I have a question for the class...
I suppose I should give you some background...Customer came into my store a week ago and activated with me. Had a TON of issues with porting in his number, and over the course of the last week he's spent 8-10 hours in my store while I've been on the phone and such working his issue, so we've had plenty of time to chat. Similar interests, yadda yadda yadda...
Well, since I had to text him updates to his situation, we started chatting, and he's invited me out for a drink on Saturday. The question is, do I accept? This situation has never really happened with me, and I'm not quite sure how to approach it...any thoughts guys? Your help would be greatly appreciated! ๐

C: hey i just bought this car charger 2 months ago and now its not working i want it exchanged
M: well i can only exchange them within 30days of buying it and you need the box and recipt
this guy starts to freak out and rand on how we dnot take care of him and use some profanity
so i offer to sell him a new one and that just pisses him off even more well my manager is hearing all this and comes out and asks if there is a problem and he starts the same crap well my boss states the same thing n this guy starts acting like he wants to fight my manager and he asks him to leave he doesn't of course so my boss tell m...

Ugh... general rant about stuff
For example, when you get rid of what I would call a critical position to the Call Center's day-to-day function just to save some money, and then shift all that persons responsibility to 2 other people that are already behind on their own work... well, that's just bad judgment.
The thing that kicks me in the balls, and I mean hard, is that the person who's making all these choices JUST GOT A LARGE RAISE IN PAY.
So why is it the lower people in the corporation have to take all the sh!t and garbage? We have to deal with the cutbac...

Long time!
Anyway, we mostly answer for oil field companies, but there are others, such as properties, medical firms and *shudder* law firms. It was in answering a call for one of the law firms that I had the honor of meeting the supreme high king of Canadaian *morons.*
Dude calls up, wants to know how to take a restraining order out of the *entire* population of Manitoba because someone from there was making comments about him ๐ณ ๐คจ Yeah, wrap your head around *that* one.

Should I have called?
Customer has come up on our chat system twice already recently. He has been told by two other reps within the last week or so that we need him to send us a fax with specific information and that it must be sent from a BigPink retail store by a BigPink agent.
He responds with various reasons he can't send the fax. He's been living in another country, (says he was when he first placed the order but apparently he is back now.) He doesn't have a social security card, didn't have a US ID (despite the Passport number he put on the order) doesn't have any bills in his name (we have to have a utility bill from the last 30 days, we have a long list of things we can use for that) and can't get to a store. My question: Is this even possible? I have been telling people not to worry that it's not possible. Am I misleading them? TPTB here claim it's not a possibility. Is there a site out there that these people are using? If so does anyone have any information on it?

me: Ok, yeah it looks like you just purchased your phone a few days ago. So, were you wanting to completely exchange the phone for a new model?
