LG enV Touch VX-11000

I own the Env Touch and everytime I am txting and one is being received at the same time I always bumps me out of the txt im working on it saves it in the drafts. This really annoys me. Is there a setting I can use to continue the message I am working on then look at the incoming message when I am ready thanks.

I have a blackberry Tour and my son just got the Touch. I am impressed and have poked around on it to see what the email capabilities are.. Does anyone know if it will work with a pop or any other work maybe active sync ??

i have had more verizon phones than any person should have ever have and i never had either of these problems on any of them. but to be fair, i never used t9 word till my last phone, the lg dare.

first problem is that my phone isn't learning words. i read the thread saying you have to be in ABC in order for your phone to learn words and i tried that but it didn't work. if someone can maybe explain to me how to fix this problem in a more detailed explanation. on my lg dare, i would just type the word and my phone knew it. but it is getting annoying that it won't learn words, especially my sister's name.

the second problem i am having is that my phone gets really hot when it charges. if i charge it battery down, my phone gets almo...

I have not had a chance to play with this phone at a Verizon store yet, so I was just wondering is it possible to text from the front touch screen or do you have to open the phone to text?? Any responses would be much appreciated!! Thanks and have a good weekend!!

If the phone is open can the outside screen be used for self photo's? if so how do you turn it on?

I presently have the Voyager and am seriously considering getting the enV Touch. Any info on the following would be greatly appreciated:


1. I read somewhere that you can record video in not only 176x144 and 320x240 (just like the Voyager), but also 640x480... is this true? If so that would be great!

2. How impressive is the threaded text messaging? It sounds cool, just wondering how well it's been implemented here (considering it's Verizon's first go at it).

3. How good do youtube videos play?

4. One of my gripes with the Voyager was the software lag... for instance when scrolling through my contact list (especially if the contacts had pics...), or lag in viewing/displaying saved pics, or just navigating the menu in general...

Does anyone know how to set the inside D-pad "OK" button so that it does not send the message?

I've accidentally sent a few unfinished messages when I was trying to use the directional arrows to edit the message and hit the "OK" button in the center. It would be great if the only way to send a message was the actual "Send" button above the D-pad.

Does anyone know how the remove the send function from the D-pad "OK" button.

I love the env touch. Recently whenever i turn off and on the phone reboots to its original settings. All of the display themes and sound settings are back to default. The phone will also randomly reboot and the same will happen.

anybody else having these problems?

I am considering the env touch but i have a couple questions only an owner could answer.

1. Did verizon lock the gps to its vz nav or can you use google maps/live search?
2. Can you download and run any aftermarket apps(such as ascendo money, google maps, live search,) on these phones?
3. How is the calendar program to use...is it similar to outlook or a blackberry calendar?

If you've ever had a PDA I suggest you don't try this phone. This is a toy for teenagers. It's flashy and has all the bells and whistles that Verizon offers that you can pay for but is very limited. No google maps, (which I prefer to verizon navigation), no Pandora. It's quite a step back from any PDA I've had previously. It's just too limited.

Just to let everyone know if you set your internal directional keys shortcut to ringtones it will restart the phone when that key is pushed. Found this problem on 1 of my 4 phones and checked the rest all do it so it is a software issue. Just to let everyone know we love the phones but did have the first 4 replaced because of bad or loose hinges on the mic end. All 4 replacements are fine but still some small software issues (still on kv03)until i hear that kv04 has made improvements

First of all, I love this forums - what a pleasure to read polite and helpful postings.

Now the problem - This has happened a couple of times, and I'm not sure if it's coincidence or if there is a problem with my Touch. While using a voice-mail menuing system, after leaving a message, the system was not responding to my touchscreen commands. I would press a key to send the message and the system responded as if I had hit another key. I tried pressing various other touchscreen keys, and the v/m system would give the same response, regardless of which key I pressed. As I mentioned, this has happened on two different occasions, with two different v/m systems. Any Thoughts?

Welp, this is the phone I've been waiting for since I first got my Voyager. I thought "This phone is awesome and if they would just change this, this and this it would be my dream phone."

LG delivered. It was like they made the phone just for me. I waited a little over a month for the software updates and bought it. Big mistake.

The phone IS awesome, but as it exists now is totally unusable for me. I do a lot of social networking/message board type stuff, and this d-pad is a total disaster. It's obvious they tried to make the scrolling more mouse-like, which is cool, but they got it all wrong.

It's a total chore to try to post anything on a social networking site or message board, you press down on the d-pad to hit the p...

Is this possible? 😲

Had this phone since it came out and have been pretty disappointed so far. The texting is pretty bad as far as it lags behind what you are typing. And it does not save the setting to use t9 as default it keeps changing back and forth between that and regular mode. It does not save the words you add for t9 very well, nor does it recognize words you use most with strings of letters that use a lot of words. I had them do an update today that was supposed to fix some of that and does not seem to help yet. Also have had trouble saying the battery was charged and I unplugged it and it was only half charged. Typing on the keyboard is clumsy cause of the space button and using the touch keyboard on the front hardly ever gets the letter I am lo...

I tried using the document viewer by puting a word document on my memory card. but it isn't doing anything. i named the document "my_document" like it said, nothing. i tried making a folder and nameing it my_document, still nothing. what am i doing wrong here?

So I'm looking around one of the forum sections on the env touch and some people are saying they can watch full movies. How does one do that?

Okay I have a vibrating problem. When I turn off the touch vibrating- the phone wont vibrate when I get a call/text. I've tried turning off the "vibrate effect" to stop the touch vibrate but it doesn't stop it. I just want it to vibrate when I get a call/text not when I touch it. Can someone help me? I've tried everything and can't figure it out! Help!? 😳

OK so i go into Verizon to upgrade my original alias(yes the ugly gold one) to an enV touch. Long story short they tell me i have to change my plan(no price change). The way they explained it is i can't have the enV touch on my current plan because when i use the internet and stuf it charges me airtime, but i need to change it to MB use. Is this whole thing legitimate?
