What an idiot

Me = VZW retailer.

Guy comes in with an AT&T Blackberry curve and is complaining that he can't access is Mac Mobile Me account.

1. I know nothing of Mac products. I'm a PC guy.
2. I have never used an AT&T Blackberry. I don't know how they have their services set up.

I explain to the customer that I know nothing of either service and will not be able to troubleshoot his device. I suggest he visit the ATT store of call care as they may be able to walk him through his problem.

He gets all ticked off and says "Well I'm here, so you should learn the ATT Blackberry so I don't have to waste my time going somewhere else. All cell phones are the same! Just take it and fix it!"

this sucks!

today sucks...its slow as all hell, i feel like **** and the day couldnt get any slower.
...sometimes i wish we had a cot in our back room so i could just cuddle up and fall asleep til it was time to go home, haha!

The day turned on a dime

The morning went well. Got a few contracts. Several accessories.

A guy comes in asking to exchange a headset he didn't buy from my company. It was broken. I offered him a great deal on a replacement. The threw a fit and started screaming about customer service.

Next guy comes in claiming that corporate is going to give him 2 free storms and extra accessories free as well (not just the ones included with the phone). He want the car charger, case, and bluetooth for free. First off, even with a $100 NE2 credit, you won't get 2 free storms. Second...screw that on the accessories. I said I would do both phones for $100 out the door and I could do a small discount on accessories. He stormed out calling me names.

saturday grumbles

So to start with I am not even supposed to be here today. I spilled my coffee opening and when my honey came by to drop off the replacement he dropped it in the parking lot but I digress. Anyway post crisis I had a customer come in with a blackberry case in hand. I expected maybe some ts or account review. Instead he tells me he wants to exchange it because it doesn't fit his phone. So once I got over my shock that he has a z9 in a bold case we looked for solutions. That's when he violated my bubble.usually no big deal I just step back and I would normally brush it off but for the remainder of the transaction he wouldn't give me any personal space. Today

Guy comes in: "I need to change some crap on my sweet plan"
I says: "ok let me look up your account"
Guy: "Sweet I need to change the rate and get a new smart phone thing"
I says: "Nice, can I see your ID?"
Guy says: "Oh I don't have it"
I says: "well I can't upgrade you if you don't have ID"
Guy pulls out wallet with his ID
I says: "oh this isn't the name on the account, I'm I'm sorry I can't help you"

This lady I have now is a SPEED TALKER. I've been on this call for 6 minutes now and I've said 5 words in addition to my opening. and she's literally been talking the ENTIRE time.

WTF!

Lady called in requesting a refund for the last yr worth of service ๐Ÿคฃ

apparently she moved to a new address and started up new service and never canceled the old address

custie in cali.. its not uncommon for custies to have a lake/vacation home

no notes to say she had requested it to be canceled.

both accounts had tv internet and phone
different number, different equipment

both accounts were auto drafted to the same bank account

for 200$ a month...Each ๐Ÿ˜ณ

she just noticed it now after a year ๐Ÿคจ

Indirect VZW problem

Ok, I need suggestions. I have a new coworker who has 2 existing lines. One is out of contract and one was just upgraded before she started here. We have access to a cheap employee plan. She would like to use the phone number that was just renewed on the cheap agent line. Here's the problem: agent lines dont have a contract, so if she moved her number onto that cheap plan, shed have to pay a termination fee on a contract she just started. Does anyone know a way around this that lets her keep her number on the new agent plan without a term fee?


If i decribed this incorrectly, let me know if you need more info.

PS. cant cancel her recent upgrade, its over 30 days.

SERIOUSLY?!

I can't until we get some effing SIGNS in our SPRINT parking lot that say "Only Sprint and Starbucks customers may park here. If you have no busisness at either establishment, and you are parked in any of the spaces here, you will be promptly towed."

Work Sucks

Saturday i had larangitus (spelling?) and was told several times by customers i sounded like Mickey Mouse on steroids lol. But so many people had called off they started telling people if they called off or left they would get a 30 day corrective action 'layoff' so i had no choice but to stay โ˜น๏ธ

Now today im recovering i can talk, just raspy sounding and i have to push everything out which is making my throat hurt. I hate getting sick like this and unable to miss time, atleast i know we have work that its so busy people are getting 30 day layoffs for not coming in...thats good, right?

The back story I have just moved locations and yesterday a customer came in that exchanged to the rugby came in. No big deal I thought we went over settings and changed the displays till he was happy. Or so I thought than he asked the question of doom how to change the display on the front screen to always on? We went over pressing the side key to turn the display on to check time. Not an ok fix ...so after reading the manual,a trip through our tech site, a call to customer care, an email to samsung, and much head scratching I thought I would ask y'all. I am 98% sure that it can't be done but I could just be a dumbmonkey!

need help maybe wrong forum but......

has any one worked for Cellular Sales? or heard of them.
(short story is i may be looking for work by end of april, with vz union and I being a contractor, i get the short end of the stick {maybe})
i read thier site, the are commision only highest paid in te industry ( never done commish w\o base pay). so i am semi reluctant to try that ( but my numbers a consistently great)
So what do you guys think?

My first rant on shop talk

so this is a normal issue with my store, we dont keep accessories for old phones in our store, so this arzz comes in asking for a battery for his Moto w315, i first looked in a drawer were we somtimes have found phones and acc, that we will give to a customer if there in need, i didnt find one, so i tell him i could order him one and he gose into a rant about waiting at the retail store for 30min and they didnt have one and i have to order one and how f'd up it is we dont have it! people need to get a f'n grip

so my manager and i were the only two working in the store today, he is with some guy who's bitching about his env2 and these 4 wigger kids walk up to our door and storm inside the store...and....
(me- m ; wigger- w)

m- hi, how can i help you?

w- yeah, you better. we called up here and sum chick said you had the battery for my phone and you could bluetooth it with this other phone to get my **** off it. its dead and wont charge.

...wigger shows me his phones; they are a 2nd generation chocolate and some cheap old LG something or another

m- we only carry the batteries for the choc. 3 and i think you called a corporate store because we never got any calls about a battery for either phones
