Can you do multiple numbers/name yet?

I had the V60s some time ago and took it back since you had to create a completely separate entry for each phone number somebody had, rather than having multiple numbers saved on one name.

Have they changed this feature for the better or is it still a separate entry for each number?

saw v265 at verizon corp store today...

i actually went to look at a couple of phones, one of them the v265. anyway, because it is still new, they did not have a working model on display.

the non-working display model felt very cheap. i also do not like the buttons much. can anybody confirm the build quality on the real phone feels better than the non-working display model?

they also had a non-working display model of the lg vx6100. compared to the non-working display model of the v265, the build quality felt much better on the lg vx6100. the only thing i didn't like about the lg vx6100 is the chrome trim around the internal screen.

i also asked about the v260, but the employee didn't seem to know much about it.

yesterday, i also went to a local radio shack as i...

Any apple users know how to show v265 in finder?

Hi,
You have know idea how pissed off im right now. I bought the usb cable just for the reason i can add mp3 ringtones to my phone.
The only thing that works is isync. it works just fine contacts and the datebook. But it does not show up in the finder. How can I transfer my mp3's to the v265?
Is there a way to show up in the finder?
Is there a special program i can download/hack?
how about converting the mp3 into a midi file, so i can send it to my self through verizons pixplace.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated! thanks

LG VX-6100 vs Mot V265

I am currently using the VX-6100 during my NE2 15 day trial, and really like what I've seen thus far. I came from my beloved Startac 7868 which I still have.

I am wondering what people's field experiences have been with the V265? I'm in the Boston area so coverage is not a problem for me. The 6100 has a nice camera and display, and I would be tempted to swap to the v265, but all the stories I hear of Motorola QC and s/w glitches has me hesitant. The last thing I want to is to end up with a "free" (after rebates, etc) "wrong" NE2 phone.

Experiences from the trenches of using the V265 would be most appreciated.

My main needs are:

- Loud Speakerphone (used while driving)
- Simple navigation (again, used often while driving...

Any apple users out there with the V265???

Hi,
Im an avid apple user. Im running 10.3.6 and unfortunately motorola mobile to pc software is ONLY FOR PC. I called tech support and guess what they told me. They dont support MAC because PC counts towards 90% of the market share!!! I havent laugh so hard in my life!!!!
Anyway Im trying so hard to find some software or hacks to be able to have my mac recongnize my v265. I want to add my mp3 ringtones that ive created and update my contacts ect... I refuse to pay that verizon that "get it now" bullshit. Thanks

V710 vs. v265 Winner: V265. Now next is Audiovox 9900

Ive looked at the reviews and there is some very positive reviews on the audiovox 9900. And since toshiba makes audiovox. IMO toshiba ranks 5th behind the top manufactures.
1. sony
2. panasonic
3. phillips
4. samsung
5. toshiba

Can it really be better then the v265?
Now size, design, and sound clarity is the top catagoires in comparing phones, since lately al cellies are closly equal as far as functions ae concerned.

HOw do I switch back to a phone call in call waiting?

Hi,
I don't know how to how to go back to a previous call.
I'm on the line I get another call, I know how to answer that one, but then when I tried to switch back, I couldn't do it.

The manual doesn't bring those instructions
(I think)

Can someone please tell me how to switch back to the previous call,

Thanks

Can you use the speakerphone with the phone closed??

Is the clarity of this phone better than that of the lg 6100, or the audiovox 9900 if anyone knows.

Handsfree Devices

Does anyone know of a handsfree device that allows the use of the "ObeyMoto" commands? I'm looking for something akin to the button that "Mutes/Ends" a call, but instead would activate the Voice Command feature. I'd like to be driving, and press the button on the cord of the Handsfree, and tell the phone who to dial, rather than reach down, pick up the phone, and then press the button on the side of the phone.

Any thoughts?

Speakerphone Volume?

Hi everyone,

I just have a quick question for anyone who has this phone, how is the speakerphone volume? Has anyone tried using it in a moving car? Is it loud enough for that?

I appreciate any feedback, thanks.

V70i user makes the switch

I just got the V265. I have to say I was skeptical after having a V60i since 2001. My suggestion to V60i users is get past the lightweight and plastic feel--it's not your old friend the V60i. But you'll be happy to know the normal Moto behaviors are there and you'll be up and running in no time. Great plusses include loud rings, MobileWeb 2.0, better reception, louder and clearer connections. Got it for free with rebate and 2yr extension.

v265 software questions/glitch?

After using this phone for a week and a half, my only complaint is software bugginess. Does anyone else have these problems: From when I turn on the phone until a signal is found, it can take up to 35 seconds. No other phone I've had takes that long. Is this normal for this phone? Is it just mine? Also, the software sometimes jams up if I move to fast from one command or application to another. It jams up, screen goes blank, and takes a up to a minute to recover and find a signal again. It only happens rarely, but still ... Seems like it's a flaw. Is it mine or have others experienced it on this phone? ANYONE?????
