Speaker Phone

Thinking about buying this phone to replace my LG V9800. Thouht I'd like the full keyboard, but it's turned out to be more of a pain than an advantage. Curious, does the V3m speaker phone work while the phone is closed?

MP3 conversion in WMP 10

I am having issues syncing with my V3m. I have to manually use the WMA conversion tool within WMP 10 and then set up a playlist for the newly created WMA files. Am I doing something wrong? What is the best way to do this? I tried reading through the posting, but an still confused. I thought that WMP 10 would auto convert them upon sync. Is there a seting I am missing? Thanks all!

MP3 work around

I'm a Mac guy and so don't use WMA files. As with a lot of phones, is there a setting within the 3Vm which allows the phone to play MP3s?

And if I put MP3s on the microSD card, will the phone play them?

Thanks for your help.

Media Player

I purchased the Samsung A950 less than 15 days ago. With that said, I went to the Verizon store today and exchanged my phone out for the Motorola V3M. I asked the rep. if I were able to still watch videos on my V3M like I was able to on the A950. He replied yes and I went about my business. I get home and inserted the mini SD card and nothing comes up but my mp3's which have been converted using WMP 😈 . Does this phone play videos to anyone's knowledge?

Thanks in advance

Paging "oldergeek"

I've been impressed with the audio quality of the E815 and the V3C. I was wondering if you would elaborate about your comments below from your review:

"Phone: Voice quality is high. People hear you clearly. You hear people clearly. It is better than the E815 and the V3C"

Why is the v3m "better"?

OEM Ring-tones

Do all phones with the new Verizon UI use the same selection of ring-tones or does each phone (v3m) have its respective tones installed by their manufacturer?

Latest Software Version for V3m

Just noticed on a post on Howard Forums that the software version someone was quoting was Software Version : NEWC2101_X_01.06.00R. I received the phone from Verizon 2 days ago with software version NEWC_01.05.0A. Is there an update already? If so, what does it include?

Help w/Mac compatibility

I am considering this phone, but know that Verizon is seriously in bed with Microsoft and I'm an Apple guy.

I have read that this phone plays only .wmv files and not MP3s or AAC.

Is this true is there a work around for this and other issues I may encounter? Can I save MP3s to a microSD card and have the phone recognize them for example?

Suggestions?

Well?

Would anybody who actually has this phone make some comments? I'm considering it for my wife, who doesn't care about playing music nor video on it. For her call quality, size, ease of use and reliability matter most.

Well?

V3m in Grey?

I noticed that on the Verizon website it specifically says - in grey. Is it safe to speculate that they will be releasing new colors for Verizon? Any inside info?

Vibrate?

How is the Vibrate strength on this model? I recall the GSM version being very weak. And can it Vibrate and Ring at the same time?

Got my V3M Today!

I ordered a V3C two weeks ago as part of the V710 settlement. I had waited as long as I could in hopes the V3M would be out in time.

I had followed the instructions on Howard Forums to enable OBEX (downgraded to VZW S/W version .02 then upgraded back to .04) and had customized the ring tones, wallpapers, etc.

Although I am not crazy about the VZW UI (I much prefer the Moto UI of the V710.), I did not dislike it enough to flash it to the Alltel version and dig into all of the SEEM edits required to make the phone functional on the VZW network.

I noticed the V3M was available yesterday, and I immediately made arrangements to return my V3C to stay within the 15 day trial period.

I was unable to order the V3M online because I had ex...

Any deals?

Do you think that they'll be coming out with any deals for this phone any time soon, like for Father's Day or something? Or do you think that they would've already set that up by now?
