high pitched whine/buzz
I just purchased this phone a day ago... when I got it home and made a few calls in a quiet area I noticed it has a high pitched buzz or whine when holding it to my ear... anyone else notice this? It not only occurs when making a call, but when just holding the phone to my ear, even after the backlight goes off.

I would bring the phone back and get it replaced. ☹️

I noticed the same high pitched buzzing noise on the 265 I just got today. Let me know if the new one you get/got is better. So far im not too impressed with the screen and definately not the camera. Functionaly is nice though-- speakerphone is clear, voice commands are good. But man, this screen sucks. My wife just got the vx6100 and while i like the looks of the 265 more, that LG just seems like a better phone both feature-wise and quality-wise. 14 more days on my 15 day return so ill give it a little more time before i make my final decision.

I have gotten kind of used to that faint whine... only really notice it in real quiet areas now. The reason I went with the v265 was because all of the complaints with the vx6100 were with poor reception quality. How does the wifes 6100 hold up to the 265 reception wise?

So far the reception has been great with her vx6100. Havent even noticed the volume bug that others have complained about.
I dont the 265 should be making that noise. If you plan to keep the phone, i would take it to a vz store and let them fix or replace it.

I've noticed this on other Moto phones as well. I had it on my v810. That's one of the reasons I got rid of it. Have no idea what it is or why it does it though.

I have 3 - v265s and none of them have the high pitched whine/buzz you mention. I would return it to vzw and get another.
