First off, I'm signed up with Sprint and I'll be staying there because I'm related to someone that works for them and gets me a decent deal.

With that being said, I need some assistance in determining which will be my next phone. I've been using the same little flip phone for a few years now and have decided to upgrade.

I'm interested in a flip phone with a pocket-friendly price. Although I'd like the capabilities of having cool little ring tones, I'm definitely not interested in having a camera or anything special other than an external caller ID on the thing. Battery life is a plus as this little bugger that I have now drops dead after a couple of 10 minute calls.

Hopefully this will limit the choices....help! 😁

Interesting reply in that Sprint no longer offers any LG phones currently (they were seen as junk and SPCS stopped offering them). What Verizon offers is of no value to SPCS customers are they are not compatible. Even now, my Nokia 3588i performs poorer roaming on Verizon than SPCS with the same signal strength. Phones are built network specific by the manufacturer.

Just goes to show what Sprint knows. LG phones are some of the best out there, comparable to Samsung, who is their biggest competitor.

And actually, Sprint DOES offer LG.What do you call the VI-5225?

You definitely sound like a prospect for a Samsung VI660. It's the lowest priced flip phone in Sprint's arsenal and also the only flip phone that doesn't have readilink or a camera.

I suggest the LG-5225 this is one of the more pocket and price friendly phones, at 49.99 this light weight(3.25 to be exact) phone and the dimentions 3.5" x 1.89" x 1.0"...it has an external called id, which is nice to have if you like avoiding calls 😈 and ways, it does support the polyphonic ringtones and games... and if you'd like to look at it click here http://www.sprintpcs.com/flash/spinny.html?x= LGVI5225HK&xClose=true and if you want to see a demo http://www.sprintpcs.com/flash/idemo.html?x=L GVI5225HK
