repeater

I just received a phone call from sprint and they informed me that they are sending a repeater to increase my signal within my house. Does anyone know what this might look like or how it works?

Sprint PCS credit checks?

I had heard that they used to not even do credit checks... is that still the case, or is it just that they are way more lenient than everybody else? My friend wanted to buy Verizon from me, but her credit sucks, so I'm just checking around.

New Phone?

My Sprint rep was carrying a Samsung A700, or that's what he called it. I looked on here, but didn't see it, he may have told me wrong. It was sweet, still no BT. ☚ī¸

real talk

Gsm is good, but not great. Neither is CDMA for that matter. The bottom line is that Verizon has done a better job of pounding it into consumers heads that their network is the best. I apologize that the marketing teams at other carriers are unable to do this. Tmobile's marketing strategy concerns get more minutes, features, dropped calls, and refurbed phones. Cingular fits you bets moreso because of all the plans and features. But only one carrier delivers where it matter most, completing and holding onto a call more often than not.

VZW has already started offering more minutes with the IN Network calling, which was a huge success. I"m sure there is something else up their sleeve.

I think the consensus in some of these forums is that...

Is Sprint the next to fall?

Just wanted to get some feedback on this from my peers...

Look at this trend

MCI: GONE
AT&T: GONE

Sprint is now the only long distance carrier remaining in the cellular game...could they fall as well?

Sprint phone insurance question

I've been having some customers coming in to ask what they will get when they call in to request a phone replacement. Most of the time I can tell them that they will get what they already have, but a few have had the Sanyo 8100.

That phone was recently discontinued and I was wondering if anyone had any idea what they could/would get for a replacement.

I'm a dealer, so I don't know what they keep in stock for replacements. Any help would be appreciated.

Charging for Text Messages

I noticed a few months ago that Sprint has started charging for incoming text messages (if you don't have Vision). Is it legal for them to charge for a service that is not optional.

There seems to be no way to disable incoming text messages. I have tried through several different channels with no luck. Does anyone else out there have this problem, or am I the only one not on Vision?

my disappointment

Not sure what the value of this might be, but I will go ahead and vent my frustration anyway.

Last Aug, I received a call from a nice "customer care" rep offering lower rates for my primary and secondary line. Sounded attractive and I expressed interest, but when I was told that I would have to go back on a contract, I decided I only wanted to go through with it on my primary line. I had no real use for the second line and was going to cancel it soon. The rep told me that he had already entered an agreement on both, but I would be able to confirm each line independently in an automated procedure at the end of the call. I confirmed the primary line and DID NOT confirm the other one. Well, when I went back to cancel the second line, I ...

Suggestions....please.

First off, I'm signed up with Sprint and I'll be staying there because I'm related to someone that works for them and gets me a decent deal.

With that being said, I need some assistance in determining which will be my next phone. I've been using the same little flip phone for a few years now and have decided to upgrade.

I'm interested in a flip phone with a pocket-friendly price. Although I'd like the capabilities of having cool little ring tones, I'm definitely not interested in having a camera or anything special other than an external caller ID on the thing. Battery life is a plus as this little bugger that I have now drops dead after a couple of 10 minute calls.

Hopefully this will limit the choices....help! 😁
