verizon vs any

Can anyone be honest enough to suggest the best carrier out there. Not only for the phones, but the clearness and consistancy of the call. I have Nextel and its terrible in the south jersey area. I drive alot for my job and would like to knw if bluetooth is a worthwhile investment. I heard that ATT and Cingular united. Will they now compare to verizon?

MEMORY UPDATE!!

I was just looking around...and I found out that the VX8000 has 256 MB for MP3s, etc...that is about 87 songs. http://www.mobile-review.com/forum2/showthrea d.php?t=13800...in this website shows phones from BEXCO ITU Asia 2004 in Pusan Korea. If you scroll down to about 1/2 way...you will see the VX8000, if you read the description carefully, it says 256 MB!!

VX8000 not supporting distinctive ring?

If you go to https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compare.php ?id%5B%5D=430&id%5B%5D=483&id%5B%5D=&id%5B%5D =&id%5B%5D=

it is a comparison between the VX7000 and the VX8000. While it seems LG has only added to the features of the VX7000, is it a mistake, or have they really taken away the option for distinctive ring? Thats a feature I use a lot on my phone now, I would really hate to see it go.

VX-8000 vs S710a

I am thinking of switching from verizon to t-mobile to get the Sony Ericsson S710a but I wanted to know if I should wait for the VX-8000 instead, the features look more impressive on the Sony.

Possible Bluetooth

2 LG Product Reps came into our store (NJ) a few weeks ago and said LG is going to try to add bluetooth capability to the VX8000 before releasing it. The expected release date they said was December/January. Of course I dont know how true any of this is, but coming from a LG rep, I would expect it to be quite possible.

Went for AudioVox 9900

Couldnt wait any longer. Sure the 9900 isnt as powerful as the 8000 but it was free after the $100/2year deal. Its a really nice phone and it didnt make much sense to wait for the 8000 and pay ~200 to ~300? after the $100 off...

What is so special about this phone?

Have heard that it is a good one but cant seem to find anything about it that makes it too much different from the Samsung MM-A700 from Sprint

will this have streaming video to other similar phones and that is the difference?

Thanks in advance to all responders

Memory

This question may have been asked, but I don't really want to thumb through eleven pages of text: anyone know how much memory is in this phone? Thanks.

Guys, don't be fooled! No VX8000 until Jan 2005!

I understand that all of you are waiting for VX8000 with baited breath. One of you said it'll be out by the end of September. Please, stop bull*hitting our ears. It will not! Remember what was going on with V710. Same *hit. Same crap. I was in VZW stores in NYC, Phoenix, LA; all of them say not earlier than December-January. Enjoy your VX7000. Be more patient, more optimistic! 😉

Verizon launches EV-DO on Monday

Press release from Nortel Networks:
http://www.nortelnetworks.com/corporate/news/newsrel ... »

Monday, Verizon launches BroadbandAccess network in 14 major metropolitan areas and 24 airports. BroadbandAccess powered in part by CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) 3G wireless equipment from Nortel Networks.

Does this get us closer to seeing the VX-8000? I hope so.

VZW, NYC and change of pace for this forum

I have a buddy I went to school with in VZW NYC, he is head of operations there. He completely agrees with the statement that the VX8000 will be introduced with the Nationwide launch of EV-DO. He also said that it will probably be during Christmas time, and the phone could very easily be introduced as a phone to be bought for the holiday season.

Here is the twist though, he said he heard from higher up than him that the phone with cost $399 with a $100 rebate on a 2-year plan, and only $50 rebate on a 1-year agreement. Views anyone? Anyone heard this also?

LG website

I don't want to bust anyone's bubble but LG's website listed the VX 7000 as "coming soon" for about a month before it actually hit the market, and the vx8k isn't even listed on the site yet.
