I have a question for the class...

What are your thoughts on dating a customer?

I suppose I should give you some background...Customer came into my store a week ago and activated with me. Had a TON of issues with porting in his number, and over the course of the last week he's spent 8-10 hours in my store while I've been on the phone and such working his issue, so we've had plenty of time to chat. Similar interests, yadda yadda yadda...

Well, since I had to text him updates to his situation, we started chatting, and he's invited me out for a drink on Saturday. The question is, do I accept? This situation has never really happened with me, and I'm not quite sure how to approach it...any thoughts guys? Your help would be greatly appreciated! ๐Ÿ˜

another customer....

so i just had this customer come into the store, he was from ireland or scottland or something...well it went like this

C: hey i just bought this car charger 2 months ago and now its not working i want it exchanged

M: well i can only exchange them within 30days of buying it and you need the box and recipt

this guy starts to freak out and rand on how we dnot take care of him and use some profanity

so i offer to sell him a new one and that just pisses him off even more well my manager is hearing all this and comes out and asks if there is a problem and he starts the same crap well my boss states the same thing n this guy starts acting like he wants to fight my manager and he asks him to leave he doesn't of course so my boss tell m...

Ugh... general rant about stuff

Ok, I understand that the economy is in the gutter right now. I also understand that businesses need to be thrifty in order to survive. But there is a difference between thrifty spending, and being cheap.

For example, when you get rid of what I would call a critical position to the Call Center's day-to-day function just to save some money, and then shift all that persons responsibility to 2 other people that are already behind on their own work... well, that's just bad judgment.

The thing that kicks me in the balls, and I mean hard, is that the person who's making all these choices JUST GOT A LARGE RAISE IN PAY.

So why is it the lower people in the corporation have to take all the sh!t and garbage? We have to deal with the cutbac...

Long time!

Hey everyone! Been a *very* long time since I last posted here! Managed to escape this horrid industry a year ago last October. Went to an answering service. *Great* money and *so* much less stress! Totally recommend it! ๐Ÿ˜

Anyway, we mostly answer for oil field companies, but there are others, such as properties, medical firms and *shudder* law firms. It was in answering a call for one of the law firms that I had the honor of meeting the supreme high king of Canadaian *morons.*

Dude calls up, wants to know how to take a restraining order out of the *entire* population of Manitoba because someone from there was making comments about him ๐Ÿ˜ณ ๐Ÿคจ Yeah, wrap your head around *that* one.

Ok, scenario.

Customer has come up on our chat system twice already recently. He has been told by two other reps within the last week or so that we need him to send us a fax with specific information and that it must be sent from a BigPink retail store by a BigPink agent.

He responds with various reasons he can't send the fax. He's been living in another country, (says he was when he first placed the order but apparently he is back now.) He doesn't have a social security card, didn't have a US ID (despite the Passport number he put on the order) doesn't have any bills in his name (we have to have a utility bill from the last 30 days, we have a long list of things we can use for that) and can't get to a store. Here is me being stupid!

Why do they call it a QWERTY keyboard. All of the other possibilities like ASDFGH or ZXCVBN and they choose QWERTY why don't they just say, "Hey man this phone has a full keyboard" Then the customer (stupid as ussual) wouldn't say what's QWERTY

New Tower?

I'm hearing scattered reports from sources (random customers) that VZW has built a new tower in a neighboring town to where I live/work. This area has been a dead spot for service to all carriers until about 3-4 yrs ago when Cingular/ATT built a tower there. I am needing to find out if there is a way to find out online if the tower is in fact a VZ tower. The town is out of my way coming home, so I naturally don't get that way, and beings I'm basically working my store single handedly right now, I don't really get a break during the day to take a drive over there to find out for sure. I've called VZ regarding this, and they keep telling me no. I have had some customers report that their phones have been working a little better over there, but...

I get quite annoyed when you greet a customer and it goes a little something like this...

VZW Question for the Uber Geeks

I am getting more and more people coming in asking how they can keep people from reading their text messages online. They are hearing that it is possible and that their husband/wife/partner/whatever can do (or has been doing) this. I heave heard that you can, but it costs a couple hundred dollars.
My question: Is this even possible? I have been telling people not to worry that it's not possible. Am I misleading them? TPTB here claim it's not a possibility. Is there a site out there that these people are using? If so does anyone have any information on it?

Why do customers have to be so stupid?

Customer walks into store, starts browsing phones...

me: Hi, how's it going today?

Customer: good

me: Is there something I can help you find?

Customer: I'm just looking at phones, I want a different one. (Shows me a Samsung U340 which is in brand new condition. These are also currently free with 2-year activation.)

me: Oh ok, is something wrong with it?

Customer: No, I jsut got it the other day but I just want to get a different one.

me: oh ok. What's your phone number so I can take a look at your account?

Customer: ###-###-####.

me: Ok, yeah it looks like you just purchased your phone a few days ago. So, were you wanting to completely exchange the phone for a new model?

Customer: yes.

me: Ok, that will be...

Anybody have any ideas or pointers??

I currently have a website/blog that I am training people in the wireless industry with. I do have a section in the site where I can sell phones with new activations and upgrades. My sales have been a bit down lately so I was wondering if there is anyone out there that could check out my site and tell me what I am doing wrong. The site is www.onephoneperday.com. I just started it a couple of weeks ago so I am in the process of tweaking things. I would be open to any advice. Thanks!

Ok look if you are a sprint rep then get off your ass and do your job!!!!!!!! Now wait not every rep does this but for the some of you that do knock the sh!t off.
