Pain in the but customers

Dont you hate when you do business with a customer and they think that you are there own peronal salesman. They call or come in all the time to ask questions even when your busy with another customer they exspect you to stop what your doing to deal with them

Another Dumb/Angry Customer

So here I am, working by myself assisting a nice lady with her upgrade. An older gentleman walks into my store with a piece of paper in his hand, peering at the accessories, obviously not sure of himself. So I ask him if he has just a quick question, as I may be awhile with my current customer. Heres the convo:

C - Do you have a battery model number XXX?

M - I don't really know the model numbers of the batteries off-hand, but what kind of cell phone is it?

C - (getting flustered) How the hell should I know? Don't you people just have batteries here?

M - Well, we don't normally stock batteries, but how long have you had the cell phone?

C - I dunno, about 18months

M - Well, let me look up your account you might be eligble ...

My customer story for the day

I had a customer call today and I just can't explain it

Me: How can I help you?

Cust: I hear that you all are paying black people's cell phone bills...

Me: What? (thinking I heard wrong)

Cust: For reparations....

mandatory hours.....

So I have to work a mandatory 3 shifts a week at my store plus I'm in school full time.

For those of you out there in school still how do you balance school and work? I'm having problems only doing three shifts and keeping up with my papers. Are there companies that will only let you work 1 or 2 shifts?

Sprint AND Motorola Heading The Way of The Dinosaurs?

A couple weeks ago, Sprint announced the loss of 639,000 customers in Q4 alone. They also announce 4,000 employee cutbacks and 125 store closures. It seems as though the CDMA/iDEN company is on its death bed.

A couple days ago, I read a RUMOR that Motorola was thinking of getting out of the mobile phone business. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Motorola confirmed that they are looking at the possibility. What would it mean for the wireless industry if both Sprint and Motorola were no longer around?

I don't think anyone would miss Sprint. The only thing they have going for them is the fact that they have cornered the market on push-to-talk...and that was thanks to their horrific merger with Nextel.

sprint outsourcing sucks

so i just heard that in my call center, we are getting a pay cut to 8.50/hour. here is the issue with that, i live in Oregon where the minimum wage is now 7.95 so we would only be making a whopping .55 more than people who work at mcdonalds. The part of this sucks is that i have been working here for four years now and have been making a .25/hour raise every year since i started which will mean that i personally will be getting a pay cut of .75/hour, may not seem like much but it makes a huge difference in you paycheck. they are saying that we have the option to get a 2/hour bonus but even if i qualify for the full 2.00, after taxes are taken out for a bonus, I'm still making less than i should be, i hope this company is sued because i belie...

To the Employee Care rep I talked to yesterday

As the song goes: "Hate is a strong word, but I really really really dont like you"

Why you felt it prudent to REMOVE my employee plan entirely, and put me on the iDEN employee blackberry plan, Ill never know.
Now, maybe its my fault for not being clear when I said "I just activated my BB pearl and need to get the BB plan added".. what I should have said is "Are you a total retard, yes or no?"
And why you set me up to do a PRL update that somehow got locked up and didnt go through, forcing me to recall care 4 times, I also do not know.
It only took 4 hours to get my BB working, so I guess I should thank you??

On second thought.. hate is the perfect word.. I hope youre one of the 4000

scrapper

So this guy pulls up in an old beater truck. His hair is crazy long and sticking straight up. Nothing odd for this area. But the guy is what I call a scrapper. You know the type of hillbilly that has no job he just gets scrap metal and other usless junk to take to the junk yard to get a few bucks out of. And somehow they make enough money out of it to live of of....anyway

fyi...this guy has never been in my store before

M:Hello how are you today?
C: Cold!
M: What can I help you with today?
C: Well I'm looking for a battery for my girlfriends moto w315
M: Ok, well all of our batteries are only $29.99!
C: WHat! Well I didn't want to spend that much
M: Well most places will charge you up to $50 or so...
C: No

Whats the weirdest thing a customer asked you???

I really have to ask this question... You work for a wireless company that of course deals with Cell Phones and such! what do you tell a customer when they walk into your store and say

"Um do you guys carry Cell Phones?"

I remeber the first time heard that question from a customer and I didnt know what to say at first then a chuckle followed by a "yeah we got cell phones right here " and the sad thing about it is the customer was right in from of the cell phones...

what is the weirdest thing a customer has said to you?!

