Disability Discount

I had a customer ask me if we give discounts for disabled customers. Truly, I do not know. I do not believe so, but I told her that I would check it out with my RAE and call her. If anyone knows, please let me know.

Just one today out of so many

So I had a TON of stupid people today but this one just made me shake my head.

I seem to get more idiots when I am taking calls than when I am handling Chat sessions...

This guy placed on order for a phone that cost $99.99 plus Tax. There was an issue with the credit check and the system asked him to call us. He didn't. Instead he placed the order again with a different phone at the same cost. The same error came up so again, instead of following the directions online, this guy replaced the order AGAIN. Finally he contacted us when the error came up the third time.

And he credit card was declined.

Why? Because he had over $200 worth in holds on his card because this numbskull couldn't follow instructions. He has to wait thr...

I just stretched. Floor support (!) came over to see what the score was.

'Round here, when you need help, floor support is nowhere to be found. Seriously. They look at you and then turn their head or walk away.

Need a favor - AT&T Agents

Does anyone have the mail in rebate form that started today or was extended from the one that expired yesterday? I'm not sure which because I haven't seen one. My manager is out sick and doesn't care, my RAE is on vacation in Hawaii, and I'm telling people we'll call when we have a form for them. Can anyone help us out? If you have the PDF shoot it over to hombre7@gmail.com I'll be greatly appreciative.

Looking for device that can play Emulators.

Yeah, so what the Subject said. I'm looking for a device that can play emulators if one exists. The ones I use are Snes9XW, and RockNES X NES Emulator. Preferably a GSM device capable of using AT&T's network (most preferably an AT&T device)

ok, let me tell you first that i love my job!!!



what i love more about my job is my customers,:

specially the special one, or may i say "the one who think they are special".....

so i love when they come in to the store and they star with " i been a customer for xxx years can i get a free blackberry,!!!"" and some times 2 years to the is like if life time .. " i been with you guys for xxx years can i get a free phone" ... where do this people get this ideas from???

now let me ass you a couple of questions, tell me

1. does anyone here pay for electricity or water? have you ever called and tell them that you been a customer for so and so long that you deserved to get a month free??

2. how many of you guy go to the market?...

mmm mmmm analog

As many may know- AT&T is shutting the analog network down on the 18th. We've been notifying all the analog customers for nearly 3 years that it was going to happen.

Just about sick of every other call being a naggy old man/woman whos needing to upgrade due to the fact that they can't keep their 10 dollars a month for 15 minute plans lol.

Bad Phones

So the first customer of the day was this guy comes by looking at our phones. I great him and ask him if there is anything I can help him with. He asks me if we are going to get any good phones. I tell him we have lots of nice phones. He asks about the data phone and tells me that our blackberry and htc phone are horrible and should be removed from our stock. I ask him why he thinks they are horrible. He tells me that they are too complicated and no one can figure them out. I inform him that our phone are quite easy to use and that if he has any questions I would be happy to help. He refuses and continues to complain about them. Now, let us discuss. Apple is #1! How did that happen? Oh, yeah. They only have one phone and it is pretty darn good.

RIM is no surprise at number 2. Blackberrys (or is it Blackberries?) are some of the best devices bar none. I'm just waiting for 3G. Come on 3G!

I was surprised that LG and Sanyo were so high up. I only have experience with Cingular/AT&T phones so I don't know much about Sanyo. However, I hear nothing but bad things about LG. Maybe they are turning around though. The Shine, Voyager, Venus, Vu, enV and Chocolate have been pretty good. Wait a minute! Those are mostly CDMA phones! LG is screwing GSM c...

PC Card Question

We recently got a USBConnect 881 for our kiosk laptop. It seems to work okay when it wants to. Wednesday, it ran fine all day. Today, I have had to disconnect and reconnect and restart the computer several times. I know that the signal depends on the GSM/GPRS/EDGE signal (no 3G in our area yet), but is there any way to speed it up a little. Are there some settings or maybe a special web browser I could use? Thanks in advance.

Employee appreciation

So one of my employees is leaving, her last day is tomorrow. I kinda want to get her something to say thank you for being a good employee...but have no idea what to get. I am not very good at these sorts of things. Any ideas?

"what do you mean I have to sign a new agreement to get a new free phone? I'm not paying anything for a phone, I pay you monthly for service, and I'm not signing a new contract. I'll go to ATT or Verizon, their customer service is much better!"

2 more weeks till severance pay!!!! Believe me, I'm counting down the days!!!!!

Racists

So I am my store's manager. My territory manager is black. HE is a stand up guy. WE had this ex-con walk in our store today and try and get a phone. When we were running his app he was apprehensive about giving us his soc sec number and requested a full print out of the credit report. When we told him to call the credit bureau and get it because we had no way to print one out he called us liars and that he was an electrical engineer and a doctor and knows way more about the computers than we do. He said he didn't like the tone of my bosses voice( he has a deep raspy and loud voice naturally) my boss asked him to leave. As he was walking out he called him a fat n**#er. I was so shockeD!

I have to admit that I don't work for a wireless company. That is, any more. At the young age of 22 I thought I'd finally found the perfect job. This job was mentally challenging, paid well, provided some much needed social interaction & most importantly didn't physically drain me. You see since graduating from HS I found it hard to get a job that didn't overwhelm me. Soon after my birth I was diagnosed with Still's Disease, or juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Basically it means I get fevers, painful muscle spasms, excruciating arthritis & other symptoms. As you can imagine the combination of pain & a lot of medication causes me to have spells of dizziness & fainting. 🙄

Not really Shop Talk but an amusing Niki-tale

So like I said, this isn't really "Shop Talk" but it's a good story all the same and if you're like me you love a good story, especially a funny story.

So my boyfriend is a saint, he's very sweet. He took me out last night for Valentine's Day as I have to close tonight so we can't go out. He bought me a nice card, a little box of nice chocolates, and a stuffed rottweiller (he knows I have a soft spot for rotties) and it was one of those "beenie buddy" ones so it had a name... and it was named Brutus, which is my mom's dog's name and he was my dog when I was living at home so that name too has a special meaning for me, which he knows. samsung m510 issues

i posted this in the sprint forum but no replies so i'll try here too, sorry for double posting but im just lookin for some answers.

has anyone else had problems with this phone turning off and back on again for no reason, its got a full charge but sometimes when i go to use say yahoo messenger it doesnt want to log in so i try to exit the application and try again but it just resets the phone. or i could be talkin on the phone and the phone will turn off and back on by itself, its annoying as all get out, i dunno if its manuf. defect or what, but i live a good hour away from the nearest repair center, so if you have any info about what could be goin on please let me know. thanks

Can customers Comprehend anything???

This is a question I wonder about on a daily basis, here are 2 prime examples of why I think of this daily.

Example 1:

Cust calls in ON THEIR PHONE when the IVR(Automated Message) tells them if they are ON THEIR PHONE to hang up and call back from a land line--but daily we get so many people that call in on their damn phone and complain that they have to call back

Example 2:

Before we do whats called a software reset, I instruct the customer they will need to take the battery out of the phone WHILE ITS POWERED ON, and the response I normally get is "You want me to turn the phone off and take the battery out??"

Stupid people just drive me crazy, don't get mad at me becuase your not able to listen to WTF people tell you.....
