Ugh. They finally did it....

...they finally opened a f*cking Mobile Solutions kiosk in my mall. Those guys are idiots and scammers. Well, I'm just glad I don't work for the corporate T-Mobile in the mall that's gonna be fixing all their f*ck ups. ๐Ÿคฃ

wow...that sucked...

I spent an hour yesterday talking to a guy who wanted to upgrade his account. He wanted 3 new phones, data, accessories, higher price plan, money wasn't an issue, etc. I sold him his phones 2 years ago, so I knew who he was. He told me her really enjoy talking to me and what he wanted. I got it all out and as we were ready to get started, he says "Oh...I'm not buying them here. My daughter lives in XXX town and I'll just go over there to buy them with her. If she doesn't have her choice, I'll never hear the end of it." I mentioned that the other store wasn't part of my company (agent) and that I would give him 15 days to exchange the phone if she didn't like it. I also told him I could give him 2 of the 3 new phones and she could get...

Question about overseas

Hey I work in a Best Buy and sell Verizon, Sprint, and Cingular

I'm in a heavy military area, and we get guys going overseas asking us about if their phones work, what to get, etc.

Now I know Cingular works overseas via SIM Card, but my question is (I can't get a straight response from my reps) is how expensive is it to use your phone (Cingular or T-Mobile) overseas, and if so what are the other alternatives if your phone is "locked"

I'd appreciate any feedback, it'd make my life that much easier.

Authorized Users

Good Afternoon All!

I have a question, recently the cellular company I work for has done anyway with Authorized Users. Now, anyone that wants to make changes etc . . needs to know the account holders name, address, and last four of the social and if applicable passcode. We have to have a picture ID and notate the account with the name of the person and that they verified all account info. What do you all think about this? I can think right off the top of my head about 25 customers that have problems with family/friends that know all this info and dont want them to have access to the account. Any thoughts on this new policy?

Shut your mouth, Open your Ears.

It was a short call and I repeated myself 8 times. She was transfered by an activations rep who simply didn't want to deal with her (as far as I can tell) because her phone was shut off... and she wanted to know why it wasn't back on.

She told me why her phone was shut of, she hadn't paid her bill yet.

She also (keep in mind the entire conversation on her end was at a shrill shriek) said it was all my fault (never talked to this woman in my life) that she was loosing business EVERY DAY because her phone had been off for three days and why the hell wasn't I helping her.

The part I kept repeated was "Because I haven't got access to your account, I don't know why you phone is shut off, I can't see your account, I just sell accessories...

If anyone is dealing with EPop, have you figured out how to reply to these nuisences and tell those people to kiss my a$$?

"What Do you mean I have to explain it all over again?"

Why is it such a big deal to say something over again?

Me: Thanks for calling Cingular wireless now the new at&t, can i have your wireless number area code first please?
Cust: 555-555-5555
Me: Okay thank you. And your name?(verify acct blah blah blah)
Cust: John Smith *verifies acct*
Me: Okay, Mr. Smith, how can I help you today?
Cust: WHAT?! You mean, I have to explain it all over again? Oh my God. I already told the rep I was speaking with earlier EVERYTHING and now you're making me do it again? Why? That's not good customer service is it now?
Me: ... Uh. Well, there's no notes in here, and no one told me what was going on. I apologize sir, but I have no previous notes on the issue.
Cust: But I JUST told the rep. I already told h...

Why lie??

M: Can I help you?
H: Yeah, I got this less than 24 hrs ago and the camera is not working
M: You're gonna have to call customer service since that's where you ordered from
H: But I got it here
M: You got that at my store?
H: Well, I got it from Cingular

Are there any other AMP'D mobile dealers in here?

I am a Amp'd mobile dealer and i have questions for other amp'd dealers. How do you all set your price for your phones? We currently do ours online so ours are low because our money is made on quantity. But we are opening a store and obviously need to change our tactics. Amp'd offers the Hollywood for free, are you all doing the same? I was thinking about it but after you minus everything off if someone only signs on for the lowest Monthly Recurring Charge then for a free hollywood the profit is about $10-$20 depending on which master carrier you work with.
Also what is up with the pricing structure? Because basically we all know the Kyoceras are crap (in terms of returns). The hollywood is one of the best and the razr... its a razr, fragi...

Cingy rep needs a lil help

I am having a couple of issues with the Treo 750. I have sold two this week (our first two) and both customers are complaining about the same issue.

I went on Device Tutorials to try to walk the customer through the issues and I am not finding anything helpful.

Both customers are having an issue synchronizing their phones with their laptops/ pc's outlook. One stated that she googled the error that she is getting and the error supposedly means the 750 cannot sync to regular laptop/ pc outlook that it could only sync through an exchange server. I have never heard about this. I have always thought that all of our PDA type of phones could sync with Outlook no matter what.

Also, she said that the only way her lap top will recognize her ...

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

I have been out sick four times in the last three months. Three weeks ago I watched some girl puke all over her cubicle and get up and leave without cleaning it up. No one has cleaned it up to this very day. Seats are first come first serve here and there is no one who cleans the desks at all.

After getting sick (literally) and disgusted by looking at peoples half eaten finger nails trapped in my keyboard, or trying to identify the sticky spot on my desk that I just accidentally put my hand in, or even seeing someone's booger collection on the carpeted wall of the cubicle I decided to take action.

I started bringing Clorox disinfecting wipes and cleaning whatever dest I sat at for the day. The people on my team joined in and our entir...

(Feel free to copy and paste if you're in a hurry.)

I can't stand it when my idiot customers (do/say) (add quote or action). I mean come on, how can these people (select 2 simple tasks: breathe, walk, talk, etc) at the same time? Why can't they just realize that (insert something obvious)? Man today (select derogatory verb i.e. sucks, blows, bites, etc). How's everyone else's day?

The DAC Chip

I love when people come in with a phone that is turned off that (wont work). Of course all I have to do is push power. So I go into the back push the power button then walk out 5 seconds later with the (working phone). The customer is astounded they say what did you do? So I tell them I had to snap the back and tweak the DAC chip. Then I smile and send them on there way.

Anyone else...

Has anyone else noticed an unusual spike in customers that expect a free phone w/o an agreement? OR heard "Well *insert provider here* has that phone for free."? I cannot believe people anymore. "I've been with you guys for two years already and you won't just GIVE me a phone. Why do I have to sign a contract?" CAUSE YOUR WORD THAT YOU ARE STAYING IS NOT ENOUGH! *sigh* "Well the RAZR with Verizon is only 50 dollars and I don't have to have a contract. I can get a phone whenever I want." THEN GO! My favorite story goes like this:

Background.. a husband and wife have separate accounts.. in their own names.

C: My husband lost his phone and he need another one but I'm not paying 200 dollars for one.

Me: I only have one used phone and it...
