Cingulars going broke

At least this is what some old man kept exclaiming while I was on hold with the rebate center. He claimed that Cingular MUST be going broke because they didn't have any one to answer the phones!

So I spend all this time getting his rebate issue resolved(he wasn't even a customer of mine) just so he could then come back the next day to load up a fast card that we don't even sell for him. I thought about killing him. He was so little and frail it would have been easy.

Do I agree? No, Not really.

So a customer was arguing with me about the activation fee... (they've got us taking telesales calls again, the bastards.)

And he asked me if I agreed with it. Actually, no I don't. But it doesn't matter if I agree or not, they don't listen to me about what I need for a schedule, let alone if we should charge activation for a phone line. Why the heck to people think we can do anything about it? We can't, and they don't seem to grasp that no matter how many times we say "No sir, I don't know why they charge it and no I can't do anything about it."

I hate being asked to 'waive' it because they always say "because ..." and enter any reason you want (I am a new customer, to encourage new customers, I'm an existing customer, to reward e...

just called asking for a free gophone cause hes disabled and the phone thats on promo doesnt comply with the americans with disabilities act. then proceeded to yell and scream about how illegal it is to not give him what he wants

ppl that don't know what phone they were looking at...

i hate it when ppl come in from another store, or from looking at a phone online, and they are looking for a specific phone, and they HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PHONE IT IS!! they don't even know what it does, what it looks like, def not it's model number, and all too often they come up to our store, after JUST LOOKING AT THE PHONE AT ONE OF THE KIOSKS DOWN STAIRS!

People who can't use the internet.

All I was trying to do was tell him how to see the accessories that we offered. That just means going to www.tmobile.com it's not even a little bit hard... unless you are an idiot or don't know how to use the Internet.

There are an appalling number of people who simply don't know how to use the Internet. Instead of using the address bar they have a search bar that they type the address they want into it and it gives them a search listing... and then they end up on third party site...

So he wanted a bluetooth headset from one of those sites and could NOT grasp the concept that shop.com is not the same as t-mobile.com EVEN if the headset says "T-mobile Bluetooth Headset." That doesn't mean your on the site that will show you what we c...

PDC II I hate you more than you will ever know.

How do I hate POS.com II let me count the ways.

1. You must first delete the soc TM1S from the entire freaking group in order to add 200 messages to one of the lines. Oh, and then you get to go back through and add the PPY to everyone else again.

2. What the hell is a tuxedo error.

3. I know that group has a future-dated rate plan I just changed it now let me add another line to the account.

4. Repeat 1st reason five thousand times a shift.

5. Let me go back to the account profile from the completed activations screen. PLEASE!

6. I realize that security is an issue, but changing your password that often is overkill methinks.

so many more but didn't want to make this too long. Feel free to add things that I forgo...

He doesn't know what he's doing and now I look like the incompetent.

Ok, so our system is down to nothing but backups that won't be processed until Monday (So the incompetent programmers can go in and take out the old bugs and add new ones to make the system crash for reasons we're not used to so we can have some variety.) It isn't actually going to make a difference from my end because it's Sunday so anything we put into the system will be finalized either today, tonight, or tomorrow morning so it's going to ship out on Monday just like when we had the normal system up and running.

But we had an agent inform a customer that shipping was free then go back and say that he was sorry, he misspoke, it's not free, it's $5.99 (and they'll have it by Weds at the latest, just like normal.)

Little Kids + Rice cakes= bad news

Why would you give your kid a rice cake. All he is going to do is eat half of it, smash up the rest and leave it on my carpet. Seriously. I'm going to stop customers from leaving till they clean up their little blessings messes.

Alltel sale

Everyone is saying that the main bidders for the purchase are Verizon, Sprint, Comcast, etc. Here's why it may or may not happen for each of them:

Verizon:
Why they might:

It would increase their network strength and customer base, and they can finally say they have a strong network without lying or misleading their customers. They haven't had any major purchases or mergers lately, so the FCC will be more willing to allow this.

Why they might not:

There are certain areas that VZW and Alltel are the only CDMA carriers, and this would violate anti-trust laws by being the only CDMA option, but they may be able to get away with this, by reselling the spectrum to an MVNO that either already exists, or one that may become creat...

that doesnt want my help just because they figure that i dont know anything because i look young, short, and am a girl is going to get run over by my damn car.

dont you HATE it when customers swear like you dont know anything. ive worked in the cell phone industry for about three years now. im not saying that i know everything and that im the sh!t at what i do but COME ON. seriously? i work for this company for a reason. i am a LEAD for a reason. just because i am small and am a girl doesnt mean that i dont know the difference between this phone and that. it doesnt mean that i dont know as much if not more then the next person. damn prejudging sons of a b!tches.

i swear.. i love it when customers steer away from me when they come ...

Calling out all TMobile Indirect Dealers in NYC and LAC markets!!

You NY and LAC dealer need to stop preactivating T-mobile prepaid sim cards bc they are causeing a lot of problems with my customers and plus you are commiting dealer fraud according to T-Mobile policy. So stop now before you get caught. And if do decide to keep preactivating them, at least put a DOB that you and the customer can remember bc we have to send them to a direct Tmobile dealer with ID to get the info if they can't verify; I report ALL preactived sim card cases and T-MObile is starting to catch up with the tickets. So PLEASE stop preactiveating sim cards!!!! pass this to all your dealer buddies if you have heart. STOP BEING GREEDY!!!!


Do you guys only do this to T-mobile sim cards?? does this happen to cingular prepaid too???...

Hey, Wireless Solutions....

Stop selling phones! The crap you sell makes the rest of us look bad. How bad is it when the carrier you sell for shudders at the mention of your company name? I have had so many of your customers (very angry, I might add) that come into my store with unlocked, discontinued phones that are not even authorized by the carrier to sell and the customer is so angry because most of the features will not work because the software is not loaded correctly or is the wrong software for the carrier. Get a clue, you idiots!
