i don't know if customers are playing dumb, or they are REALLY dumb.

i think we should add an IQ test everytime they add lines or upgrade phones.

Question for sales reps

I have a quick question for all the sales reps out there. I'm at a 3rd party indirect dealer and my boss is expecting between 50-75 calls to prior customers. Asking them to upgrade with us now that there eligible. I would normally have no problem with this but our customer base is not the large and I'm calling the same people every few days to the point where they know my name when they pick up. Am I wrong to think this is getting excessive? Also anyone looking for a sales Rep in WI?

it's always the shifts you're working by yourself that you get the crazy/annoying s**t.....


...like this lady who "needed to use our phone" for an emergency call...


..then she makes not one but three calls and ends up chatting for ten minutes. 😡

and as she leaves i notice she's wearing a coach scarf and carrying a coach purse....
maybe she should buy a PHONE. 😳

next time i might be mean and say that sorry, i'm not allowed to let anyone use our store phone and to try calling from the concierge desk so i can phonescoop and fight with my android phone in peace. 😈

Oh Wow

I'm considered difficult to creep out or scare.

The last call I got? Whoa, I spent yesterday reading ghost stories and reading really gross medical stuff and that didn't creep me out.

The call did.

Customer wanted to know if we could tell him how to broadcast live feed from one i1 to another using video so he could watch it, as supposedly he has a burglar problem.

When I asked for some further examples, giving some of my own "You mean kind of like a webcam or?", he goes.

"Well. it'd be like giving your mother a phone, turning the camera on and watching her around the house..." and then pausing, going. "Or just watching and recording while you're not there to see what's happening."

Brilliant idea Sprint! (not)

$10 premium data charge for all new or upgrading smartphones starting 1/3/11. That's gonna be popular and a real call driver. Can you hear the churn? We'll have to see how that goes, I guess.

Best option for SERO switch

I got the $30/500 minute SERO plan and want to get the new Evo Shift but the best that retentions could offer me is a $150 credit on top of the normal discount for a phone but I'd have to get a consumer plan.

Anyone know if there's better deals out there? I bought the Samsung Intercept for Virgin Mobile but didn't switch yet and would like to stay with Sprint but it's getting kinda hard.

With taxes and feed, I'd be paying about the same with VMs $40 plan as with my $30 SERO plan plus insurance.

If any of you guys and gals can help me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I was talking to for an ESN swap, suddenly said "oh my F-in gawd"!!! I asked and he said a lady came into buy something and had a long coat that was buttoned. But when she turned to leave the coat parted a bit and she was nude under it.


Any one ever had anything like that? I work in a call center so I only hear about it second hand.

It's so slow

I've taken 10 calls in the space of 2 hours... and they just changed the commission structure so that its pretty much impossible to make the max... 😡

AT&T Corp Store Rep

Apparently he has a customer in the store with him right now who lost her job due to a car accident and she walked in to the store on crutches... she's missing an elbow and litrally blind in the left eye.
All I want to know is if we can perhaps help her with the price on the Samsung Rugby II...
Its very sad if that did happen... but I've heard some tall stories in my time too.


I'm sorry Sir however I do not deal with discounts like this... retentions however maybe able to assist. 🙂

Why I refuse to sell you a PDA/Smarthpone

1. You like it because of the color
2. You tell me you only need it to make calls
3. You ask if the data plan is required
4. You didn't know why the phone would need a data plan
5. You didn't know anything about a required data plan AT ALL until I brought it up.
6. You want it cuz "everyone else has one"
7. You called it a Blueberry.
8. You can't find the power button
9. You're pissed cuz I won't give you a free car charger, even though the Blackberry you want comes with almost everything already - a home charger, three power adapters, a USB data cable, a software CD, manuals, and a Blackberry branded pouch.
10. You ask me where the keyboard is
11. You ask why there's a software CD.
12. You ask if you can put it on a prepay accoun...

This morning I was so happy I almost cried, and evil little cry....

Verizon is finally ending the monopoly on the Iphone. I was happy not because I am an Apple fanboy, far from it actually. No I was happy because I loath the Apple fanboy

The IPhone a$$ hat is far from your normal customer, The IPhone a$$ hat is superior in all ways not only do they crap golden bricks ( because there's an app for that ) but they demand the up-most respect, due to the usage of the best phone on the planet!

Buyers remorse for verizon?

Does anyone know the duration for the buyers remorse period to return my phone and get a new phone? I just ordered the samsung continum and should get it tomorrow as a 2 yr upgrade but im debating on returning it and getting one of the new LTE phones or maybe even the iphone. Thanks.

Verizon Sales rep

I was thinking about applying for a retail sales rep position at a Verizon corporate retailer. Anyone have experience at Verizon? any suggestions on how to be favored more for the job? I have 3 years experience in wireless sales at Radio Shack and a few more years in sales at various other retail stores. All advice and suggestions is appreciated.
