Get It Now not working??

Okay, I've looked on Verizon's site and it says that Get It Now will even work while the phone is in Roam. When I'm at home, my phone is in Extended area with 1X on the screen and it can never connect. Anyone know what's up with this?

--------New Cingular/ AT&T Merger---------

I just bought a Audiovox 9900 phone I am happy with the phone. A few things I don't like feels too plastic. Hard to hear on the phone and Verizon Wireless... I like the coverage area, but most of the phones suck, and the minute plans suck. Now that Verizon is the #2 biggest wireless network in the US..... Should I switch to Cingular and get more minutes, such as roll over----- free in network calling At&t and Cingular.. Sounds really nice, any ideas. I have 12 days left on the 9900.

Battery Life

I'm on day 4 of the 9900 and have some concerns regarding battery life. With limited use (30 min talk, 45 min mobile web, no phone or video) each day, the phone needs to be charged every night. The battery indicator drops to one bar within a single day.

I realize that the 9900 has a lot of power consuming features, including the large bright screen. Its nice to have the mobile web and its near impossible to avoid a camera, but my primary interest is as a phone with a decent battery life - I'd give up the screen.

I'd be interested to hear owner's experience with the battery life on this phone, because if this is any indication of what is to be, its going to be returned.

Quick 9900 ?

How is the speakerphone on the 9900. Can anyone compare it to any other speakerphone phones?-like the v710.
How is the battery life of the standard one.
And last until I think of more, hows the phone reception. Has anyone had noticeable difference from their last phone. I know with the v710 I have now I actually get service under the tunnels on the subway in NYC..and I never had service that good before. Thanks 😁

group lists

How do you add a group listing to names in the phonebook? I see how to add a group, but it seems only to email addresses.

Next Generation??

Now that the 9900 is dead and buried, does anyone know if a newer one is coming out? If so, what is the model #, and would Verizon get this phone? 🙂

Funny you say that insomniac

I too am interested in getting the 9900. Iv'e had my 710 for almost 2 months now and I do love it, but theres only one problem...I dont use half of it. I have downloaded about 8 mp3 ringers, 1 game, and have kept it in absolute EXCELLENT condition. I also have 2 leather cases, one from motorola and one from Wireless solutions. Plus I have an extra battery. Also know that I do not have a bad phone-meaning the volume is loud, the screen doesn't freeze up, I have never had to pop the battery in order to clear the system, and the camera is just fine. I would think about a trade, but I think I would just rather sell the entire package for about $300.00 and then just go out and buy a 9900 at retail plus a case and maybe an extra battery for i...

MIssed Call Indicator

HELP! I know I've asked this before, but I can't get this annoying red LED to stop blinking. I DID check the manual before posting the first time, am not new to owning a cell phone, nor am I less than intelligent. I know how to check missed calls, delete them, etc. And still the light blinks. Is there some other reason for it to blink red other than a missed call? I find myself checking constantly for a new missed call and there isn't one. I'm ready to take this otherwise great phone back! I CAN'T TAKE THE CONSTANTLY BLINKING LIGHT!

My loaded v710 for your cdm9900

I havent been to pleased with my v710 for the main reason i dont use any of the features. I have the phone itself with the verizon branded leather swivel belt clip, silver stub antenna (from bluedayz everyone is loving it) and the 128mb flash card with SD reader.

Basically looking for a 9900 plus maybe a lil cash for the difference in the phones.

I dont use blue tooth i hardly use the flash card (except to watch full feature length movies at work) but im getting a laptop soon and that wont be necessary.

Anyway the phone is in pristine condition except for the normal things the v710 does to itself and you will be elligble for a BRAND new v710 on the 29th because they are doing a recall to trade them out due to the cameras tilt so yo...

Great Inexpensive Phone for Special Needs

Although these features may not be exclusive to this phone, the total combination of features makes this phone a perfect fit for a very unique situation.

My stepfather is 87 years old. He was raised in the deep south with virtually NO education, and never learned to read or write. He also speaks with a VERY strong southern accent, and not very clear. He also suffers from partial hearing loss and wears a hearing aid in one ear. Before getting this phone, he wouldn't use ANY phone unless someone else placed the call, because he can't read phone numbers. We tried pre-programmed buttons, but he wouldn't use them. He said they all looked the same to him.

I purchased an after-market headset with call button in the cord to use with this pho...

The phone is not avail for West markets.. but i found a way around it

Ok..
So if you go to the vzw website and type in a CA zip code, the phone doesn't appear. For the last week it showed up as'out of stock'. I was disappointed. I clicked on that button that says "change your zip code" and typed in a GA zip code (you can find that yourself). I re-logged back into my account online and BOOM! the phone appears ready for sale. I bought the phone.

I got a confirmation e-mail from the VZW south east market telling me the order is being processed and should arrive in 3-5 business days. A few hours later, I received an e-mail from the West Market saying they have processed the order and will it should be at my address in 2-3 days.

It's been a day now.. I'll let you know when I get it 🙂

LG 6100 vs Aud 9900 - some side by side observations

I just posted this on the 6100 forum so I thought I would cut and paste it over here as well. I just checked the 9900 reviews and see I'm no longer the only one posting a less than positive review of it. These aren't apples to apples phones. They both have different strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully this will help anyone looking find what suits their needs best.

---------------------------------------------

these are just my opinions, anyone is welcome to disagree. my wife and i got aud 9900's two weeks ago. after about a week i couldn't stand the single holed earpiece and how lining it up on my ear made a huge difference in earpiece volume. it appears others don't have the same issue, so i guess i'm oversensitive to it. the...
