Signing up for sprint, 8200 vs. VGA1000, vs. 4050

I'm about to switch from Verizon to Sprint and get a new phone. Currently using a old Star Tac. Only dead zone I've had in 5 yrs is along Sand Point Way along Lake Washington. The phone always goes into analog mode and sounds like crap. Occasionally at home the phone will not ring but a voice mail will come through a few minutes later. I've heard Sanyos work great with Sprint, but Costco has the 4050 for $99 and includes the acc. pack (car charger, case, and head phone) or VGA 1000 $49 and acc. pack. No Sanyos at Costco, rep said that Sanyo could not gaurantee suply. Went to the Sprint store and chewed the fat with the rep there about the different phones sold etc. He'd give me the 8200 for $99 and a $50 service card. As the VGA1000 and 8200...

new sprint phones with vision 2.0

Vision 2.0 & The Handsets That Drive It

Sprint's legal death squad has been working overtime to try to put the bottle back on this, we already knew a lot of info, but other web sites have begun hosting a detailed specification sheet of four of Sprint's upcoming phones.

Sanyo 5600 - Samsung's A700 with ReadyLink, Memory Card Slot, QVGA Screen, Speakerphone

Sanyo 7400 - This phone represents a merger of the 8000 series and 7000 series. The durable camera phone will have a megapixel camera, streaming video (QTV) playback, as well as MIDP 2.0.

LG 535 - Samsung's A700 with slider form-factor and a memory card slot

The only new information that this sheet presented on the Samsung A700 was that it confirmed the device would have ...

Internet vs. Vision (help, please)

Can anyone give me a little rundown of what the major differences would be if I were running Vision on a regular phone vs. buying a smartphone and accessing the internet through it? Tell me if I have this right:

Sprint's $40 - $80 data plans apply for the PDA's, right? Also, it's regular internet instead of the text-only WAP?

Does Sprint have any new video phones?

I was looking around and saw that Verizon will "someday" get the Motorola V710. That phone does 3 minute video clips. That would be cool to have.

Do any of you know if Sprint will have anything that will do more than 15 second video clips. I'm saving up to get a Sanyo VM4500/5500, but if something better will be out in the next couple of months, then I'll just get that one instead

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a loyal Sprint man and would rather take a swift kick to the side of my head than go back to Verizon, I just think that will be a nice phone if, and when it ever comes out.

But we all know just how good the first version of any Motorola phone.

Any of you sprint employees out there...

I am looking to change the company that I work for. I currently sell cell phones now and was wondering how well sprint pays it's sales people. Do you get paid straight commission or is there a base salary as well?

I need help deciding on what to replace a A400 with... VI660, PM-6225, VI600 or VGA1000

OK, it's two years old and I keep getting signal fades. I had a PRL yesterday and had them run the 10 minute test at my local sprint store and everything checked out good... Actually, after the PRL, it seems a little better, and I need to order a new antenna if I keep it (lost it a few weeks ago but I've been having problems since January).

Originally I was going to get the Sony Erickson Bluetooth Phone from Sprint. But after hearing various problems people had around here, even though they seem to be minor issues, I'm thinking I'll wait on the route until they release their next BT phone. But, for the time being, I'm thinking that it's time I part with my phone and get something a little more reliable and updated.

These are what I'm...

Free ESN Change?

I read something about a free ESN change a while back I think. Well, I purchased a T608 and it's on its way here. Anyway, I was wondering where I could use the online thing (I think it was?) to do a free ESN change. If so, please post back! Thanks in advance!

PCS Fair & Flexible

WOW!! I just saw these plans and they are a joke. Someone is getting fired over this one. Keep your eyes open for these plans. Way too expensive.

SPRINT [NY Tri-State Area] and SCP-5500 / VM4500 (Opinions)

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could help me out with your opinions and facts if you have any.

After a long struggle with T-Mobile I am now canceling the service and I have pretty much two choices. Verizon or Sprint.

Now Verizon is used by MANY people. It has GREAT service in most areas (but, not my house or atleast with my parents' phones) and good plans. The phones they offer are good and not many people complain.

Now, Sprint on the other hand is used by SOME people. But, it has GODLY service in all areas and good plans. The phones they offer are mad nice, and I'm planning on getting the SCP-5500 / VM4500.

The Sprint information I get is from a friend of mine. She owns a Sanyo 8100, and always makes trips down to NYC to v...

Motorola V80

Does anyone know if Sprint will carry this phone. Are there any Motorola's, Sanyos, etc scheduled to be released that will have battery life longer than 2 1/2 hours.

Thank you
