LG VX-8000

I know, I'm not supposed to use this forum for VX7000 referrals but I did. I'm sorry for that; I just got so used to this specific forum that I automatically come in here. 😁
But anyway, has anyone else seen the black version of VX7000? I have, and I was quite surprised to find it since I haven't heard anything about it. 🙄
The color is really a mixture of grey & black to be exact.

Hello everybody! Esp. HELLO to those who claimed VX8000 to be out on November 15th, before Christmas, by the end of this year! All bull*hit! Jeez, what a great news! The phone will not be released until March, 2005 according to what verizon_rep11 says. To me, it sounds very possible. Remember V710 case?

Don't you, guys, think that the phone is planned for Christmas, 2005 2005 2005? Just kidding. Maybe not.

Hey! I read a couple of weeks ago that you said the LG 8000 would be out on the 15th of november. now you say the 15th of Feb. which is it.

hi! i'm brazilian and i'd like to kown if this phone works without the EV-DO system! because here in brazil, the technology used is CDMA and i'm not sure what would happen if i brought one of this here. thanks!

So anyone that has used the phone, or seen it in person. What can you compare the picture quality too? Is it like the 9900, or the v710? I know it's 1.3megapixel, but anyone who has a 710 knows that doesn't mean crap if it's so grainy. I got to play with the 8000 a couple months back but only for 2 seconds and didn't get to check out the cam quality. ☹️

Using a phone such as the VX-8000, how would you reject, or at least kill the ringer on, calls you do not want to answer without opening the phone?

Is there a "side key" or mute button on the side of LG flip phones?

😁 the phone is nice,but 😲 i don't know if the lg rep didn't know her stuff or what. i asked ?s about the memory 64mb or 256 , when it was coming out and she gave me the run around said January. the funniest thing was when i asked if when i held on to the play button on the front of the phone, would it play mp3 while it was closed. she gave me a look 😕 and said there isn't an mp3 player on the phone. i pressed the button, it said play tunes and i showed her and said what's this? she gave me that look again 😕 and said something different. i don't know if she was there just for show or what but i think she had no clue, or maybe the phone is over hyped?

Does web browsing from the phone use the Ev-DO technology or just the regular slow connection?

I guess I am trying to figure out if web browsing would be faster on a VX-8000 than a VX-6100.

I've heard from a few VZW reps that this phone will be released on Tuesday along with one other phone. I also show that VZW has an order for two new phones for that date, although it doesn't specify the type.

If I have the America's Choice plan and an LG VX-8000, will I be able to use the EV-DO to connect my laptop to the Internet on occasion without purchasing a data plan? I would only need to do so maybe once a month for up to an hour, so I do not need to waste money on the $80/month unlimited plan.

Basically, I just wanted to know if the VX-8000 could be used occasionally instead of plunking down $80./month and rarely using it.

One of the Associate Directors has the phone now. He walked past me I saw it up close. he was talking to someone so i couldn't ask to look at it.

I'm a regular U.S. citizen and have no connections & no info as far as cell phone industry is concerned, but I have a strong feeling that this phone will NOT come out by the very end of this year, UNFORTUNATELY! Quit razzing yourself! Take it EZ! Stop thinking about it for some time, and it will, eventually, show up on an unexpected day like a SURPRISE-SURPRISE! 😈

We just had a vendor expo @ VZW and I spoke with the LG Reps who confirmed this phone won't be released til January 🤭

OMG! What I just read in Glossary, has scared me away from Analog mode phones. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of such details about AMPS before. Glossary states the following (see under AMPS):

AMPS uses more battery power and emits more radiation than digital modes. Digital modes also have generally better sound quality than AMPS, and provide more features.

My main concern is higher radiation emition. Why would anyone use Analog mode just to make an important call whenever & wherever, "sacrificing" one's own health even if it's only a tinge of radiation? Think!

ANALOG SHOULD BE PROHIBITED (for the sake of OUR health); MORE TOWERS SHOULD BE BUILT INSTEAD (for perfect reception)!

Is this phone worth the wait or would the VX6100 be a better bet anyways?

I really need to know when the vx-8000 is coming out. If anyone finds out or knows the date or approximate period when it comes out let me know. 😳
