I just received a phone call from sprint and they informed me that they are sending a repeater to increase my signal within my house. Does anyone know what this might look like or how it works?

Did you get it yet? Does it work? I've been trying all day to get someone at Sprint that knows about this so that I can get one.

yes I got it yesterday and it has not made any improvement in my signal strength

Is there a contact number at Sprint that I can call and try this out to see if it works for me? My calls from my house last about a minute before the signal fades.

A repeater (if I understand your application) is a miniature cell site without the "guts". It is basically a single CDMA channel dipole antenna that repeats the signal to and from a full tower. They are also called enhancers.
They can be placed on a variety of existing structures which reduces cost. They are commonly used when signal penetration is needed but there is not enough usage to justify the bucks for a full blown cell site.

OMG Sprint does suck! there's no need to have any of this equipment with any other carrier, LOL you need to get a "repeater" so you can make a phone out of your house??? which from what I read does not repeat/improve crap...! What a shame? I hope they're no...
