Motorola V265 / V266 / V276

just bought the V265 ... upset that it only came with a stationary holster

anyone know where to purchase a swivel holster? or are they not out yet?

also, anyone know where to purchase cooler looking faceplates? or is the faceplate even changeable on the v265

Has anyone else had a problem with getting the date to display on their phone even after setting it to do so? The first day I got my phone I found the option to display the date, and even select the format. It worked too. But then the next day I noticed it had vanished, and gone back to just saying "Verizon Wireless" even though the setting never changed! My friend just got the same phone and ntheh same exact thing happened to him. Help!!! 😳

I just purchased this phone a day ago... when I got it home and made a few calls in a quiet area I noticed it has a high pitched buzz or whine when holding it to my ear... anyone else notice this? It not only occurs when making a call, but when just holding the phone to my ear, even after the backlight goes off.

anyone know if the V265 has the same battery charger as the my old V60. it doesnt look like the same thing but when i plug in the v60 charger, the v265 starts charging.

i would like to know if this is ok or if i'm damaging the phone

Anyone tried DataPilot yet with the 265? Their website doesn't list the 265 yet but I guess it should work. I know previous posts claim mobile phone tools works.

Has anyone noticed on their phone in the rear battery cover is a bit loose on the right side? That is if the phone is facing you open, there's a very small space between the battery cover and phone on the right side.

I've been wanting a new phone and thought this was it. With the recent price drop, now was the time. Checked it out in the VZW store and was totally disappointed. I played with the real thing, not a display. It seemed cheap, the battery cover came off twice while I was holding it, and I had trouble seeing the screen. The build quality is not as nearly as good as everyone says. What a disappointment! ☹️

the info i get from this site and others about the faceplate is that it can be changed. i have the phone and it doesn't look like it can be removed. does anyone know? the front cover is easily scratched and it would be nice it could really be replaced... i heard somewhere that on the v260 it could be changed but not on this model? can anyone confirm this?

tried the LG VX6100 for about a week. i'm pretty dissapointed with both battery life and the reception. In areas with great signal, it performed ok but in my house where i get 3bars as opposed to 4-5bars, it constantly switch between 1x to analog to no signal even if the phone is just on my desk. i returned it and now i'm planning to get the V265. i had much success with my Moto v60i. it had excellent RF. wondering if the V265 is comparable or even better. also battery of the LG lasted 2days only w/ moderate use. any idea how this one is in real world use?

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN THIS PHONE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR US CELLULAR??

This has to be the first phone in a long time that dose not have this simple feature.

saw my friend's v265 with the VZW leather sold in their stores. it has the roughest edges i've seen. looks and feels very very cheap. hopefully the body glove cellsuit comes out for v265. seen the ones for the v400 and they almost fit perfectly... and feel much better than what VZW sells.

I emailed some pictures to me v265. when i set them as wallpaper (center) it fits nicely. But when i change it to (fit to screen) it gets a ll zoomed in and pixlelated.
Ive tried resizing my pcs to match the default pic on the 265. but it still does not work! when i click on the details on wone of the defaults it has 128 x 128 resolution. i tried that and still too big. anybody?

just got my v265 2day and used used motorola mobile phone tools and cable to upload all my contacts to it. software works great except for 1 thing. The icon that allows me to upload/download images and ringtones is disabled. you've done it again VZW. when i plug my friends V300 T-mobile, it's enabled. For the v265, does anyone know if there's a way around this to allow mp3 tones or pictures to be sent/received from the phone?

I haven't received my phone yet. I want to know if it offers picture caller ID on the inside display? thanks.

Which is the best deal... the Moto V265 or the LG 7000? I have read comparisons on both the 265 and LG6100, but the 6100 just looks cheap. I previously had an LG 5250 a couple years back which was a piece of crap. I am assuming with the popularity of the LG 6000, that LG corrected some of the problems with their previous line. From all the reviews on the Audiovox 9900, it seems like that would be the best bet, but alas, I cannot find that model anywhere.... I'll be honest, all the little "toys" (i.e. camera, display, sound and goodies) do play apart in my decision.....

I already scratched the surface of my phone, and i was wondering if i can change the faceplate? If I can where can i order some? also is the v265 DISCONTINUED? I sa it for $49.99 thats usually a sign that it has been discontinued.

I already posted a user review, so I'll add this update to the Forum. I got my wife a V260, on sale at Radio Shack now. Talked to her for 1/2 hr on my way home from work tonight w/ my V265 and the call was crystal clear the whole way on both ends. I've had problems with some dead spots in the past en-route home, and didn't even notice with this phone. I'm really impressed with a low cost phone that has this this kind of jump in performance. We'll see how it lives over many months of use and abuse, but so far I'm extremely happy and proud that MOT is getting back into the game and competing well.
