Need a reps Help

I used to work at a cingular store and was on my bosses phone plan. I only paid him $40 a month for unlimited data and share of 2,500 anytime minuets. Now he is canceling the line and I need a new plane. I'm looking for something with unlimited data and at least 500 anytime minuets. It has been a long time sense I work in the industry (about 6 months) and I was woundering what plans you guys would recomend. I'm willing to switch to any of the large carriers except T-mobile. I'm willing to spend like upto $65 a month and like $200 on a new phone. I love smartphones and would like something with wifi if it is available.

Thanks,
Josh

No coverage for Sprint customer, waives termination fee?

Ok, I've been hearing around my store that you can cancel your Sprint account AND they will waive the termination fee if you move to some specific city in some specific state, that has "no coverage".

I'm not just saying that there's some random place that has no coverage; I'm saying that I've heard from a couple reps and managers have called and told Sprint customer service that a customer had moved to this magical anti-Sprint place that had no coverage, and they cancelled his account and and waived the termination fee.

Does anyone know about this, or where this place is?

It really grinds my gears...

I really get ticked off when someone flat out tells me they know more about my job than I do. I work my butt off to be the best. I can't imagine how many pissed off customers I'd have to deal with if I consistantly screwed people.

A guy brought a charger in that he bought off of Ebay. He wants to trade it 'even up' for one of my chargers. His charger doesn't fit any current VZW phones and I don't know that it fit any of the old phones either. I would have no practical use for it. It's also a brand (generic...like Wireless Genie or some crap like that) I never carried.

He insists that because he knows my manager that I have to do this for him. The manager is in a different store today, so I invited the guy to go visit the man...

Oh my.

I have a guy on the phone right now who told me that he lost his phone about two months ago and wants to know why Verizon is still charging him his monthly fee since he doesn't even have that phone anymore. I told him, "If your TV was broken, your cable provider would still bill you for service. It's not the cable comapany's fault your TV doesn't work, just like it's not Verizon's fault that you lost your phone. You'll have to cancel the line if you wish to not be billed, or you'll have to wait until your contract is up to cancel it if you don't want to pay the ETF." To top it off the guy doesn't even know his own cell phone number so I can't tell him when his contract expires.

Grandparents

Okay, today has been nuts! I'm assuming everyone else is busy since there haven't been many posts today.

Let me tell you about my favorite custie of the day! This is long, but nobody's in here anyway, so who cares.

Child(about 11) and Grandfather come in and belly up to my counter.

GF: This phone is broke again, what are you going to do about it!

Me: What's wrong with it?

Ch: The same thing as last time!

Me: And what was that?

Ch: You don't remember?

Me: I've sold hundreds of phones, and turned in almost 15 a month in for warranty, I can't remember anything. What's the name on the contract and I'll look it up.

Child gives name, I find it and get the history of the phone.

Me: So is the mike messing up again?...

More Call Center Fun

So I'm wondering if I'm still in bed because I keep hearing and seeing things that make me go "eh?"

In the bathroom and it's empty (We have a 10 stall bathroom too) except for me... and another lady walks in and picks the stall next to me (9 other choices, 7 of which will put you someplace that is not directly next to the only occupied stall but that's typical...

She was singing... quite... exuberantly. And continued to sing while in the stall. I know the weather is nice (well warm) but singing in the bathroom? You really must have had to pee.

Then I hear a co-worker "Sir... that's not an address. No, sir... there are no valid addresses on Mars yet."

I pinched my arm, and nothing's changed.

This same scenario

FIVE times TODAY!!!

c: Do you have free phones?

m: With a new 2 year contract, we do.

c: Ok, well, can I try for one then?

m:Sure! *Takes down info and runs credit*
It would require a $400 secruity deposit to get you started.

c: But I thought you said the phone was free.

m: *Bangs head repeatedly against counter*

Quick question.

Is there any other job where you can hear this statement:

"thanks, I may hit up my local dealer tomorrow"

...and not think immediately of drugs?

Just the wrong moment...

So I had a co-worker walk by my desk just now and all I caught was one line of the conversation but apparently I'm really tired and REALLY drugged soooo I burst out laughing . . . What did he say?

"It weighs 20 pounds."

I need to go home.

Older Customers

Okay, I work in a upscale retirement city where most of the old people were engineers, lawyers and the such, but when it come to working their phones it is beyond them. Turning them on is beyond most of them and what gets me is they have had their phone for a few years. Did they just never turn the phone on since they had it?

Not to mention those that get their phones and the voicemail gets set up but for some reason they are never told the password or can not remember the password. Then having to call up customer service to help them reset their voicemail password and having to have the customer remember at least three numbers dialed from the phone in the last two weeks, and they can not remember any. Thank god for call logs.

Patienc...

bitch ass parents

I had this kid leaning on my kiosk case, with his hands stretch accross to the doors on my side.

I asked him if I could help him with anything and he replied "NO" in the most snotty **** faced attitude I had ever heard come from a 10 year olds mouth and even customers near the counter gave him a bad look. Then I said "I would appreciate it if you did not lean on my cases," then he got up and left as I thanked him.

Later his mom came over and told me I had no right yelling at her son and of course I responded with what happened, she yelled the same thing again and stormed off. While under my breath I mutter "bitch."

All the while thinking "I love my job," "I love my job," "I love my job," "I love my job."
