Droid X
Heard that there are some problems with apps from the droid market not being compatible with the droid X, any truth to this? If so, what percentage?
Re: Verizon Wireless Network Extender
you do realize that no one gets good service in a basement. I mean, you're underground!
do you really think that a cell signal will be able to reach you?
Re: the truth about at&t's new data plans
thank you! I'm an at&t rep, and I couldn't have put it better myself
Re: IPHONE 4 and LIMITED data
you do know that at&t did an audit and found that 98% of all smartphone users do not use more than 2gb of data.
the mythic is not a smartphone, there is not way in hell that you can use more than 2gb of data.
would you rather pay $25 for 2gb of data and use wi-fi to free up some of that space, or pay $30 for an unlimited amount when you're only using between 200mb and 2gb?
I'd go with ...
Re: Ten Keys to Being Happy with Your Service Provider...
that doesn't sound cynical, that sounds pessamistic.
Re: Ten Keys to Being Happy with your Service Provider
not saying that sprint customer service doesn't suck, but if you're so unhappy with them, leave.
When I said "wait it out", i said wait out your contract. Just suck it up.
also, the reps are people. they respect you as a customer and you should respect them. You catch more bees with hunny than vinager.
Re: Ten Keys to Being Happy with your Service Provider
thank you very much!
Re: Ten Keys to Being Happy with your Service Provider

Re: Ten Keys to Being Happy with Your Service Provider...
I posted that on all major cell providers so all can see. I don't need your trolling, no matter how comical it is.
Ten Keys to being Happy with your Service Provider
1. Check your bill EVERY month and make sure you understand every single charge on it, even if it doesn't change month to month.
2. Understand that YOU are responsible for keeping track of your usage (voice, internet, texting, etc). Your provider is not going to hold your hand when it gives you many options to do it yourself.
3. If you have a problem with your phone, do NOT call for support while talking on it! Make sure ...

Re: iPhone without data plan
why would you want a smartphone that uses the internet and email...and not use it the way it was designed??
that's like buying a hammer, and using it as a paper weight! it works, but why use a hammer for a paper weight when i can use an actual paper weight?
if you get an internet/smartphone and don't want internet, then you don't need that phone. get a basic phone or a messaging phone if that's all you need ...
Re: MP3s as Ringtones
I actually plan on geting an Alias2
MP3s as Ringtones
I've posted this a couple places elsewere, but with no answers. I just want to know if Verizon allows MP3s, from my SD card, to be played on their phones as a ringtone. I'm former Alltel customer and Alltel never let this happen due to some stupid "anti-piracy" policy.
So can anyone help me out?
MP3s as Ringtones
I used to have Alltel before Verizon bought them. With Alltel, you could not have mp3s from your SD card as ringtones because of some stupid anti-piracy crap.
With Verizon, if I put my SD card in a new phone (with mp3s from CDs I bought) will I be able to put a select mp3 from my card as a ringtone on the phone?

Questions About the Delv
I just got this phone used from ebay and I had a few questions the user manual can't answer for me.
How do I change the name of the phone? Like, when i bluetooth it, it comes up with the name "Christy", how do I change that?
Also, why i sthe phone not seeing the pictures that are on my SD Card? I put my card in my other phone and everything comes up. But when I put ...
Re: Why cant i use custom ringtones???
I also would like to know this. I have a few songs I would LOVE to have as ringtones
Re: The state of the union
O.O wow, and I thought it was just AT&T that had the nutjobs
Re: Exception upgrade?
yes, unless you have absolutely no way to replace your phone, if it's broken or whatnot, then we will NOT give you an early upgrade.
If you're wanting a new phone for the sake of getting a new phone, then you are gauranteed to not get an early upgrade.
Re: "Unable to charge"
it's probably a problem with the battery, I would take it to a COR store to get it fixed
Alltel discontinued rokr?!
Any insite on why Alltel decided to discontinue the z6m ROKR?
Just kinda figures with my luck that as soon as I can upgrade to a phone I want, they don't have any new ones. Oh, well. guess I will just stick with getting a referbished model.
But really, if anyone could shed some light on why Alltel did this with such a popular phone please tell me.
Re: Motorola z6m ROKR
I found that this is not true. I went to a COR store and asked this same question. They said that it wouldn't be an upgrade, I'd just buy it at the retail value which is actually the upgrade price. But they ARE willing to sell it to me if I ask for it.
Re: What's The Deal (Txt Messaging)
Nope, sadly there is no plan for you, well for what you want anyway.
the only regular text plans that AT&T offers are:
$5/month for 200 msgs
$15/month for 1500 msgs
$20/month for unlimited msgs
If you are wanting something inbetween for a Blackberry, I suggest going to the website and emailing the Customer Service Pres or VP and give them a suggestion on offering something between 200 and 1500 msgs.
Re: Walmart Selling a 4gb 3G Iphone??
The 3g iPhone is only available on the AT&T Mobility website, at an AT&T COR Store or at an Apple COR Store.
Re: 3G Iphone Question
As far as I know, the iPhone is not eligible to be a prepaid phone just because of the data plan and the special "iPhone SIM". So sorry, you're out of luck on that part.
Motorola z6m ROKR
Since Alltel is no longer offering the ROKR, the only phone I want from Alltel, would it be possible to upgrade to a referbished phone if my local Alltel COR store has one?
Re: Rounding minutes up on bill
if you're talking for more than 30 seconds then it's going to round up to the next minute. for example, if you talk for a minute and 45 seconds, then it's going to round up to 2 mins., and so on in that fasion.
Otherwise it look like you're reading your minutes wrong.
Re: Activate 2G iPhone without extending contract?
yes, you would have to start a new contract. the only way to activate the iphone 2g is via iTunes and it MAKES you sign a two year contract.
Re: new att sercice area
hey, i'm in that zip code area, what store are you talking about?
the only other AT&T cor store i know of is in Topeka.
so yea, where in manhattan is this store?
Re: OK trying something different..
lol, I've had both of those happen to me today actually!
Mine would have to be, "how do I dial 411?"
Re: I can't believe AT&T does this!
ok, do YOU think you know better than the highly paid programmers that set this up and try to make it as fast and efficient as possible? Where is YOUR programming degree, YOUR consulting license?
Just because you THINK that it should be done faster, doesn't mean that it isn't as fast as it can be already. If it could be faster, they make it faster.
We at AT&T are not as dumb as you think we are.
Re: Anyone out there know how to make an account upgrade eligible?
most ppl I found don't NEED an exception upgrade. the only times i've found where it's valid, is:
out of warranty w/ no insurance, and/or number is out of contract and they are not upgrade eligible (barring any notes saying otherwise)
Re: Does anyone know..
there is a seperate thread for this: https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php ?fm=m&ff=7&fi=1772840
Re: Anyone out there know how to make an account upgrade eligible?
haha, yea i remember when that came out and it did ****! god I wanetd to punch the programmer who came up with that STUPID soc code.
Re: Call Center Blues
wow, kinda sounds like what we have. 'Cept ours doesn't really work and is slower than dial-up it seems.
