Help!!!

I am with U.S. cellular and I have the Kyrocera strobe, I have has nothing but problems with it, and I need a new phone that does not have a mind of its own..... any suggestions?

customer comments!!!

I had a customer call in to make some changes to her account, when I asked for her pin she stated she could not remember. I stated"no problem can you give me the security answer to favorite hobby?" she replied"sex" I sat quiet for a moment then started to assist her with her prblem and she interuppted me with "Well I thnk it is a hobby I don't get paid for it"....I have to mute the call so she wouldn't hear me laugh

Sprint retail store closure in Georgia...first of many more to come

In a recent District conference call, it was confirmed that one of the Sprint corporate retail stores in Columbus, GA, will be closing their doors and terminating the entire staff there without any option for transfer to another department within Sprint as part of the 125 corporate retail stores to be completed over the next two weeks. At least the axed employees will walk with 8 weeks of salary plus 1 week for every full year works at Sprint as well as 100% pay out for PTO and accrued vacation.

question about data plans with BB (all carriers)

i know vzw requires a data plan for any blackberry that is activatated. i was wondering if this is a requirement by rim thus making all carriers have a data plan with a bb?

I've noticed recently that when I'm explaining the terms of service and how everything works to a customer its like I'm explaining it to a 2 year old. I've had to stop myself because my tone changes and the way I explain everything is slow and methodical. I start to feel bad because its almost like I'm talking down to the customer. But for some people it seems like they need it to be explained like that or they come back and yell at you because they didn't understand. Does anyone else ever notice this?

Interesting call yesterday

I had a lady call me in yesterday wanting to know how to get her phone out of Emergency mode because she had to call 911.

So I told her what to do, and just making small talk while she was resetting her phone I asked her if everything was okay.

She told me what happened. Apparently there was some car on the highway traveling southbound in the northbound lanes going extremely fast. I was like 😲, and asked her where it happened and it was only a mile or so away from where I work.

Pretty crazy stuff, I'm waiting to read the paper tonight to see all the details on the situation, and hopefully nobody got hurt.

A favor to ask of mean store reps...

When ever you have to call into sales support, if i tell you i can't do something for one reason or another, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, no not yell scream cuss at me, make me feel less than human, i am just trying to do my job and I'm not going to commit fraud just to make you happy. Sorry sweetie it doesn't work that way, i don't care how many reps before you let you access the account or do what ever it was you were trying to do, because if they really did let you access the account or do this stuff, why are you calling back to do it again. I AM NOT STUPID i know how to do my job and I'm not gonna compromise my job because of you.

So the campaign isn't going very well...

*NOW Services was suppose to be BANK for us in sales right?... Easy sales - simply just adding a feature and what-not. Customer wants text messaging.. no prob we add a package.

It use to be set up so that customers could set these features up on their own Through an automated system (which failed.) Now they're being directed to us.

Who calls this line you ask? Everyone that we can't help. Go-phones and business lines.. So then it's like mmmkay well I'll transfer you to the right department... Either that or the customer hears a voice and freaks out *CLICK*.

There goes my conversion.

wrong number

okay. so i am on an outbound dialer currently at my center. the numbers are pre-programmed into the dialer so the number just pops right up when i get a call. i then have to pull up all the account info by that. today a number and name pops up...the convo goes like this.

me: hi there, my name is ______ and i'm calling with ___ wireless. is mia there?

smarty pants: mia? who is mia?

me: oh, i'm sorry. i must have a wrong number.

s.p: well what number did you dial?

me/to self: what number did you answer, idiot?

me: the 4334 number
(figuring that would be enough...wrong)

s.p: what's the WHOLE number?

*oh my lord, seriously...hang up please.*

me: 667-443-4334

s.p: hmmm. well, that's this number alright (no way, real...

OOPS!

I totally just sold myself out of a sale. UGH!

Customer comes in to upgrade granddaughters phone because the phone got wet, and now doesn't work, but the line's eligible and we're buying a chocolate, so whatever ,right?

WRONG

I get in account, the new bill that cycled thru on the 4th, is showing a balance of $740.55. I can't find the reasoning on my screen. I call in..... Kid had $20 unltd IN + 5000 msg pkg. And used 10,405 messages. So $540.50 overages was all text messaging. On top of that she had done premium txt, get it now downloads, granted all that was only about $25 worth. After going through 3 reps I had a rep who switched them to the select plan, and issued a $300 credit to be approved by a sup. Grandma was so ma...

1. How important does a person have to be before they are consideredassassinated instead of just murdered?

☹️ I am really starting to hate being a technician.... Its so degrading... I've been with the company a little over a year and I'm done. The big V people put all the crap on me when I have a long line. Stupid stuff like a fru or an rsn change that they can do... I need to find a new job... If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. ( sorry if this seems like a big run on sentence, I'm using my iPhone cause the big V system "forbids" logging into phonescoop, I can just read it)

Text Message Question??

So... only because I'm not sure... Is there a way that you can retrieve the actual text from a txt message once it's been deleted from the phone? Is there like a massive database somewhere that stores each message verbatim that runs through vzw's network? I just had a guy in here that swears there's a way he can get it with a subpoena. I've never heard of a way, but then again, I don't work in the legal department.

Thoughts? Ideas?? Input???

My Boss

My boss is...Well, he doesn't like to spend money even though he is a millionaire. Literally, he has millions of dollars, but he almost refuses to invest more than he absolutely has to into our store and kiosk. Our store used to be a COR store, but they moved a few miles up the road to a plaza and Cell One offered the store to him as a dealer. He took it and has put $0 into it. When the COR store left, they left the counter and phone displays. Two years later, same counter and same displays. I ended up taking the displays down when we switched to AT&T because they were falling apart and they looked horrible. he went over our audit in which the lady said she couldnt find anything to put down bad except our carpet needs to be replaced!! wooo hoo!!

Why is it so hard to find good help?

We are hiring currently for 2 positions in my company. Since December, 4 people have quit. One just walked out after 8 months of being here. We hired someone else for that position but today is their last day too since they found something else. Another that quit was replaced by someone already within the company.

One of the positions is in the accounting dept. They must have interviewed over a dozen people and still no one is capable of the position. Now they are interviewing for the person who is leaving today. One person didn't show up for the interview and the second admitted to a felony. The other 2 applicants that will be coming in haven't worked in over a year!!!! The position only requires a high school diploma, drug test ...
