Wonderful customers....

Customer comes in. She adamantly wanted a PDA last night. Decided on a Curve. It was a prepaid to postpaid. Advised her that it does take up to two hours for the conversion to finish. She apparently has issues with the phone in the 10 hrs that she had it and went into another store. the rep there told her that i messed her account up BEYOND REPAIR and she needed to just walk in return the phone and buy one from him. HAHA.

Welcome to un-necessary churn. I mean really. If you were going to sell her a phone you had the chance every time she came in to replenish her prepaid phone. Don't be mad because i did......So i went over the phone with her and she ended up getting a different phone....but guess what. She did not come back to YOU! Gee...

Don't call on broken phone

I work for the insurance company for sprint and it annoys me when a customer calls us on their damaged phones and then get mad at us because we can't understand or hear them.

BOB gets to Prison

“I’M ESCALATING!!” screamed Bob at the top of his lungs as he was driven in the back of the squad car to the police station. “Oh I’m sure you are buddy.” said the first cop. “You can escalate all the way to the top. You’re still going behind bars. Do you even know what ‘Public Disturbance and Exposure’ is?” the second cop asked. “I don’t have time to remember all these nonsensical laws!” asserted Bob. “Do you know who I am? I’m the CEO of Noodles of Oodles, and the American Consumer! I should be held responsible to laws that I don’t know!” The cops looked at each other and began to laugh. “Ignorance of the law is no excuse my friend.ââ...

d-bag

So we just got a new assistant manager...after not having one for a while. The mall store was the "cool" store to work in, now...it's pretty $hitty. This guy is all by the book and what not and totally ruining the vibe. We may not have been perfect, but our numbers are awesome, and this guy is just gonna piss me off...I was second in command next to the manager and I just got bumped for this d-bag. Anyone ever have a goodie 2 shoes come in and ruin your work place? 🤨

PRL's (CDMA)

so I've notice someting regarding PRL's. Signal is great in my store, and whenever we activate a FRU or a new phone, the "default" prl inside it (although roaming) shows a stronger signal than after it downloads the current one. I've been told that the default will latch to a CDMA tower regardless of the provider. any truth to this?

Second question: Is there a way to get a Sprint, or a Qwest or any other CDMA provider's PRL list downloaded to another providers phone. Let's just assume that Company A gets a low signal where company B's somewhat more coherant. Since the customer's phone is Company A, it's going to grab for that tower. Now, can I force-feed a differnt prl that will grab Company B's instead.

Reason: Where I live Qwest ha...

Laws of Customers

Here's mine. Feel free to add to the list:

1. 100% of people lie. 100% of customers are people.

2. Customers are incapable of reading...anything.

3. If a we dont carry a phone anymore or its with another company, they want it.

4. Customers will not listen to whatever answer you just gave them for their question.

5. A customer is NOT entitled to a new phone every 6 months...free. (see Law 1)

6. There are no well-mannered children that will enter your location.

7. The worse they smell, the longer they linger.

8. A customer will not let you know they are wasting your time until its too late.

9.If its an impossibility to preform a service, someone at your location "does it all the time for me".

10. They always saw i...

Callbacks?

Any call center reps have to do an insane amount of callbacks for "any issue not resolved when the call ends?" (device exchange, outage of any kind, network ticket, contact their IT dept, not convenient, etc.) ANY F'N THING that is not resolved the way the customer wants it to be, we have to call them back, essentially until it is (unless they don't answer after 2 attempts to reach them) Granted, on a good day, I might have 1 or 2 callbacks to do the next day or whenever, but if there is an sms, data, or god forbid a blackberry outage, I've had up to 17 callbacks to do the next day. Any other company go to insane crazy lengths like this? (I'm w/ Sprint, btw)

To All At&t Warranty Reps...

...if you are regular warranty (not BMG or HED), and you get a cust who belongs to one of those 2 groups and you know you're going to transfer to BMG or HED, PLEASE do NOT get their IMEI and check LDI/Leads or do any TS! Please! Because we cannot go off of your notes! We HAVE to do all of that stuff ON OUR CALL, and all it is doing is pissing people off to have to repeat it!

Thank you. That is all.

Is this just me or...

...does this not bother you? Kinda long...

This customer came in looking for bluetooths. Okay. Showed him several, tried a few...Then he asks me about a curve. Explain to him the features and how we could bundle accessories with it for him. This goes on for an hour and a half. He then tells me he's going to pick his kid up and come back. 5 minutes after he leaves, he texts my business line to say thanks for your patience...I know then he isn't coming back. Then, he texts me that I am nice and very beautiful...WTF!!! Thanks for the compliment dude, but they have places for you to go if you wanna look at pretty girls. I actually want to do BUSINESS, not deal with bullsh*t. And please don't come back.

Think You Can Sell....Oh I bet You Can, (Yea, You!)

This is for all those sales people out there who think, claim or act like they are sooo great at their job that they can sell to anyone.

Let's Be Clear.

Just because you have high numbers of new activations, upgrades, features etc. Does NOT mean you are a good sales person.

Odds are, You are a Low-Budget, Used Car Sales-type who takes advantage of people to get the sale. You lie, cheat, and coherse your customers into whatever is best for you.

Most people who are high in sales, are in fact, NUMBER ONE IN RETURNS. Most of your sales are brought back and an actual sales person like myself has to deal with the customer when they come back and feel like they were taken advantage of.

It's actually really easy to see and figure o...

I don't see it here...

A customer walks in the door, looks at my wall of phones, and says to me, "A while ago I had a small little phone I really liked, but I lost it at the airport. I don't see it here, do you?"

Verizon starts lay offs

😕 Verizon wireless started company lay offs of long time employees this week. This after spending tens of thousands of dollars for an employee kick off meeting where Altel employees joined Verizon employees for an annual employee celebration for the upcoming year. What a joke... Verizon has invited their store managers across the country to a luxurious hotel next week on the company, paid mileage, and travel as well as hotel and meals. Verizon also claims to be Working Mothers Magazine's top 10 places to work, yea conveniently they have never ever called me to ask how they make me feel.

What hurts more is Verizon wireless promised us jobs even after Circuit City reported to be closing all locations and told employees business as usual. W...

Yeah, sure... ok boss!

So yeah, my boss wants this store to do at least 10 phones today, "no exceptions".. uh huh,he's dreaming...

This store (before I started here when I was in training) couldn't even do 10 phones on Black Friday.

This store has a proven track record: It's even more of a loser than I am! 🤣 (just kidding)

I don't think this store's done 10 phones in one day since sometime 3 years ago...

*sigh* ☹️

Next person who asks me where the Food Court is, I swear...

I'll say "This IS the food court!"

And then I'm gonna buy food from there and then sell it here for 3 times as much!
