Shop Talk
Apparently I'm rude?
A customer walks up. They ask me, "Do you know where the T Mobile store is in this mall?"
I say, "Where did you go to school?"
Customer says, "What does that have to do with where the store is?"
I say, "It doesn't. It has to do with your level of literacy."
Customer gives me blank look.
I state, "The sign (I point towards sign) says Verizon Wireless, does it not?"
Customer still gives me blank look.
I restate, "Does this sign say Sprint?"
Still looking blank at me.
I say, "Does my nametag say, "Hi, my name is Shane, I work for Verizon, but I'd love you help you with your Sprint phone?"
Still looking blank at me.
"If you're interested in switching phone companies, or yo...

Can't I add myself to the account?
If you can't make any changes to the account in the first place then what the hell makes you think you can add yourself and then by some form of spectacular wireless world magic make changes to the account. This is why I have very little faith left in humanity.
wow....
stoopid
I say, "OK since we don't have you on file here, I am going to need the last 4 of your tax ID, and will need the whole thing here in a minute to make any changes to your account."
He says " Oh, my boss called in last night and said you could just do it real quick"
I say "She didn't call into our store and I would need the tax ID anyways to even look at your account."
He says "My boss gave me the password. Is that good enough?"
I say "Well, we'll need that but i still need the tax ID...

Customers are oh so smart compared to a tech right? NOT!
Me okay what’s going on with the phone, what’s not working?
Customer: it won’t charge (customer now shows me where she is putting the charger)
Me: that’s not the charging port that would be the memory card port
Customer: no you’re wrong I have been charging it there for the past year
(Okay now I’m ready to just tell her she’s is ****ing wrong and deal, are you ****ing st...

HELP ME!!!
What's the proper response here?
Question: How much will that hold?
This is akin to the question, "How far away is that?" After telling someone the gas station is a mile down the road.
Is it appropriate to respond to the first question with, "1,024 MB," or "1,048,576 KB." The response most customers seem to be looking for is something along the lines of, "250 songs..... assuming the songs are 4 minutes in length and encoded at 128 kbps in standard MP3 formatting."
I believe GB should be enough of a defining term, since it is a standard unit of measure. We don't break down how far a mile is into feet for someone without looking at them like a moron first, so why should we have to break down data storage ...

I don't normally post in Shop Talk but
Walked in at 1 PM to a waiting custy with phonebook problems in the handset, then it just compounded from there.
Porting a Sprint # that just doesn't want to port...then 2 small carrier ports were successful when I knew for sure they would fail. And the chick that opened hadn't done the inventory count so I ended up doing it at 4 PM. The cust serv rep couldn't fight her way out of a wet paper bag and couldn't process an exchange to save her own life.
Thank gawd it's slowed down so I can breathe.
At least I hit over 100% today!
I'll go back to the lounge now.
stupidest customer ever!!!!!
I just had a customer who called in to ask how many minutes he has left in his simply everything plan. What i wanted to tell his was that he had only 1 minute left and he had just used it talking to me but of course since i am customer care i had to nicely tell him that there is no overage with the plan.
But.. I've been with you for this long!!!
When we have given you two payment arrangements for a past due balance, based on a promise to pay within the past 12 days, and you have broken both promises, then I dont care how long you've been with us. You wont be getting another one. 😛
Aircard comparison site?
Do you deal with Sprint phones here?
I have this customer....
Sprint CSAT?
If so, I have some questions that arose from my curiosity:
1) Will this be true for retail store reps?
a) If so, how in the hell would that be tracked? Customer surveys or something? NPS scores?
2) Any idea how it would pay out?
Thanks.
LG Vu
