Sprint's NSSD

i hear a lot of bad things about this department on these forums, but i gotta tell you i love sales support. they can't always do what i need them to do but generally their intelligence level is much higher than customer care's.

i have run into a few in sales support that i'd be happier never running into again, but in general i am completely happy with them and what they do for me and my customers.

they are much better at switching plans for my customers, at esn/imei swaps, and even just general information. don't get me wrong, cust care has things it's good at too, making me cry, causing customers to attempt od-ing on tylenol, and telling them to come to our store to for nextel repairs. the problem is we're an affiliate and our ...

If You Could Have Any Phone...

...what would it be and with which carrier? I want the Nokia N96 with AT&T. I know, I know. It's just a jazzed up N95, but it is a sweet looking phone with all the features that made the N95 a must have.

VZW Unlimited Plans = Bad News for AT&T (Maybe?)

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/02/17/verizon-to- ... »

Well, it has finally happened. A major wireless carrier is offering and unlimited minutes plan. I have been told that Sprint offers one, but it is in limited markets and hard to find. VZW, on the other hand, is openly advertising these new plans.

In December, my dealership migrated from Cellular One to AT&T. In doing so, the Unlimited plans for Cellular One were retired. If you have it, you keep it (for now). But no new or existing customers could get it. They had a statewide plan for $55 and a nationwide plan for $99. A lot of customers are very upset that AT&T does not offer an unlimited plan. However, there has been a saving grace....

Top CSR stories

New Thread....best (or worst) CSR stories.
Got called to QC the other day.Listened to a caller asking about her bill, while she was having sex.I didn't know whether to laugh or feel sorry of the guy, that he couldn't make her lose her train of thought.Or maybe for her that he couldn't?
All day long we listen to people scream and yell, but there are those few times when we come across some caller who adds that little bit of humor that enables us to do the job without reaching through the mic and slapping that crap outta the caller.Lets hear your best....or worst

No Sir, That Wasn't Want Abe Had In MInd

M: Sir, casual usage text charges are accrued for any text message you send or receive from your phone. Of course, we do have a variety of text messaging bundles...

C: Ya mean to tell me I get charged if someone sends ME a message?

M: That is correct, sir.

C: That's robbery! That's theft! I think I will go find myself another carrier.

M: (In a moment of complete sincerity) Sir, this is pretty much a standard in the wireless industry. Although there may be exceptions, you will find other carriers have similiar billing processes and charge similiar rates.

C: Well everyone accepted slavery for a time too! Doesn't mean it was right! Are you telling me you think slavery is ok!?

M: Ummm...WHAT?

C: What you're doing with text m...

Sprint shafts the customer yet another way.

Reconnect Fee Change

Effective immediately, the reconnect fee charged to customers reactivating a cancelled account has increased from $20 to $25. The fee change applies to customers in both the Ensemble and P2K billing systems. Please ensure you are communicating the correct fee to your customers as this fee is automatically applied to the customer's account when reactivating a cancelled account.

Is it just me?

I find it extremely hard to get up in the morning (early afternoon ;) ) to come and talk to the customers all day. And I nearly have anxiety attacks every night just waiting for 11pm to roll around. lol..

Am I in the wrong industry? I dunno I figure I just have a lot of growing up to do still...

But I hate the thought of settling for a job that I don't really like but pays the bills.

FLSA

So I've been gone for awhile, and I just wanted to let you all know I'm looking for a new job. I found out that my employer has been illegally withholding overtime pay since 2004, so I filed a complaint with the Department of Labor. After i cost my company several hundreds of thousands of dollars in back-pay and fine I'm very certain they'll find a reason to fire me.

I encourage all of you to please be aware of your legal rights. Corporations are only interested in their bottom line, not your well being.

stupid work equiptment always breaking or broken

ok, so i've been having an AWESOME day. yaa riiiight.

first, i find out that if we use our cordless phone, both our corded phones will not work while someone is on the cordless. which also means the line is tied for the CC machine. i already knew that you couldn't be on the phone next to the CC machine and attempt to swipe a debit or credit card. so, here i am on the cordless with NSS , goin on 20 mins, and we did an upgrade with another customer and he was paying by debit. (so we couldn't call another store of ours to run the credit card, cause of the PIN). so now he's waiting for me to get off the phone, which i can't cause im trouble shooting a nextel... :\ ..anyway, so now my co-workers are baggin on me. sayin im always breakin st...

MOTORAZR2 V9

Anyone know if and/or when they are going to release a different color for AT&T? And if so, what color(s)? I hate the maroon that is available. I mean, come on. There are around a dozen different colors of the V3 and V3xx available. Why not the V9?

from sprint to at&t

I currently do cust svc for sprint, but i'm thinking of taking a job doing cust svc for at&t. Has anyone ever worked for both of them?
For those who work at at&t, what are the pros and cons of working in at&t call center? I'm tired of working for the chaotic, uncoordinated, outsourced, and maybe even satanic beast that is sprint...is at&t any better?

Employee Tech. Line

We just got a new tech. line policy. It seems a bit unfair. We have to purchase a phone at the full retail price, and recieve a small discount on the accessories for it. Our monthly price is good, but full retail price?

How does your tech line work? How screwed am I getting?

Every Breath You Take...

Every Smile You Make...

M: Thanks for holding ma'am, my name is **** and I am a supervisor here with Black and Yellow. I understand you had a question in regards to your balance owed?

C: Yes, it's a long story so I'll save you the time and headache. Suffice it to say that for the past three months I have been on the run. My husband is trying to kill me, and he has been tracking my movements and phone calls.

M: (Thinking holy s***) Wow. I am so sorry to hear that! What a horrible ordeal.

C: I know (sighing). So I have really used my phone for three months now. Can I get a credit for the past three months of service.

M: No...(Customer cuts me off)

C: Ok, thank you very much for your time. *Click*

First Thing in the Morning... and

I'm already getting yelled at over the phone. 🙄 How come people can only understand half of our return policy? The customer calls me up screaming into the phone about how they don't have any reception where they are at, and he is returning his phone. 😡 (I think it was my activation, and he's only had the phone a week). Anyhow, I tried to explain to him our return policy, and to make sure he has everything together for when he comes in. He began screaming again and demanded to speak with a manager when he gets here. -Of course, no manager is on duty. 🙄 So when I asked him if he was under ___minutes talk time, he started screaming again. I told him he could speak with another manager on duty at another location if he w...

AT&T Rant

I work for an AT&T dealer that used to be CellOne. Last month, AT&T started a new rebate policy. Quite simply, it sucks! You must get a minimum $10 data/messaging package and keep it for 6 months. If you do not, you do not get the mail-in rebate and the phone gets jacked up $20! WTF?!? People are already PO'd that they will have to switch to AT&T and this just adds to their frustration and mine. We are a small town/area. We have a lot of people who don't do messaging or internet on their phone; namely OLD PEOPLE! We have tons of older customers who just want a simple plan and a cheap phone. We have an exception to the rebate policy in the Nokia 2610. We offer it FREE without a rebate. Although the 2610 is a good basic phone, it is somewhat ...
