Having more issues with ringtones and microSD card

Ok, so since my card wouldn't show any of the ringtones I had when I placed it in the V3m, I just popped the card in my e815 and sent all the ringtones via text message. They were now on my V3m, but I didn't want them sitting there using up phone memory if I'm not using them right now, so I moved them to the card. Big mistake. I can see the files and play them, and even move them back to the phone's memory. But once they have hit the card, it's like they are corrupt or something. You no longer have the options to set as ringtone or set as ringer id, even after you move them BACK to the phone and off the card. It will only give 2 options, rename or move. WTF??? That sucks. The longer I have this phone, the more I miss my v710. 😕 I don't know the first thing about hacking and modifying the phone though. Do you think a beginner can do this without screwing things up?

You know, I had this issue with the v710 too, but all I had to do was send the midi file in a text message, then pull it from my sent messages and save it to the phone. But, I can't even send the ringtone in a text anymore. Those bastards! 😡

All you have to do is email a .mid file to your phone (your#@vzwpix.com). Make sure you send it from a web based email client like yahoo or hotmail. Also make sure the file is less than 200kb. Once you receive your pix message, hit the right button to save the sound. Your sound is now on your phone and can be used as a ring tone. Hope this helps.

You can e-mail ringtones to your phone in .qcp format and set them as ringtones.
