Any Sprint Execs Out There?

First of all let me say that I believe the Sprint network to be the best. Not the biggest, but the best. No other carrier can offer what Sprint is offering and make it all work so well.
The issue I want to raise is a customer service issue. Sprint wants to do so much on the website, So how about if customers can request credits for billing issues on the website?
There could be a standard form that would require the customer to document specific reasons. Then if the system can approve credit amounts automatically a text message or email could be sent automatically.
Most times customers request credits are because of activation errors on SprintFast, issues in CSA changes and Free and Clear America not added properly to the account.
Your...

Is there any website with free ringtones anymore?

I have gone all these websites but now they have become pay websites. Are there any free ones? Also, i heard about that software where you can make your own ringtones for your phone. Does that work for new sprint sanyo phones and do i have to get the cabel that connects to the computer to transfer the ringtones?

Anyone have any info on east TX coverage?

Moving to east TX soon and I need to know if Sprint is a good choice for the area as far as AMPS and digital. I have heard that VZW is not that great out there. Any ideas?

College Park Maryland Coverage?

Hey, this fall Ill be making the big move to college at the Univeristy of Maryland in College Park Maryland. Anyways, Im probably changing my service from AT&T to Sprint for various reasons but I want to make sure Ill have good coverage down there (currently live in New York). Ill be buying the Sanyo VM4500. So anyone who lives there, near there or has been in the area with a sprint phone, the help would be appreciated. Thankyou. For reference, college park is pretty close to Washington DC (under 30miles i think). Thanks again.

EVDV

I'm surprised noone is responding to the news story on the home page here on phonescoop. Sprint is the only U.S. carrier that has shown interest in EVDV.

What will EVDV give?
* Cable speeds on the Sprint network for data
* Voice over IP
* Huge system capacity increases

EVDV will be commercially available next year.

When EVDV is deployed it will put Sprint ahead of Verizon with their EVDO and leave Cingular and ATTWS EDGE in the dust.

It could be the marketing advantage that will allow Sprint to make serious gains on the carriers ahead of them, especially in the business marketplace.

I know they have not officially revealed plans to implement EVDV but let's get real, this will give them a serious leg up on every other carrie...

Any other sprint customers have this problem?

My friend has recently gotten Sprint and he has the sanyo 4500 and now he's thinking of cancelling sprint because he doesn't really like the CDMA technology. he says that people's words sound slurred together when he tries talking to people so he always has to go, "What?"

Also, he has full reception in his room but it would always drop his calls. Like yesterday was really ridiculous. He was talking to me and ever 30 seconds or so, I wouldn't hear him at all and then it would just drop the call. We can barely get any talk time in there. I'm wondering if this is going to be a reoccurring problem because the only time I get to talk to him, he's in his room. The longest we got to talk was about 10 minutes and then it dropped it. After that, i...

Existing Sprint Customers Peeved?

I'm one of these Sprint customers that have had their phone for over 18 months at a service level that qualifies for the "Upgrade" offer to replace an existing handset with a new one.

Question. Why is it that existing customers have to pay full price for these upgrades, and then send in a mail-in rebate (which takes 6-8 weeks to process, *IF* they process it)?

I know today's cell market is about getting people connected, but I would have thought retention was a part of that as well. I've been a Sprint customer since 1999, and applauded their efforts to implement an upgrade program (albeit after some competitors offered this already), but was disappointed when I read the "fine print" for the offer.

I mean, it would be cheaper (in...

Sprint Fair and Flexible (and Expensive)

I was just looking at the brochure for the Sprint Fair and Flexible plan and man is that expensive. Ok, if you are an extremely erratic user than you might save some money, I mean that one month you use 300 minutes and the next you use 1500 and the next you use 900 minutes, etc. Maybe than you would save some money, but it seems to me that most people tend to have an average usage that is within about 100-150 every month. I do not think that the extra that the customer is paying for this plan is going to save money in the end.
