Let's Make A Deal!

M: I'm sorry, sir. I cannot adjust your prorated charge of $99.99 for our new Simply Everything plan. According to my notes you specifically asked us to backdate the plan for you, and you were also made aware that doing so would result in the current charge you are disputing now.

C: You're not listening. I wasn't told about the charge. I don't care what your notes tell you. I wasn't made aware, so I'm not paying.

M: Ok, sir. I can compromise with you. I would be willing to credit this charge back, if you would be willing to accept the charges for overage minutes you would have incurred under your old plan for this time period.

C: A'ight. Let's do that.

M: Ok, sir. So I have applied the $99.99 credit. You now owe us $3465.00 in ov...

Re: Ensemble in retail.. did you know (care, read this!)

Everyone who works in care.. did you know we cannot even do these simple tasks in RMS if an account is in ensemble?

*Look at the equipment history
*See the amount due, and amount past due (there is a drop down box, that if in P2K, shows this month, last month, and any prior months, in ensemble, the box just shows a total)
*See amounts paid vs. amounts owed (many times, in the "billing history", it will show the bill amount as 0, and all payments show a cumulative total, so according to that screen, the customer has like 1276.00 credit balance)
*Add a walk in iden phone (when I enter the sim card manually, it says that is not a valid sim number, if I can scan a barcode, its fine)

These are just a few of the issues, Im sure there are...

I just want two new phones...

Order for about $700 worth of hardware.

I ask the customer if he has service currently or in the past.

Customer says "yes."

I say "Currently? Or in the past."

"Currently but I lost it, I'm trying to replace it."

I explain that our system is for new activations and if I complete this order the customer will have a total of 4 lines of service instead of 2. I explain this at least 5 times in a minimum of 3 different ways. Customer still insists that she wants to set up 2 new lines.

Why, you may ask, did he want to set up two new lines? He said he had called care and they wouldn't do it as he had a password on his account and he could not verify it. So he was just going to add two lines.

So now I have to tell him that we...

Satisfied by the Palm Centro....Sprint

So. I just got the Centro through sprint about a month ago. Ive been working at sprint for a while as sales and repair. Before that i worked at AT&T (when it was cingular) as a business account manager.

In the past PDA's were the most annoying phones to work with for me and from working with business accounts i had PDA's coming out the ears!

I hated them. so much. Battery hogs, Slow performance if you have no memory card or even a half full 1GB card, Bulky, Inefficient user interface, unable to imsure them, all sorts of things.

The MotoQ was by far the worst i think. The Treo 650 came in close second. Blackberrys were good phones, but the Data Plan for them was usually expensive. And so when i needed a new phone (i had the blackber...

Sprint Employees

Did anyone hear about Sprint cutting full time hours to the times they really need you?

My super went to a meeting yesterday about it. They're basically going to cut hours but still let people have their full benefits. Basically if your store is slow all day and the peak hours are 5-930 they have every right to make you come in for those hours only. He said he had to sign a bunch of paperwork, because when we were hired we were hired under 40 hours worked so look out for that.

Bad Co-workers

Do your co-workers spill stuff in your break room and not clean up after themselves? I have a co-worker that likes to drop chip crumbs on the floor and not clean them up. We work in a store where the closer does all the cleaning and since I usually close I find it to be very rude to not even attempt to clean up her mess. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ

Kudos to CARE today (long.....)

One of my favorite things to read is the ridiculous strings of remarks that are left in the wake of an escalation.

1)I read this remark on somebody's account today that stated "customer escalated that his lines reconnected without his AUTHORIZATION after he paid his past due amount. Informed customer that they were out of service for NON-PAYMENT, not voluntary suspension. The lines automatically reconnect after paying the past due, customer is aware of reconnect fees."

I laughed, snickered, and smiled. You mean all this time the customer thought he didn't have service because he suspended the lines himself? NO, they suspended because he didn't pay the bill. Funny. I love it when people go on power trips, escalate, and lose.

2) Som...

My management is freakin weird.

