Look...if you want to get the Kyocera Koi, then get the Kyocera Koi. No point in name calling as in some of your previous responses. If you need analog in your area then by all means get a trimode phone. A lot of people live in areas where they get only digital so analog would be useless to them. I will agree, no matter how nice a phone is, if it doesn't pick up in your area, then it's useless. So, for anyone reading this, make sure you know what kind of service is available in the areas you go in before deciding.

By the way, I had to agree I like the Audiovox a little better than the Kyocera, but I have an Audiovox now so I'm kind of prejudice. Im looking forward to seeing how the Audiovox 8940. Audiovox said it should be out in ...

I like the choices my wife's Sprint Nokia 3588i gives us. It has three modes: Sprint, Automatic, and Analog. I like the fact that analog can be forced.

I got onto Verizon just recently using a borrowed LG TM-510 and it gives me three modes: Home, Automatic A, and Automatic B, but I don't have the option of forcing Analog mode. Oh, well, it still whoops the pants off of my former carrier, whose three letter name will remain unsopken, lest I have to puke.

I sure wish the VX-8000 were tri-mode!

I don't think that LG dropped the ball on this phone by leaving out analog. I think this phone was designed to appeal to the people that want 1xEV-DO technology. I doubt you'll a major push for this phne in markets witohout 1xEV-DO, for them the phone would be useless in analog markets.
