I was just looking around...and I found out that the VX8000 has 256 MB for MP3s, etc...that is about 87 songs. http://www.mobile-review.com/forum2/showthrea d.php?t=13800...in this website shows phones from BEXCO ITU Asia 2004 in Pusan Korea. If you scroll down to about 1/2 way...you will see the VX8000, if you read the description carefully, it says 256 MB!!

I think it might just have an expansion slot. Not to many devices come w/ 256 or even 1gb onboard, especially cell phones. look under the batter for the expansion slot. If it is under the batter that must mean the cards are not hot swappable...shady

Actually, I saw a video of this phone and it has a compartment underneath the battery. What do you mean when you say the card are "not hot swappable?" Thanks...

You're right killa. Sim cards are only for GSM phones. That is why why AT&T has 'em and Verizon doesn't....

This is true, but in that picture, it is impossible to distinguish if that is the CDMA of GSM version, because there is a GSM version of this phone. Either way, as far as the 1G/256MB is concerned, I wonder if that the specs for total capacity vs. available?

I don't know about the GSM Version...but in the picture it says "VX8000." LG doesn't make GSM phones starting with VX and that phone is for Verizon Wireless (CDMA) because in the picture, it shows the verizon wireless sign. Another thing it shows is VOD - that's high speed data for CDMA networks.

I compared this phone with the samsung A770 on this site and it said the the VX 8000 is not expandable but the samsung is. And if you go to phoneyworld.com and look up the phone it says the phone comes with 64 mb of memory.
