Re: Will be purchasing Sprint Pre soon and I have some questions???
1) Yes
2) a tiny wiggle but still feels very solid - hardly noticeable.
Re: Just switched to Sprint and bought the Pre! Questions!
in regards to the facebook - no way to pick contacts to import. as for gmail - try putting the contacts you want imported to your phone under the "my contacts" group in the gmail contacts tab. some people have said this works. if you want to make your own ringtones, try http://ringtonemaker.com. love the phone!
Re: Is Sprint really that bad???
Our family just made the switch from Verizon. I've been with Verizon for 10 yrs or so and have had outstanding service. I made the switch to Sprint because of their affordable plans. So far I am pretty happy with their phone and internet service, their customer service, and their affordability.
My advice would be to give Sprint a try without porting your old number over and using a dummy number. This way, you can try ...
Push vs. Pull for 5 - 10 emails a day
I currently have my email set to pull with it checking the server every one hour. If I only receive 5 - 10 emails a day (if that), would having my email pushed save battery?
Re: Hero over Pre?
Have been a pre user for a couple of weeks and love it! The keyboard isn't and issue since I came from the smaller centro keyboard. I need a physical keyboard. I tried the hero tonight and liked it in landscape, but typing events in only works in portrait mode. It was way cramped...just made too many mistakes. I thought about the hero before I bought my pre but after messing with the keyboard I think I'll stick ...

Treo 650 question
I just ordered my Treo 650 tonight: 6-15-06. Do I need to download and install any updates, eg. Treo 650 Updater 1.04, via palm.com? Or should the phone have all of these updates? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Does anyone know where to get an inexpensive 512 or 1 gig mini sd card? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Re: Are they kidding?
Here you are again...BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. Dude, nobody is taking you and your propaganda talk seriously. So do us all a favor and join the crickets because nobody wants to hear your "recockulous" a$$.
Re: Are they kidding?
Yeah, your bad. Now if you read my post correctly, ZOLTAR, they said the only way to purchase the 9800 with any kind of deal or discount IN-STORE was to purchase it with the accessory pack. I never said they "made me" do anything. Did I ever mention I bought the phone? No. Get your facts straight and your eyeglass prescription fixed before you start yapping away. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Re: Are they kidding?
So what do I tell the verizon store that's making me buy the accessory pack?
Are they kidding?
I saw the 9800 online on the verizon website for $150. When I went to the store to purchase it, they said that the phone costs $269!! I told them about the online deal and they said that they would check, acting as if they didn't believe me. They then told me that the phone would now cost $219!!! They told me I had to buy the accessory pack which was an additional $79. I asked if I "had" ...

Will a bluetooth headset work with the mp3 player?
Or do you have to use a wired headset to listen to music?
Re: 512mb Mini SD card $37.99 free shipping on Buy.com
Will the player hold 1GB? If not, I will buy the 512...great deal!!

Re: Scala and Logitech
I have the Scala and it has the option to transfer calls. I use it whenever I'm in the car and it's great. Clarity is nice on both ends, although it will start to get staticky about 20ft from phone. It fits comfortably and stays on my ear, not like the motos I've tried. The only thing that stinks is the useless holster, but with the Scala being so inexpensive, you can afford to buy ...
Re: ATTENTION: Cellular Geniuses
HA! Nice one Mary!
Re: BEST BLUETOOTH DEVICE-WIRELESS HEADSET
I have the Scala and people think I'm still on the 8100. The only one who has a problem hearing ambient noise is a friend who's talking to me from an 8100 as well. And for those who have a problem fitting the Scala, go to the Cardo website and they will show you how to fit it to your ear.
Re: Hey Phonefetish
Thanks phonefetish! Solid review. I'm definitely keeping mine too!
Hey Phonefetish
Have you tried your scala yet? Just curious.
Re: BT HS850 and echo :(
I'm using the Scala 500. No echo complaints from the other end or mine. Love it.
Re: BT Headset Update - Scala 500
I bought the Scala last week and am very pleased with it. I bought the Jabra 250v and the Moto hs820 and 850 as well. The Scala has proven(to me at least) to be the best on by far.
All of the others had static and didn't right on the ear. I had to pick them up off of the passenger seat whenever I turned my head. The scala has a bendable earpiece which ...
Re: Anyone been able to find a nice case for this phone??
There is a company called bytech that makes sweet cases, but they haven't made one yet for the 8100. They fit like a glove and they don't make the phone bulky.
Re: Have you received the scala 500 yet?
Everyone I've spoken to through my scala and 8100 don't think I'm on a bluetooth, but on the actual phone. But I do have one friend who can't understand me at all when I'm on it, but she's talking on an 8100 too. I'm interested to hear your experiences.
Have you received the scala 500 yet?
I don't remember who was going to give their final review on moto, jabra, and scala headsets, but I'm wondering if this person has recieved the scala yet. I'm curious to see what they have to say about it and how it works with their 8100.
Updates
How do we find out or how are we informed about software updates? Should I just keep checking the forum, does verizon send out emails, etc.? Thanks.
Bluetooth and battery question
I have a bluetooth headset and have my phone's bluetooth setting to 'on'. When I have my headset on, the little bt icon on the phone turns blue. That's fine. When I turn my bt headset off, the icon turns white showing that it is not connected anymore, but the icon is still there. Should I turn my phone's bt setting to 'off' so the icon disappears? Am I draining the phone's battery by ...
Charging question
I like to charge my phone every night, even if I lose 1 bar. Should I not be doing this and should I wait until the battery is low. And does it ruin the battery if I unplug it before it is fully recharged? I don't want to screw up the battery on this 8100. Thanks.
Re: Please advise me on a headset.
I have the Cardo Scala 500 and it works great. I tried the motorolas and the jabra 250 and the Scala is the best one by far. It is small, very clear, loud, range is good, and it fits great (go to Cardowireless.com to get instructions for best fit). The motos didn't fit right and the jabra is great, but waaaaay too big for me. Check out other user reviews of this headset on cnet.com, ...
Re: Which bluetooth headset is best?
Have had the Scala for 24 hours now and made several phone calls. Reception and clarity have been excellent on both ends. Range has been fine - 20 to 25 ft before I encountered some static. The fit is great...you have to bend the earpiece and let it snap back to get a contoured fit. They explain it better on their website, cardowireless.com.
Overall, very pleased. Like it better than the others I've ...
Re: Which bluetooth headset is best?
Can you please post the link? Thanks.
Re: Which bluetooth headset is best?
Just got the Cardo Scala 500 today. It is clear, small, fits nicely, and is easy to use. Good user reviews from cnet.com and epinions.com.
Re: Motorola or Jabra (or other) Bluetooth Headset?
I just picked up the Cardo Scala 500 and it works great! It's loud, clear, and it fits really well, not like the motorolas. The Jabra fit kind of funny too when I tried it on. It got pretty good user reviews as well on epinions.com and cnet.com. Check them out.
Re: Cardo Scala 500 BT heaset
I'll pick it up tomorrow!
Cardo Scala 500 BT heaset
Is anyone using the Cardo Scala 500 bluetooth headset with their 8100 or other cellphone? I like the headset and am thinking about buying one for my 8100. Thanks in advance for your replies.
Re: MP3 Player Buttons
Yeah, me too! I posted something yesterday and nobody replied :(
Re: 8100 = Junk?
Great post!
