Creating new media folders

Does anyone know how to create new media folders... in place of or in addition to the Default Albums? And can you do it for mp3 - thereby sort of making playlists?

I haven't been able to figure it out yet. Thanks!

If you create a subfolder and put mp3 files in it, the phone does not see it or the songs it contains.

Yeah I know, it's really annoying. Does anyone know how to create subfolders on the phone? I don't care about mp3's as much as separating the images that I made and uploaded to use for wallpaper from the images that the camera takes.

You can't make additional folders. You only have the options that the phone allows.
