I think this phone is a great phone. I cant wait to this phone comes out. by the way, does anyone know when it is comming out. i do think the size of the phone is way tooooooooooooo big, but i will still get it. I love the features on this phone. Speakerphone,camra/video,Mp3 playback, and streaming multimedia. thats hot!!! however i do have some questions about this phone. Does this phone really not have ringer id, and are the play and pause buttons on the front of the phone for, i hope its so u can play your videos on the front of the phone. this site said the Audiovox CDM-9900 did not have ringer id and it does. so i hope this phone has ringer id. when ever this phone comes out i will get it. 🙂 😁

I have been awaiting the vx8000 just like every here for awhile now, but I just came across the lg g8000 on a website that sells it (http://www.no-air-time.com). It is a GSM phone so I figured it would only be a T-Mobile, Cingular, etc. phone, but when reading further I found out it runs on the Verizon netowork. Does anyone have any further information regarding the G8000? Was this phone ever released or will it? Also, can anyone give me a comparison on the 2 phones with advantages and disadvantages? Thanks for any help regarding this.

I know there was a rep that posted a video of the VX8000 earlier. Any other reps have test VX8000 in your replacement phone box. If so, post a video.

Why would they make this phone without Trimode??!!!

What is wrong with those idiots at LG??! The pack a phone with all the latest features and then leave out the Analog mode! Now I'm stuck with getting the "Kyocera Koi". Don't get me wrong, the Kyocera Koi looks like a great phone but if someone at LG had the brains to make VX 8000 a Trimode phone, I would have gotten the 8000 over the Koi without hesitation!

I saw this site recently and the phones were unbelievable. Lots of very expensive motorola phones like a 20th anniversary (i think) motorola startac with speakerphone. There were other very fancy phones with speaker cameras and very very small with very high price tags. Does anyone know what this site is?

The vx6000, vx7000, and vx6100 all came out about 7-8 months after the FCC approval date.
I hope this means that the vx8000 will be out by the end of this year.

Get the Kyocera Koi! I know it doesn't have all the features of the VX8000 but it has 95% of them. And it has analog! Listen, I like the VX8000 just as much as the next guy, but LG droped the ball on this phone by not including analog. Think about it, you buy a cell phone so you can use it as a "CELL PHONE"!

PS. IF VZW is fazing out analog in a few years (as one of you stated) then the VX8000 will be be ok. (However, it will be anciant and a better phone will be available.) Follow me...?

Just bought the phone. Does anyone have a 'hissing sound' when playing a ring tone, or when you have the phone on set to ring via a tone.

Does any one know if this will have something like a transflash card like the V710 has so tha tu can put on mp3s? If not how do u get mp3s on there. THanks

PhoneScoop used to say something about VX8K's 262K outter display; now it doesn't say anything. More than that, phoneArena says that VX8K has only 65K colors. I'm confused now.

My contract is up in NOV and i want to get a new phone. Should i wait till the LG 8000 comes out or get the LG 7000 now!

Saturday, I went to a VZW store and the VZW and I was talking to the VZW salesman. He told me that the LG VX8000 will be available next month. Is this true or not cause I thought it was not supposed to be released until the beginning of next year.

Does anyone know why LG doesn't do premium phones in trimode, or why they deprive versions like the 7000 of speakerphones? I live near Manhattan and still find that trimode phones work much better, and there are so many advantages I don't get why they put in gadgets and neglect basics.

One post here says he heard there may be a trimode option. Anyone know anything about it?

I know the LP1300 comes with stereo sound. Will the VX8000 also come out with stereo sound? The outside looks like it but the inside doesn't.

I've seen the 8000 and got to play with it for a few minutes so here's my take on the phone so far.

Pro's
-Can read text messages on the outside screen
-Crystal clear screens on the inside and the outside
-Same functioning screens as the 7k so if u're used to the 7k, then u won't have to learn another menu system

Con's
-Reception issues which will be worked out i'm sure
-Bigger size than the 7k (could be a pro depending on personal preference)

I haven't tested out the speakerphone, but I hope it's as loud as the 4500's. I forgot to test that while I had it in my hands. I'll try to check it out again when I get the chance. I know this is somewhat lame but it's a small peak into waht this new phone can do. E...
