I need to go home, now!

I just had a customer come in and pull a stupid on me.
Custy has a TalkTracker account, but doesn't know it, first problem. We have to figure out if it's a TalkTracker or not. I ask for his number which is not the best way to find out, but it works most times. He has a number that is consistent with talk trackers. So next problem. I ask, How much do you want to pay on the account? He says, I always pay $51 dollars. I say, On the account or total. He gets smart with me and says what difference does it make? I say you pay tax on it, so do you pay 51 dollars for your account, or do you pay around $47 dollars and then the total after tax is $51? He says he don't pay tax, I say then you don't get service. I'm not paying the tax for ...

Attention Insurance Customers

Don't call me and complain that you were too stupid to tell the correct phone number or the correct model of phone that you lost/damaged and act like it's my fault that you got the wrong phone. We asked you at least twice during the call what kind of phone it was and probably verified the number. Even if we didn't verify the number, you're the one who gave it to us. Cry about it

Late Payment.. What?

Ok.. USCell has this thing that if you are 80% through your contract you can resign and get new equipment. I had a customer who had lost his phone and was 10 days away. So I call into relations and ask if we can do it early for him. The guy with USCell asks to talk to customer. SURE! I hear bits and pieces, the customer has a bad pay history with us and he is pissed. Relations explains that his bill is due around the 7th of every month and it's always paid late. The customer says that he sends all his bills on the 17th so USCell needs to change his due date to meet his needs. DUMBASS! Relations approves his upgrade anyway and the customer starts to argue with me!
"Well if USCell sees that my bill is paid around the 17th they shouldn't make...

*&%&in old people!!!

I do not exist to serve your goddamn whims, you old bat. I'm not here to go over your bill with you, or process a price plan change that I get paid nothing for; I'm here to sell phones that I get paid on. You've come on a really ****ty day and basically told me that the information that I have for you, when all you want is a phone that "makes and receives calls" isn't good enough for you. It's a slap in the face to tell me that you want to go "do some research", you senile old bitch. It's a phone, not a life-changing decision. Now curl up, dry up, and die.

Gah. I feel a lot better now. And they say the tax-free weekend was supposed to bring in business. My ass.

Well that was uncomfortable.

Some old dude (50ish) came up to look at plans and look at our local coverage area and said "Lewisberg is spelled wrong on your map" it should be "burg" it was probably written by some wetback.

To which his wife replies "You should let them know they spelled it wrong, but they probably wouldnt listen to you.

To which I replied, "Yeah, but that's because I'm just a wetback."

Made the rest of describing the plans uncomfortable for me and them. Later he said "well I could have said sand n*ggers" just kidding im not biggoted in any way.

He wasn't a redneck either, he was a professionally dressed old dude. Typical republican. It is really hard to stay anti racist with so many stupid white people.

Whitehorse, control your people.

I DROVE ALL THIS WAY!!!

I had a custy call my kiosk, and ask when i closed.

"at 9 o'clock with the mall ma'am"

"okay, thanks!" (immediate click)

she hurried down here, and drove from a nearby city, took her 30 minutes to get here.

she walked up hurriedly and started complaining. I'm not going to bother typing out what, ecause it was all rudimentary BS.

moving on... she gave me her phone number so rapid fire i almost missed it (which is the best way to get anything done fast, rattle off 10 numbers as quick as you can)

but i caught her area code, and realized it wasn't in my market. (being an indirect, cingular has pushed back my ability to look up out of state numbers indeffinitely)

so, i explained that COR/COU stores could help her much mor...

My psycho co-worker

Lord, do I hate this kid. He's supposedly been in the cell-phone business for 3 years, but you'd think that in that time he'd learn to take constructive criticism, or what happens when you force a phone on someone, but no. He gets pissy about getting a lot of returns(more in his one month here than I've had in 6), he gets pissy when you try to help him with either his method or his paperwork(which is crappy), and oh, the best part. One of the guy's at the kiosk next to ours was joking with him yesterday; Jeff(the new guy) seemed to be into it, and had, in fact, started the joking, but then all of a sudden flew off the handle and threatened to break the guy's nose. Then was ready to fly off the stool at me when I told him it wasn't cool, ...

