Samsung SCH-A950

ok i have the A970 and theres only 3 options for the front lcd clock, digital,analog, or none!! now does the A950 have a option for you to minimize the front clock or is it exactly the same as the A970???????

Ok...ill admit, im preety dumb when it comes to cell phones and their features. I was wondering if someone out there could do me a huge favor and fill me in clearly on how to use the MP3 feature using the transflash card. And if poosible, from there turning them into ringtones, I have itunes if that makes a differnence. And at the risk of sounding dumber, what is the exact name of the card, that way i can get it at best buy without looking around for an hour, thanx a lot in advance.....

I keep my phone on a belt clip on my visor of my car. Can I answer a call and use speakerphone without opening the phone?

Does anyone know how to create new media folders... in place of or in addition to the Default Albums? And can you do it for mp3 - thereby sort of making playlists?

1. What do use for ringtones as far as file format can i make mps and transfer them to the phone memory from the transflash?

2. What is the video format, and are there any known program to convert from say mpg or avi to this format.

3, Wtf is the real resolution for the wallpapers? i tryed the listed resolution and they didnt fit properlly.

I want to change the Verizon On/Off animations, but naturally I want to have my specified video fill the screen.

I created the .3g2 video and moved it to my phone... but the phone says it is an unspecified format. The same video converted with the same program in standard 176x144 works fine (but it's just stuck in the middle of the screen, unlike the default video).

Is it possible to make a 176x220 3gpp2 video that this phone won't complain about?

Is there any easy way to put the phone numbers from your old phone to the new phone.Can you input phone numbers from Microsoft outlook onto the A950. 😢

Ive done a search and I'm currently on hold with Samsung's level 2 tech support, and its been 28 minutes so far 👿 but I think the news maybe what I'm not liking. So far, it seems as there is no way to enter new text into the dictionary of the T9 "word" mode. Level 1 tech support was useless.

I can't put in words that I use alot such as the sh word, or beer, or names of people. If this is the way this phone is, its going back to Verizon Wireless in favor of an LG. The LG you simply entered the word into the text message in the ABC mode, then hit T9 and it would add it to its databank. T9 is very important to me.

Ok, crazy question....I need a phone for professional use and I would much rather prefer a smaller phone but verizon seems to want to revert back to the days where the phones were so big and you had to carry a batter pack w/ you that i dont see me winning this battle! Now, i do like this phone mainly for the internal antenna and the fact that you can use the speaker phone w/ the clam shut but i cant repeat cant use this phone around my conservative work enviornment due to the fact verizon decided to make the god damn thing RED!!!! Does anyone know of a way i can change the color, i was goign to buy some nail polish and paint it but didnt think that would hold....any ideas (besides verizon actually coming out w/ a useable small professional...

Ok I did as directed and got the 30 second music bit e-mailed to my phone.....Got them and they play fine and dandy,,,,BUT!!!! When I applied it to the phone as the ringtone, all seemed fine until a call. The ringtone starts and goes for a whole 2 seconds then silent....Then call it again and it will go fore the duration, do it again 2 seconds....Anybody got an answer for this??? They are in the qcp format(whatever that is) 😕

I've been waiting weeks, anticipating a review from cnet on this phone and on the SCH-A970, too. What's the deal? Usually CNET is good about posting reviews and video of the phones on their site. I wonder if this is a bad sign for the phone? Or maybe CNET is biased against Samsung, I don't know. I wanted to compare their review of the Rokr to this phone, because an mp3 player is high on my phone *extras* wishlist. I've been spending a lot of time researching phones to get a new one next month and this one is in the top 3 for me. Anyone know where I can find reviews of the two phones to compare?

Do the front buttons light up at all??

is there a hole where you can put a keychain kind of thing through, I only see one hole on top of the phone? also can you listen to the mp3 with ear phones or the headset..? or do you have to buy another accesory?
