i-730 Vs. Audivox 6600, and others!

I am new here, and would appreciate any help.

Keep issues, and or comparsions to other PDA's-Phones.

1. Bluetooth, wireless headsets.
2. Volume
3. Battery Life, especially with the use of Data.
4, High speed Internet EVO
5. Speaker Phone
Size to fit is a pocket, and the comfort of use.
6. Remember the Hitachi G1000 for Sprint?

I am looking to go to MLB.com, and play live Baseball feeds, will this work and good?

How about the playback of TV shows?

How far is the Windows. Mobile 5.0 Technology.

"GOOD" news for blackberry-like service on i730

I came accross an article on eWeek:

http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1834917,00.asp »

..that explains RIM's competitor GoodLink will be provided though Sprint (currently with Cingular). GoodLink's push email service is much more feature rich than RIM's and will give Blackberry a run for the money. Plus the article says they will also support their service on the Samsung i730 through Verizon's EVDO as well as over Wifi. I think this added ability of Push over Wifi is a major PLUS!

The only thing I am concerned about here is if this service will be available to consumers. Currently GoodLink only offers service to Enterprises.

Battery Life Treo 650 vs i730? Does the i730 lose?

According to a recent review of the 1730 on the Wall Street Journal, the battery on the i730 sucks compared to the 650. Is there any confirmation out there? This is a major deciding factor for me.

Active Sync Crashes

I have spent an enormous time with tech support people with Verizon and with Samsung regarding a persistent problem with Active Sync (version's 3.7 and 3.😎 crashing on my PC. Each time it crashes, I need to delete the program and then re-install it. I've deleted wireless synch from my handheld, added on a piece of software that is supposed to resolve reported conflicts with Symantic Antivirus Corporate Edition Version 8.0, I've determined that I don't have PC Anywhere on my computer (another potential source of trouble) and yet my Active Sync still crashes. I love my I730 phone, but since my corporate firewall will not give me access (yet) to Wireless Sync, I really need Active Synch to work. Has anyone else had similar problems? Does anyon...

Tethered Modem

😢 Could someone please help me? I have this shiny new phone and gave up a Motorola v710 for this and it's a great phone. However I'm trying to use it as a modem via blue tooth with my laptop. I've called Verizon, they don't support that because they want you to pay them and use their service. I called Samsung and they told me it could be done, but they don't support it because Verizon wants me to pay them and use their service. Can anyone help me with this?

Thank You in Advance.

Using WIFI cost money?

I was told by a Verizon customer care person that if you use a Wifi hot spot or your home wireless network it will charge you Data minutes.

Is this true or did that person not know what they were talking about.(I hope not)

Turning off hybrid mode.

Does anyone know how to put the i730 in CDMA only mode. I do not get ED-VO in our area and I think that is causing the battery to drain fast.

i730, Verizon Data plan and $100 rebate

Thinking about getting this phone or the Treo 650.

If I subscribe to either the $44.95 unlimted or $29.95 (10MB) plan, how long do I need to remain subscribed in order to qualify for the $100 dataplan rebate or savings?

Hot Spot Challenge

I have had the phone for just over a week now and am really loving it. Yep, it has a few things that make me crazy, but the tradeoff of carrying one device is worth it.

My question is that I have a very hard time connecting to a wireless hotspot. Everytime I enable wireless and try to connect to the router, the Verizon service tries to dial the *777. When it can't do that, I am just stuck--can't connect to anything at that point.

I know that there was a discussion about this, but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help with a fix?

Promo

I was in my local Verizon store on Tuesday and asked about the SCH i730. The rep said he did not know much about it but thought he had one in the store. He got it and took it out of the box. I looked at it and played with it while he tried to find it in the system. He fumbled around a bit and said the phone with NE2 was $599 and data plan discount was another $100 off. He said he also saw a note that said there could be another $100 off or more for the promo. He said he could sell me the phone but advised that I could save $100 if I wait two days so I did. Anyone heard of any promos? I did not see any on Verizons website today.

Bluetooth car pairings

I need feedback from anyone who has paired the i730 with the Denso Bluetooth modules used by Lexus/Toyota and some others. Pairing the Handsfree profile is pretty straight forward and successful but I am seeing problems with the phonebook transfer. Name information is transfering fine but phones numbers result in nothing but vertical bars? Is this a result of VZW restrictions as in the V710 and V815 or is it some other issue?
