Honestly, how the hell am I even supposed to answer these questions? Here's an idea. Since you obviously don't care if our phones work in the northern part of Wyoming when you live in northern Arizona, try asking me if the phone works where you actually want to use it! Narrow it down a tad. Maybe then I can answer your stupid question (more on that later) instead of looking at your dumb open-mouthed face staring at me like a retard while I try to get more information out of you.

I've been reading the shop talk forum at work for a while now and figured I'd start posting some experiences. There's a certain group of people up here in Flagstaff, AZ that is just retarded. They are consistently stupid, annoying, rude, and generally a pain in the ass. Anyhow, here are a couple stories about our special customers.

1) I was standing in my kiosk on a fairly slow day. An older guy, probably 50-ish, walks up and looks at me with a blank stare. After a few seconds of awkward silence he says, "Uhh...where do you have one of those...those place that you eat?"

Despite the fact that this was a ridiculous question, I knew what he wanted. I replied, "You mean the food court?". He looked at me confused and asked what I mea...

Lady calls my co-worker wanting to know an upgrade price on a phone. We are an indirect agent. She wants us to match the online price of the phone. That would mean a $100 discount that we can't give them. She asks my co-worker if we want her business and why would we drive her to the online store versus us selling her the phone? My co-worker tells her that she isn't forcing the lady to the online store but it's her decision to buy the phone from us or not. The lady tells my co-worker that she is rude to not change the price to match the website. The caller gets my co-worker's name to call to whoever and complain about her customer service....

What part of that conversation did the lady not understand about changing the price of the phone?...

So I had a sup call a while back where this woman called in complaining that we sent her a Sanyo 7400 instead of her 8300.

Her: This is not a business woman's phone! It has freaking rubber around it and I'm not a construction worker.

Me: I'm sorry that you don't like the appearance ma'am however through the insurance we replace by features.

Her: Well how am I supposed to go to meetings with this thing? I need a phone that does what I need it to.

Me: It does ma'am, it is exactly like you're old phone.

Her: Well I want my old phone and I don't see why you people don't take the look of the phone into consideration.

Me: Because I would assume that if you're a business woman like you say then you would be more concerned with...

So this customer came into my store earlier today. They purchased their phone on 08/06/05. well it just happens that their warranty ended on 08/06/06 and their phone stopped powering on. They walk into my store and talk to my territory manager.

Wife: Well my phone doesn't work what are my options?

TM: Well it looks like your warranty ended 2 days ago so your options are to buy a new phone at retail cost or to do a contract extension and get a discounted phone.

Wife: What do you mean those are my only options don't you care about your customers? I have been with you for 3 years and this is how you treat me? This is ridiculous!!

People who pissed me off today.

I had a lady call in who added insurance to her phone the same day it got damaged. She said it was added on before the damage. I told her that since we have no way to confirm this that we had to deny her claim and remove the insurance. She then told me that it was put on after the damage, but even if it wasn't it's not that big of a deal because it's not like we're going to lose a lot of money.

I replied with, "Insurance fraud is a felony." Why do these people not care? Just because we're not insuring their homes doesn't mean we can ignore the law.

You most of you pplz are pretty mean! I am not going to type in this forum anymore! You meanys! Just cause school starts doesnt mean i cant go on the computer!!!

Why is it that I happen to work with so many incompetent people?? I mean, common, is it so hard to send me the phone I called you and asked for when I ask for it instead of making me call you three days later when I have an irate cust in here just to find out you "forgot" to ship it out to me? Not saying that everyone I work with is like this but I mean, common people! Even my manager is like this, if she does something wrong or forgets to ship something out she either says, well you never asked me for that or puts it off on one of us "little people" that work under her. 👿

Maybe they need to make the form Guidelines sticky at the top of the screen so it's always the first thing on the page. Apparently people are FREAKING READING THEM! So here's the guidelines quote of the day!

I had a lady come in wanting to do an upgrade. GREAT u would think no not great. The reason for her coming in was because her son dropped his phone in water and wanted a new one. I looked them up to see when they were eligible which was kinda hard since she couldnt figure out the last four of her soc for the life of her. We finally figured it out and she's eligible so they pick out the phone. I did it as soon as i hit print i hear the son whispering just ask her. So she does .. can we get a different phone? WOW okay well with my company now that i activated this phone it is now considered used and hasn't even been turned on. HOW IRRITATING .. grrr

Ok, so Ive only been doing this since June but I already feel like Im gonna lose my mind dealing with the stupidty of people who come into my store. I mean you came in here because we are the ones who work with the phones then your going to try and tell me how to do my job?! *screams*

I really never want to step foot into a mobile store again!! I had to pick up a car charger for a friend, so off to Sprint I go. I get there, get the charger and proceed to wait in line for the next rep to ring me up.

Well, just as I am walking up to the counter, a woman barges in, pushes me out of her way. This leads to me falling, catching my head on the counter and a trip to the emergency room. I now have a slight concussion and 12 stiches.

She was pure evil and ignored me on the floor bleeding and proceeded to cuss out the rep for coming to help me. The cops were called. She was hauled away in handcuffs. She evidently had an outstanding warrent.
