Yes they will likely. But it seems with this model, at least according to the rumors, the GSM carriers might only have a 3-6 month exclusive. Or time before a CDMA is released...

okay heres the scoop, the touch pro will be out in the end of 3Q or beginning of 4Q. We will not get the touch diamond ever because it is a GSM phone and by the time it is a CDMA phone Alltel won't be a company any longer. So the question you should be asking is when will Verizon be getting the touch diamond.

The HTC Pro (which is the GSM version of the Diamond a.k.a. HTC Prophet) will go to Alltel. The HTC Diamond is a CDMA phone, which will go to Sprint first, then possibly (I'm not a 100% sure) Verizon but on a later date.

I take back what I said. ๐Ÿคญ The Diamond is a full touch screen phone, while the Pro has a QWERTY keyboard.

ahhhhhhh the DIAMOND is not CDMA its GSM. It will not be released for any CDMA carrier like sprint, alltel, us cellular, verizon, ect. it will be released to GSM carriers like ATT and T-mobile. It may be release as a CDMA phone later on.

If you do your research some more and if you work for Sprint, you would know that the Diamond was supposedly for release on September 2. It was postponed for promotional purposes. And as basis from the link you posted, if you read a little closer, it said that models for Europe and Asia ARE GSM! Majority of carriers in europe and in asia use the gsm network,

I need to read previous posts? Maybe u should try it, then maybe you wont make yourself look stupid by sayin stupid crap like that..

"The HTC Pro (which is the GSM version of the Diamond a.k.a. HTC Prophet) will go to Alltel. The HTC Diamond is a CDMA phone, which will go to Sprint first, then possibly (I'm not a 100% sure) Verizon but on a later date. "

And you still made yourself sound stupid in that post just by saying a GSM phone will go to alltel when alltel is cdma..
use ur brain, it kinda helps
