. Its one thing to not be able to get free ringtones and stuff but why is vibe/ring function taken away??? Also, why a seperate status bar for things like vibrate, etc.... picky to some but not to me

Yeah the great thing about flashing to Alltel is that you get rid of the annoying blue alarm band across the bottom and the vib/ring function is restored 😁.

Please post the info on how to flash to Alltel soon. I'd love to be able to have a vib/ring setting and something other than this nasty red Verizon display on the outside. 😉

It's worth mentioning you will lose the use of the TF memory.
