SLOW

🤤
It is presently 7:36 PM. I am bored. The snow has apparently scared off *most* of our customers. (Yawn) Anyone have any interesting stores happen lately? Entertain me, please. 😳

I heart pin numbers!

I can understand its hard to remember all your pin numbers. That's why we have them setup. So that people don't access your account. Even you. Because I know that if you call your bank and say that you forget your pin, they will still let you do ANYTHING to your acct just because you say its your acct. Yes sir or maam, let me lose my job by committing fraud! I love breaking rules because your mad because you can't remember a pin number. Here's an idea, write it down. GRRRR.

No More Payment Drop Offs

I hate when customers come in, plop an envelope on the counter and leave. It p!$$e$ me off. It only takes one minute to post a payment and then you can get a receipt proving your made your payment. Most of the time, the envelopes are sealed and I have even had a few that had a stamp on them. Why? If you've already got that much done, just mail it! From time to time, they do not even include their bill stub or their account/wireless number. HOW THE HECK ARE WE SUPPOSED TO POST IT?!?

With the CellOne/AT&T migration, it becomes more of a problem.

First of all, we CANNOT take final payments. Once a CellOne account is closed, we can no longer look it up. Final payments must be sent in or done over the phone. This means that if someone migr...

Out right purchases from indirect

so i had this couple come in today, wanting to buy a phone out right. I asked why, they said they lost thier phone. so i asked if they had insurance, no. then i asked if they'd like to see if they're eligable for an upgrade, that way it'll save them some money. they didn't want to have to sign a new agreement. and mind you, i'm down to like 9 phones, literally. so selling a phone out right is not an option when i could get a new activation out of them. so i tell them i can't sell them a phone because our stock is limited and they're for new customers only, or atleast someone upgrading. they look at me as if im lying to them.. lol.. which P*ssed me off, so i said, look, i can't sell you one, period. you can try across the street at the corpor...

Roaming Issue

I had a customer come in a few months back and start Cell One service. He got three lines with the Statewide Unlimited Plan. It would come to $160 plus tax per month. When he got his first bill, it was pretty high because of activation fees and proration. Cell One only has two bill cycle dates in our area and he fell right in between those dates. This meant his first bill was $330 plus tax ($160/mo + $90/activation fees + $80/proration).

He came in cursing up a storm (somewhat understandably) about the bill and I explained it to him. I told him (as I did on the day he signed up) that the first bill is always higher and that it should fall back to $160 plus taxes barring any pay-per-use or roaming charges. He had brought his copy of the co...

Palm Centro being used with a diff carrier

I was just wondering if sprints Palm Centro would work with a different carrier at all?
are they locked or anything like that ... well i know there's no such thing as locked in the CDMA world but ya know what I'm talkin about..

I'm with a local provider, so it's pretty common for their customer's to come in with alltel and verizon phones and say hey activate this as my phone and they're like okay no prob... so my question is... is it possible with a sprint phone?

I'm kind of interested in the Palm Centro. I don't need anything to flashy but I'd like a full keyboard with a little bit of extra functionality.

*** The local carrier runs on the CDMA network

Why can't more people be like this?

Me = M

Custie = C

M = *insert generic greeting here*

C = Yes, I'd like to change my text plan. (knows exactly what he wants, and doesn't tell me a life story about why he wants it)

M = Can I have the mobile number, area code first?

C = Yes, it's 999-999-9999 (Gave me the right number, on the first try!)

M = For security reasons, I'll need the password on the account.

C = Sure, it's ****** (gave me the right one!)
C = I want to add the 1500/unlim VZW package to this line, please.

M = Ok, if I add that with the beginning of the cycle, it will cover your current usage, but you get charged twice on the next bill, once for this month, plus a month in advance.

C = That's fine, I need the package. If you saw my balance, ...

Price Matching

Today, my area representative spent the day with me at our store. An incident happened and I would like your input. We are a dealer. We are VERY slow. We average 50 payments a week and about 30 new activations/upgrades a month since AT&T took over Cell One. I had a lady come in with her husband and brother. She wanted to migrate 3 lines from Cell One to AT&T and add a fourth line. I ran her credit and because she was a Cell One customer, it came back approved. As they were looking at the phones, I prepared to start the migration. Then, the husband started telling his wife that they should go to Walmart because the phone he wanted was only $50 there and the phone she wanted was free at Walmart. They decided to go to Walmart instead. After the...

and this is how you thank me?

So my manager asked me if I could do some overtime because one of the other techs had car trouble. No problem I said I will be there at 10. I get a call at 8:45 asking if I can go to another store to get some fliers for the sales people and I agree. Now keep in mind that the store that I work at and the one they asked me to go to are in two completely different towns and I have to go about 15 miles out of my way to get to the store. My I get a text at 10:10 asking where I was and I said I was on my way to get the fliers from another store. Then she told me that I should have calculated it into my traveling time. So let me get this straight, I am supposed to waste my extra time, spending my gas which I can not get reimbursed for, to do ...

What the heck????

Recently I have had a bunch of people coming in trying to get a phone but they do not bring their ID. What the heck?

I can understand that sometimes you might forget your wallet or purse it happens. But not carrying an ID for the sake of not carrying one is just stupid. I thought it was illegal to not carry it if you are over 18.

"I am sorry sir that I can not do a credit application. You do not have a valid ID. You will have to come back if you want a plan that requires a contract so you can do your 'BIdneas'."

Am correct in am assumption that it is required to carry some a of state id or passport?
