Audiovox CDM-9900

Folks,

Many people have posted regarding this. Verizon's greedy behavior does not allow direct download from phone to PC via the data cable.

Let us all call, write, e-mail to Verizon and complain about this. Perhaps someone there will be persuaded to listen...

Ok i need new wallpapers for my phone. I tryed downloading them from GET IT NOW, but i dont like what they got. Is there a way i can use my 1240x1240 pictures and resize them to be 240x320???

I set my phone to "loud beeps" for my text message alerts. According to the manual it should loud beep "every 2 minutes." It has only beeped once and I did not view the message! It's been 10 minutes and the only thing it continues to do is the red led is blinking. Could someone else try this to see if this is a model-wide problem...

I cant decide in which phone to get. The two best phones that verizon offers are the moto v265 and the audiovox 9900. Ive read great reviews for both phones. But woukd like to know if anyone had experience both of them. Anybody honest opinion will be greatly appreciated.

While listening to certain default Media gallery ringers, if you have the "Options" menu, go into options, and you can adjust Tuning up/down, or Tempo up/down.

Can't save the adjustments, but you can sure make them sound weird while previewing. As if they don't sound stupid enough already. 🙄

How dose it compaire to the 8900 ?

Is there a way that you can turn off the music it plays when you turn the phone on and off...any help would be appreciated!!!!

Hi. I have a signal in my house but I keep dropping calls and I am very frustrated. The signal is strong outside but weak inside. Can anyone recommend an external antenna or amplifier I could buy for the 9900? I don't want something permanent that has to be mounted on the roof. Other Verizon phones have this problem in my house as well.

Can't belive this. He has the guts to tell me how I should use my own phone!

Ok i sent a .gif file to my phone, when i get it, the pic doesnt move. Anyone know why???

when i go to recent calls/All Calls...the phone speaks what i dialed.Anyone know how i can mute that. I've looked through the manual and got no answer. Any input would be much appreciated.

Is there any way to have mobile web 2.0 on the 9900?

What's the backlighting on this phone like (white, blue, bright, dim)?
The softkeys don't seem to have any means of lighting or are they outlined?
Is the front display readable always or do you have to hit a key to get time & status?

From reading the negative user reviews, and this applies to all the cell phone reviews I've read...not just the 9900; I noticed that people (not everyone) are giving a low review because of features that aren't there...why even bother buying the phone knowing full well you're only going to complain about what's NOT there to begin with?? Ugh... 🙄 I don't mean to gripe...but am I the only one that finds this to be irksome?

has anyone seen this phone in any vzw store in chicagoland western suburbs?

Anyone have the audiovox data kit for the 9900? What are the advantages over the verizon phone tools?

and guess what?! not a single scratch...and it was a pretty hard drop too 😎 I was kinda scared that since it's encased in a plastic shell it wouldn't hold up well...but this morning I dropped it accidently...and picked it up...and voila...nothing happened. Gotta say, I'm VERY impressed. Hope it'll continue to hold up like this...not that I'm going to go drop it some more on purpose or anything 😉

I was wondering how you people were getting images off your phone.

Is there a free way? Like on the V710 (Transflash)?

I stopped by a VZW store and was so impressed with the screen on the 9900 that I'm considering getting it if there were a free way to get pics off the phone.
