some enV Touch questions...

I presently have the Voyager and am seriously considering getting the enV Touch. Any info on the following would be greatly appreciated:

1. I read somewhere that you can record video in not only 176x144 and 320x240 (just like the Voyager), but also 640x480... is this true? If so that would be great!

2. How impressive is the threaded text messaging? It sounds cool, just wondering how well it's been implemented here (considering it's Verizon's first go at it).

3. How good do youtube videos play?

4. One of my gripes with the Voyager was the software lag... for instance when scrolling through my contact list (especially if the contacts had pics...), or lag in viewing/displaying saved pics, or just navigating the menu in general...

1. Yes this is true.

2. I like it. You can do it by date or contact. I like it, more organized than just normal txts.. if you txt a lot like me.

3. Haven't tried that yet.

4. Not sure about this either, but I haven't noticed any lagging.

5. Ha, again not sure. I have the EnV 2 before this. Seems like the txt recieving/sending is the same to me. The email is a bit faster, to me at least. More smooth.

Sorry I dont have many answers, I tried!

answer to Q1 yes, 320x240 is the highest. very good quality. i've tested. granted not a camcoder but your cell is always with you.

Q2: It's nice just to see that one person thread text msg. You don't have to scrol thru all others to read that one person thread text.

Q3: Rev A does seem to help with the uploading of the videos to view. As for the Quality its all up to the user who post their low quality videos. I would say the enternal screen is a much better quality screen for watching youtube videos.

Q4: Very fast to scrol thru contacts. Much better then the Dare. As for pix scrol. the more pix saved the lagger it becomes. however, i have it set at the highest resolution. doesn't matter if it save to your memory card either. ...

VERIZON's first go at what? Threaded text messaging? Um, my Palm Centro has threaded text messaging and I've had it a year now....????

I think they're talking about the first "dumbphone" with the verizon UI to use threaded. I had a treo much older than your centro and I had to unlock the palm feature that VZ hid away... but it had threaded on it.

I don't know how people ever got along without threaded e-mails and texts... ever since gmail came out, I can't live without it.