One of our higher ups just came into our bay, did a cartwheel down the bay, then walked out like nothing ever happened. The 4 of us in the bay just looked at each other when he left.

Sure you are.

Ok, so in keeping with the "God Hates Niki" theme for today I have gotten every freaking nut-job to call in. Every lunatic and person with no cognitive reasoning abilities... all of them call me.

This one took the cake.

Guy rambles about the problem's he's had with a store and warranty (neither of which I can do a THING about) for a good hour.

In the process of using the most profane language he can without actually swearing (like super graphic but never used a real curse word so it was hard to call him on it.) of ranting about this store he proceeds to tell me he is the following (often in the same sentence) ๐Ÿคจ

Banker (Bank Officer of a $26 billion bank)

Realtor

Lawyer (Who is on the bar in California but lives in Tex...

K-9 Attack Dogs...Patrolling at My Mall....?!?!

Where do I live again??

This is Nuts and I will post pictures tonight when I'm off work.

Yesterday, Simon Properties (owns the Mall) displayed their private security firm from Chicago who patrols the mall now with K-9 Attack Dogs??????????????

WTF!

Unbelievable.....

I do not think I will be able to keep my job now as my moral insticts kick in.

I will be passing out fliers to all mall employees and customers over the next few days informing them of this danger.

Isn't this Entrapment?

Weren't K-9 Dogs introduced by the Nazis?

Is this 1984?

Or is this AMERICA, the Land of the Free?

Mid-cycle plan changes, and minutes

So this is one of my least favorite kind of calls:

cust: how many minutes i use?
me: sorry, but due to a recent plan change, I'm unable to view your usage.
cust: but you chargin' me for it.
me: i can see that there are some overage charges for the minutes adding up on the account.
cust: so how you can't tell me how many i used but you can charge me.
me: erm..uh...erm...

I work for sprint, and I've talked to some friends who work for Att, and they have the same thing. Is this something that happens at other companies? What is it that makes it so darn hard for a computer to add up the minutes, pro-rate the plan, and display the results to me? I've had 3 of these calls in 2 hours and i just needed to vent.

But.. but.. I've had it before!!!

Well. I'm glad you've had it before. That's why it's a curtesy. Just because you are given one in the past, does not mean you will get one every time you call in. Take responsiblity..

Jeez. We gave the lady an extension last week to pay today and restored her service. She calls today, stating she can't pay and needs until Friday. I edu her that she can only have 1 every 30 days and that we could not give another, since the original arrangement was not lived up to...

Yet somehow we're in the wrong? pfft. Get a life lady. Go ahead and cancel your 3 lines. your 2 months past due and broke your arrangement, dont cry because you dont get another extension, when our original good faith in you didn't pan out. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I really hate that line '...

Not Off To A Good Start

So I get up at 7, I was up at 4 yesterday morning and spent 6 hours driving so that we could spend 5 hours crawling around a marble quarry and fossil bed (my geology class trip) I got to drive b/c my car gets better gas mileage. I got home and had dinner and tried to watch a movie with my boyfriend and slept through it, went to bed early, work up crabby and tired still... and sore (all the climbing.)

That wasn't the first time I woke up. The first time as at about 4 in the morning when I woke up in a cold sweat from a nightmare. I never have nightmares.

Went to take a shower, noticed the shower head was dripping, reached up to tighten it and BAM it exploded in my hand (no like serious physical damage but the head is totally destroy...

*77 (important)

I knew about the red light on cars, but not the *77. It was about 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren's parents have always told her never to pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc.

Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called *77 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop

behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't,...

CARE, do I look like an operator to you?

My phone rang and I picked it up. I said my opening spill. Then...

"This is ____ from Customer Care department. Is there any possibility you can transfer me over to Finance Department?"

Do I look like someone from Transfer department? Do I look like an operator? well, maybe she doesn't know what I look like but still, we're in telesales. Aren't people from Care suppose to have full outdial list of every existing department there is?

Gosh! She just ruined my unit conversion and I'm already struggling as it is.