Apparently even though i served, im still "unamerican"

so get these women in my store the other nite, 1 grandmother, two daughters, and one grandchild (to which is the daughter of one of the daughters in the store [that make sense?])

let me set the scene, its 9:35pm, we closed at 9pm. they'd been to the kiosk at about 8pm, and came to the store shortly after, to which i was previously warned they were bruisers anyway.

one of the daughters wants to add a line to her account, and another line to her other daughter's (who lives in IL and is not present).. now because they had already been giving me a hard time and my patience was running thin, i chose to go with my gut and not accept the fact that she could prove it was her daughter and it was ok with her if i added the phone to her account....

CUSTOMER CALL ON YESTERDAY SHE WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH HER PHONE AS THEY ALL CLAIM THEY DO!! I ASKED WHAT TYPE OF PHONE SHE HAS? THE CUSTOMER REPLIED THAT SHE HAS AN T-MB MOTOROLA RAZOR, W490 ITS A KRZR??? 😕 😕 SHE HAS THREE PHONES COMBINED INTO ONE!!! WOW!!!LMAO 😁 😁!!! CAN ANYONE TOP THAT???

AT&T WARRANTY QUESTION

I HAVE A BLACKBERRY 8310 AND ITS NOT CHARGING. IM STILL UNDER WARRANTY BUT I WAS WONDERING IF MY PHONE IS REALLY THE GREY ONE AND I TELL THE WAR PEOPLE IT IS RED...WILL THEY EVER KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?

Just Too Much

CUSTOMER CALLED AND STATED THAT SHE CALLED AND CHECKED HER MINUTES AND HAS USED 552 MINUTES OUT OF 600, AND ONLY HAS 8 MINUTES LEFT??? 😕 😕 UMMMMM....... SHE HAD ME THINKING I WAS DUMB FOR A MINUTE BECAUSE SHE INSISTED THAT SHE ONLY HAD 8 MINUTES WHEN SHE HAD 48 MINUTES LEFT!!! SHE ACTUALLY SAID SHE IS PULLING OUT THE CALCULATOR TO MAKE SURE THAT SHE WAS CORRECT AND I DIDNT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. AFTER SHE RELIZED THAT SHE ACTUALLY DID HAVE 48 MINUTES SHE FELT DUMB AND THEN SHE ASKED FOR MORE MINUTES!! WOW.....WE JUST GAVE U 200 BONUS MINUTES A MTH. AGO!! THIS IS THE LIFE OF THE SPOILED CUSTOMER WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH!!! 👿

Accessory Purchases

So.....it doesn't matter what the purchase is, I have to obtain a Name, Address, and Phone Number to log the sale under. Yes, I have a way to avoid this, but if we use it we get reprimanded. So, as bad as it sounds; Yes, I will forfeit the 7% profit i will make on selling a car charger to know I'll have my job tomorrow. But you refusing to give me information is retarded. So what, you're travelling. You're about to hand me a credit card to pay for the purchase. Either you give me your name and address, or when I look at your ID I'll get all the information I need from that, and I'll pick the phone up off the counter to make sure the charger works on the phone, and I'll get the mobile number off of it. The Economy is in for trouble...

I dont know about you but yanno the one thing that I absolutly hate??? is when your area manager calls you and asks how many phones the store pushed out for the month... Usually because of our location I would say normally High and good numbers but latelty our numbers have declined and declined further each month to now we are selling less than 20 units... the owner and area manager are flipping out (who can blame them) BUT WHAT I HATE is when they say YOU NEED TO SELL MORE UNITS... my response is usually "What do you want me to do hold a gun to their heads and force them to sign a contract". because the economy is the way its going I wonder how everyone else is doing in light of the economy?!

to the agents who are killing my commission (rant)

when a customer wants something special that we don't normally offer, DO NOT transfer them to the upgrade department. you think you're being smooth by cold transferring, thats fine. i will go in the notes and record your name. my upgrade department cannot work with prices so when i have a phone for 150 dollars with a 50.00 mail in rebate you shouldn't even think you should transfer to me when cust wants "buy one get one free"! i don't care how much the customer threatens to switch providers!! i can't change my prices! NEXT TIME CUST CARE AGENTS you should transfer to relations or retentions instead of hurting my pay.

Don't you just love those customers who will stand there and go on and on and on about the most mundane things when you have finished helping them? I just had a guy talking about his logging job...his education...his big fingers with a little phone...trying to convince me that we need to make a phone with bigger buttons thats more basic...that only young people use these highly confusing new phones...about his sister who has cell service with comcast...and more. My head actually hurts from nodding and smiling too much!