Customer lists

I think all call centers should adopt this policy. At my friends old job working at a third party company who handled Cricket, they had what they called 'Serial Caller" lists. These were customers who called all the time complaining about the same or various different issues that were either extremely petty or could not be resolved. They were to be transferred immediately to a supervisor. Because these were unwanted customers, the sups were known to say things like "F**k off" to the customers and then hang up on them without even handling the call. ๐Ÿคฃ

I think this would be an awesome way to educate customers on how to behave when speaking with any person in regards to an issue. Everywhere should do this.

These racist discussions have gone too far.

I hate to say it, but these are getting old. All Alejandro's post was about was another stupid customer who's aggravating factor came from his obvious racism. Now we have people posting still on a post that was started almost a week ago.

It's time to let it go. As a parting shot to Hayate, I have to say that if you have proclaim yourself to be 'intelligent' enough to ignore someone else's problem, you're most likely an idiot.

As for your comments about stereotypes having truth to them, you're right. There has to be some truth or they would not exist, but let's not forget when these stereotypes first evolved (pre-civil rights era). And I certainly don't agree with your statement that they are correct a majority of the time. And if y...

Land Line Service

I hate it when customers come in and ask if they can make changes to their Land Line account at our location. Then they get huffy when you tell them "No". My favorite was the day I had someone bring me one of those old hard mounted rotary phones in to the store and ask for me to replace it for him. Then he shook his cane at me as to condemn me to hell for not being able to help him.

What part of the "WIRELESS" signage all over my store don't you get?

Beware...

Stay away from Alltel agent ABC Phones.

Unless you want micro management to the extreme. Smoke? Not on ABC property or within 100 yards! I ask boss: What about on top of the city dumpster? Thats city property.
Forget about indivdualiality. You read a script to everyone.
ABC loves to mystery shop. In fact, our "homework" coming back from training was to shop 3 of our own stores. That week with a class of 30 graduating it was awsome to get a mystery shop call from another employee every 10 minutes!
If you forget to clock in, OH WELL. You forgot to spend 5 seconds clocking in, therefore 5 HOURS of work is irrelavent. Even though you didnt realize it until it came time to clock out. You just worked for NOTHING. Chump.
F&&& ABC. Anyone i...

need feedback...quick

I enjoy this forum and respect opinions and advice that float around. I will probably be quitting my sales position. My boss is on his way this afternoon and I'm not sure if I should put in 2 weeks ( he has a habit of letting people work 1 week of the 2 then letting them go afraid they will steal, etc.) or just leaving him high and dry at the end of the month and going to my new job (with $6 hourly pay increase from what I make now). I am also worried that I haven't seen any of my commision from april to present (stupid bimbos he hires are to good to actually work)and I probably won't if I walk. To make thing more complicated the same bimbos do the schedule and are constantly changing it. Well they didn't tell me they changed me from 3-7 yes...

Arg! I hate it when people come into the store expecting me to be able to give them the same deals they have online or at direct stores! I'm a dealer people, If i gave you the same deals that direct stores or online gave you then my company would go out of business and id be out of a job!

cust: but I talked to Customer care and they told me that you could give me the same deals...

me: sir/m'am are you sure that you asked about this store in particular or did you just ask if you could go to a store?

cust: well I asked about any store but they know where I live so doesn't that mean that they said you can do it?

me: no, there are 2 direct stores within an hour of here, those are the ones they are talking about.

cust: well, you ...

We can't cancel order once they're placed, there's no hour grace period, none of it, once it's placed that's it, it's shipping...

Do Not Pass Go
Do Not Collect $200

She didn't like that. She wanted the order canceled RIGHT NOW.

I'm sorry ma'am, it's not possible, it's physically impossible.

She began yelling, screaming actually, then cursing. I asked her to please calm down, that she needed to stop swearing or I was going to disconnect the call.

That's not that unusual, what she said next was.

"I'm going to f#c*1#@* kill myself!"

"I'm sorry you're that upset about this but ma'am, I still am unable to cancel this order."

The swearing resumed from there, involving threats and more screaming and I finally had to hang...
